I did not know this existed nice..:)
If I am in an area of bright light but behind cover, and I have to move across a wide open area to get to new cover can I cross the wide open area and still be considered to be using stealth.
This also assumes the potential observer is not distracted, and I have enough movement to get there at the end of my turn.
Part 2:
Can I move from my covered position and walk up to someone and stab them without them seeing me due to stealth. Once again I would have to cross a wide open area with no cover.
PS:I will not ask any more questions after this one.. :)
PS2:If you do answer I understand. :)

Wraithstrike,
I am trying real hard not to let this devolve into an impromptu rules answering forum.. otherwise that is all that will appear here.
That said... we are aware of this issue and have a fix coming up soon. That is all I am gonna say right now.
Ok, I like fixes. :)
I have a non-rules question clarification question.
How long does it normally take you to write the adventure section of an AP. I don't mean the entire AP, just one book out of the six.

Well, I believe an AP adventure is about 30K, in which case that would take me about 30 hours to write.. roughly. Not counting time spent planning it out and drawing maps, which can vary wildly.

PATHFINDER 2 JUST CONFIRMED!
:-P
Do you have a baseline character you use to compare the damage potential new rules can cause? How is it bring a celebrity in the RPG crowd?
Umm.. no.
As for the rest, we do generally compare things to our baseline iconics, but it is usually a far more complicated process than just comparing damage curves.
As for being a celebrity.. I don't know about all that. I guess I am well known, and this is a good thing, but I think celebrities have nicer cars than I do.

No its not...
Of course, that is what I would say if I was attempting to deny the idea that I was trying to cover up that I have accidentally hinted at such news and were trying to kill of a rumor...
Or.. you know.. I was hinting at an upcoming errata.

Dear Jason,
Longtime admirer, first time poster... Quick question: Why do you think this thread has more posts than your thread? Why does everyone hate me more than they like you... boo hoo... I am so sad now.. my mustache is all droopy with tears...

The reasonable conclusion would be the latter, I suppose. So I shall apply the same criteria of reasonableness that every conspiracy theorist uses...
You're right Cheapy. He as good as said it.

The same reason this thread has more posts than both threads? :)
That's not fair! The T-Rex has a few years head start, Big meanie.

Cosmo's thread has more posts than this one because everyone hates Cosmo.. its such an easy thread to build..
As for James' thread, he is a far more prolific poster here on the boards and has had a few years headstart. Between here, facebook, google+, and twitter, I spend more than enough of my day answering questions and posting up news...

Does Lisa Stevens either GM or play in any of the legendary Paizo house games? Would you be intimidated by GMing for your boss?

Jason, I was reading the James Jacobs thread and when asked about booze he replied that he liked things flavored like raspberries and probably something about little umbrellas. I was deeply saddened.
Then I come over here and you're talking about brewing beer and drinking scotch and my faith in Paizo and humanity was restored. I am indebted to you.
Have you ever had Spice Tree? I was reminded of it just now because it restored my faith in blended scotch. Really nice for the under $70 bunch. Do you enjoy an occasional cigar?

I have indeed tried spice tree and it is not bad. Might have to give it another look.
And no cigars for me I am afraid. Never could acquire the taste for them.
Compass Box did a tasting last year and I was really blown away by the quality of their blends. Spice Tree, and I believe their other whiskies, only use 10-12 year old whisky to make their blends which really shows. If you're into more peaty scotch, their Peat Monster will instill a raw joy in you.

Jason, who on the Paizo team is generally responsible (or the most enthusiastic/vocal if it's not a sole domain) for designing the new Inevitables/advocating things for them?
Well, those have gone mostly through my team, but I am not sure they have a specific champion. I think Wes helped figure them out quite a bit in the planning of our bestiaries, iirc.

Indeed indeed, have to keep an eye out for some stragglers. I don't have the option of Canada being right next door for shipping to like Paizo has.

What can you tell us about some of the other non-capital cities in Razmiran? We really don't have much down in print about the country proper and yet it is in one of the most well traveled parts of avistan and borders at least 2 area in which we've had whole ap's occur (Carrion Crown and Kingmaker).
Jason Bulmahn Lead Designer |
Will there be new base classes? Noble(s), "crafters" (non-magical, Divine and Arcane), Holy Knights (like Paladins but alignment can vary like Cleric and Inquisitors)?
Totemist?
Answer unclear... we might make room for more classes in future books, but right now I'd lean toward alternate classes instead of entirely new base classes.

Jason,
What is the thing you are working on or have on your plate that is most exciting to you?
What was the thing you worked on in the past that was most exciting to you?
What am I most excited about right now? Hmm... [redacted] and [redacted]... but in the realm of stuff I can talk about, Emerald Spire is shaping up to be pretty cool, I got another installment of the PFS special event Ruins of Bonekeep, and I got a number of fun Minotaur Games pdfs I am working on. Busy busy...
As for things in the past, it would be hard to beat the Core Rulebook and APG.

Still tricky I am afraid. Generally speaking, we do not like to spread around one class' signature feature to another class, hence why the ninja is an alternate rogue class.

Check out your favorite liquor store. Compass Box is fairly popular and they'll likely have some at a large retailer. If not, my retailer has always been open to buying a case of something if I promise to buy a bottle or two. Yours might also.

If one wanted to make a diminutive fey race using the ARG, what would be the RP cost of diminutive, its ability score adjustments and the like be?
(A diminutive/tiny fey campaign could be fun.)
Well, we did not include diminutive because as a PC race it introduces a lot of problems with ability score balance. If you were going to do an entire campaign of diminutive creatures, I would just build them normally and add the diminutive on top at zero cost (since everyone will have it). As far as ability scores, Str -10, Dex +6, Con -2.. which is pretty rough.
