It's on page 28 of the latest Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. You can give one copy of each legally obtained Tales chronicle to each of your characters.
Pathfinder Tales Novels
As a way of encouraging Pathfinder Society players to learn more about the Pathfinder Campaign Setting, characters may receive a Chronicle sheet for select Pathfinder Tales novels. To receive a Chronicle sheet for such a book, the player should print a copy of the Chronicle sheet, available on the Additional Resources list at paizo.com/pathfindersociety/resources and bring it along with a copy of the associated novel to a Pathfinder Society event. Before or after the game session, simply show the Game Master your copy of the book (either a physical copy or a name-watermarked digital ePub or PDF) to gain a signature on your Chronicle sheet. You may apply copies of this Chronicle sheet to any of your player characters. Once you have a signed Chronicle sheet, it serves as proof of purchase, and you no longer need to bring a copy of the book with you as you would an Additional Resource.

No, no, there's a FAQ on this. You can make multiple copies and assign them to all your characters.
"For Pathfinder Tales boons, a Chronicle sheet from each novel may be assigned to each character that player has."
Edit: Or just read what Cap'n Simons says! ;)

As long as you own a copy and can present it at a table for the Chronicle sheet to get signed, it's good. I bought one at a discount and got another for free at a con, both are valid because they're both mine. Now if you borrowed it from a library, I'd say it was a no go, and it'd be obvious with the stickers on the spine. And possibly that god-awful cellophane cover protector...

I can apply one chronicle from a PF tales book to several of my characters?
That´s cool, didn´t know that myself and i´m surprised by that.
Just to clarify, each character would need their own copy of the boon, but you only need one copy of the book.
So if you have 5 different Tales novels and 5 different characters, each of the 5 characters could have their own copies all 5 Tales chronicles.

Yeah i like writing into my PDF files^^
That´s the point where it always becomes more interesting anyway.TheeGravedigger |
Are any of the tales boons actually worth using though?
When I last looked through them, I didn't think that they were.
Edit : That came off more negatively than I intended.
I don't mean that they're worthless, I mean that they're interesting flavors, but unless you enjoy reading the books, I wouldn't buy the books for the boons.

This. They are a potentially interesting bonus if you bought the book to enjoy it, but probably not a reason to buy the books if you don't enjoy them.
That said, so far my experience with the books has been positive. :D

I still believe that boons should be awarded only for character participation in Pathfinder game activities; and that they should only apply to the specific character that was played. The enjoyment derived from books should be its own reward, and should not be used as an encouragement for book sales. Similarly, rerolls for purchasing shirts should be barred. I think that this marketing tactic is a poor choice from an ethical standpoint, though it probably is an effective marketing ploy. I recently attended a convention at which I was awarded a book boon. I will be keeping that particular boon as a souvenir of a very enjoyable and well-run convention, but will not apply that particular boon to any of my characters. Additionally, the use of boons/rewards/ tie-ins is a slippery slope. What could be next- boons for purchasing Barbie dolls?

The whole idea is to get people who may not have otherwise read Pathfinder Tales to give them a try, not to give a significant boost to your PFS character.
I agree with nosig, I've enjoyed all of the books I've read (I think I'm on my 7th right now), even the much-maligned or at least divisive Worldwound Gambit. The Dave Gross ones are particularly worth recommending to PFS players since the main character is a Pathfinder Agent himself (apart from feeling that they're among the best anyway).
Plus, I think I play my elf character in a home game better after having read Queen of Thorns and A Plague of Shadows.

+1 - This.
.And I rather liked Worldwound Gambit! (I've read and own a dozen) There are several I didn't much care for... and I have opinions on them all.
