What does "courageous" do?

Why do Minotaur Games PDFs start with the prefix that Paizo PDFs use? When you download them from this site.

Does the design team ever abandon or change ideas because they wouldn't work in PFS? Or, I guess, how often does pfs influence design?

If one of the iconics have to meet a swift death to save the others... wich one would you prefer to be?

Love.. how can you not love that movie, if for nothing other than the skeleton fight!

It is added for coding in the system. Not sure why that is a requirement.

We try to keep it in mind, but it does not stop us from pursuing a good idea. We have made some tweaks here and there to make things a bit more PFS friendly.

Not because I hate him or anything, but that seems like the sort of thing Valeros would do.

Or Alain? But in his case, it wouldn't be voluntary.

JJ said you were the source from whom he learned of Cthulhu Wars. From whence didst thou learn of it?

SRD Link courageous weapon enhancement.

There is also a trait with the same name.

Jason, you're the beer person, right? I have some beer questions.

1. What's the earliest know de-alcoholized (1 proof) beer?

2. Is it possible to make de-alcoholized lager?

3. How would the people of the Stolen Lands take to de-alcoholized lager?

Jason, what are you most looking forward to about the upcoming Mythic release (aside from releasing it!).

A legitimate question:

How is your surname pronounced? I read it in my head as "Bull-mun", but the spelling could lead to numerous alternatives, such as "Bewl-marn".

Some (decidedly tongue-in-cheek) questions:

1) Do you sometimes troll the Rules Forum on a non-developer account?

2) Do you (and the rest of the design team) ever send Rule Forum threads to each other under a subject something along the lines of "look what they're arguing about this week!"?

3) Have you ever read a Rules Forum post and just said "What the? I don't even..."?

4) Is there an office sweepstakes on the number of paladin alignment threads generated each week?

4a) Who wins it most often?

4b) Is it because they create non-staff accounts just to start new threads?

5) Have you ever designed a rule (ability/feat/spell/monster) and on second look realised that it was perhaps the single most overpowered thing imaginable, because you forgot another rule?

Those are (mostly) closed questions on purpose, but if you wish to expand your answers beyond simple yes or no, feel free.

Do you think seeing the sales data for your imprint will influence other larger projects at Paizo? Say a specific type of monster sells a lot, so you'd know there's a fair bit of popularity around that monster.

Have you kept up with E3 at all? Do you care about consoles? PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, or any combination?

Small beet or small ale has been around since the middle ages, primarily as an alternati e to dirty water. You can certainly have a low alcohol lager. I think theyd cut you in the stolen lands for that.

JASON! What do you think about the big-ass spider I just dropped in your office?

Spoiler:
...grits teeth and awaits reprisal...

That spider is horrifying and if that was me I'd be planning some sort of super evil retribution...just for the pic!

Liberty's Edge

Why do you drop unpleasant things in each other's offices?

Compared to us forum trolls, the spiders are probably pleasantly cute and fluffy.

Yea but its not like James took a bunch of the most active rpg forums section members forums and told them 'Jason wants to talk to you about his solutions to monks, rogues, stealth, martial/caster disparity, and high level play. He promised he has it all sorted out but wanted to know what you thought before it went to beta' and pushed us into Jasons office baring the door from the outside.

Something tells me Jason would rather the spider...

Liberty's Edge

I have a THREAD IDEA!!!

Jason what do you think about this thread? http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2ma9s?Personal-Range-Alchemist-Infusions#39 with a simple ''yes'' or ''no'' you could clear all our questions and arguments about it.

The thread here isn't for answering rules question, hence the title "NonRules Questions". I think that includes linking to them. You just have to FAQ them and wait because it takes time to figure out the implications of a rules question.

Is there a rhyme or reason for the CL of a monster not matching the HD? Is there some way to best figure out the CL?

This is not a rules question per se, so hopefully you'll indulge me ...

WHY does the terrasque have DR/epic when Epic does not currently exist in Pathfinder? Is this referring to some other 'epic' other than the 3.5 Epic rules or was this an oversight?

Thanks!!!

I don't know where I read it, but I thought that weapons with a +6 or higher equivalent enhancement bonus were considered epic? Like, say, a +5 flaming sword (technically +6).

No, it's just a +6 weapon. Not an effective +6, it has to be a +6.

Paladin's Smite Evil bypasses it, as Jason said during the mythic playtest :)

Yar!

...first, a little distraction...

For Jose Suarez 916: The paizo staff are a busy lot. However, one of them (Ross) did post THIS lovely commentary on rules questions and the Rules Forum. Summed up, a lot of rules issues can be worked out by the community itself and don't always need a staffer to chime in. It is one of the reasons the rules forums exists.

For Jiggy: I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOUR FAVORITE PIZZA IS! and yes, I had to all-caps that. ^_^;;

Back on track: for Jason Bulmahn:

1) Pirate or Ninja

2) Rock, Paper, or Scissors?

3) Have you ever played Ninja-Cowboy-Bear (also known as the full-body version of rock-paper-scissors)?

4) What is your list of top 5 favorite video games (on any platform)?

5) What is your favorite kind of music?

6) What is your top 5 favorite songs, bands, and/or composers?

Okay, a question for you, as the one responsible for Summoners and thus by extension all praise and jeers and ulcers. :D

As many monsters can be advanced by class levels, I tend to see the Alchemist used most out of the Base classes. Have you thrown any truly out-there summoners at a group, and if so, please elucidate.

For what it's worth, in one of my campaigns, there's a rather runty gold dragon summoner who has yet to reveal what her eidolon is, mostly 'cause I have an idea and am trying to make it work mechanically.

While the CL sometimes matches Hit Dice, it is often made to ensure that the caster level is high enough to cast the highest level spells it has access to. Other times it is done ad hoc to balance the monster.

1. Ninja

2. Rock, good old rock, never lose with rock.
3. Ummm.. no
4. Hmmm... Mass Effect, Castlevania, Legend of Zelda, Shadow of the Colossus, Golden Axe (in no particular order)
5. Industrial, classical, soundtracks
6. Bands/composers - NIN, Two Steps from Hell, Basil Poledouris, Linkin Park, Rammstein

How does one get a start in a business like Paizo?

I really ask because I used to be in sales and loved it very much. I'm also an avid gamer, consoles, board games, tabletops, anything really. So getting into sales for something that I love as much as gaming would be my dream job.

Also what are your top 5 favorite houserules. Whether you yourself used them or simply have heard about it from the forum.

What was the reason why all of the gunslinger deeds are under the title 'deeds' on the class table?
