Arista went to the funeral of a co-worker today and we had to see some family that came in from North Dakota, so it's been a little hectic. I'd like to say that I'd get something up tomorrow, but Arista isn't feeling well, so I don't want to make promises I can't keep. I will try though.

My friend's mom, the same one I've been praying for, was diagnosed with VRE yesterday, an antibiotic resistant infection. Normally not fatal but long-lasting, things aren't looking good. Just keeping y'all posted.

Well, didn't get popsicles, but I got sorbet instead. I have an appointment to see my Dr today at 1:30. Hopefully he can help us figure out whats going on with me. Still coughing really bad and having trouble sometimes getting my breath. Stuff is coming up, but I can't get it out.
Well, saw my Dr. Thankfully it's not pneumonia. Just a nasty version of Bronchitis. I got lots of meds, an inhaler, and some more cough drops, for a total of a little over 50 bucks. I just took the first round of antibiotics and other medications. My posting may be a bit sporadic for a while until I get this thing under control.

It's okay, but now I think my Sir Henry is having a bit of difficulty as well. He's starting to have a little tickle in his throat like I did before all this started. Already starting him on some meds to try and head it off at the pass.

And some ginger root with honey and tea.
Everything has been helping quite a bit. I don't have ginger root persey, but I do have ginger tea and have been putting honey and lemon in that and drinking it. It's been helping alot along with the other more western medicine. I hate taking antibiotics though, but I'm not coughing as much and when I do it's much more productive. I hope to continue and mend and will tend to Henry now. Right now its just a dry itchy throat, but that's how mine started, so I'm keeping an eye on him. I have to go back to work tonight, so hopefully they don't run me into the ground and slow my progress. I want to thank everyone for the helpful tips, positive energy, ect. It is much appreciated.
I love antibiotics. Obviously, they aren't candy but every time I've needed them I'm very happy to have them.
The shoulder is coming along nicely. Not like my work gives me much choice. I'm always pulling, pushing, lifting, ect. So, it just has to keep functioning until I find something else. I guess finding out about my co worker passing away had alot more impact on me than I had thought at first. She was a lovely woman. So giving and caring. She was always looking out for everyone else. It was a very bad shock to me. It was last MOnday when she passed of a sudden massive heart attack. Her name was Earline, she was 67 years old, and one of the truest, kindest, most giving souls I have ever known. She worked weekend nights, and we would meet up in the mornings and talk while waiting for our respective rides. Sometimes, if Henry's relief was gonna be late, Earline would have her daughter Nikki give me a ride home since they lived in the neighborhood. When I didn't see her this last week, I thought she had just gone on vacation. On Friday night I was working on one of the ICU floors and one of the techs from her floor found me. We were talking and he just blurted out,"YOu know Ms. Earline passed away right?" I can tell you I was beyond stunned. Anyways, I went to her funeral on Saturday. Her church was across the street from my friends house, so I went over there to get ready for it. He helped me with my hair and makeup, seeing as how I was shaking too much to do it myself.
I went over and said my goodbyes, sat through the service. There were a little over 2 pews filled with the people that knew her and loved her from work alone. The entire place was packed. I'm glad that I got to go, I will miss her horribly, but I know she is in a far better place now. She was due to retire this December. She just got to leave a little early and I know I'll see her again, so it's okay. I felt I had to talk about this because I didn't want anyone worrying about me. It will take time, but life goes on and so shall we all.
OH, about the anitbiotics, it's not that I don't like them really. It's just that I get sick alot and I have to take them quite often. Eventually their effectiveness is bound to wear off and then I'll be in real trouble. There are only a few kinds that I can take, since I have horrible reactions to most of them so it limits what the Dr can put me on. I always try home remedies before seeking actual medical attention. If it's something I can take care of myself, that's my preferred method.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, I know how hard that must be.

So, after one night back in the hellish dimension that some refer to as my place of employment, or "that damned hospital", my illness is back and in full force. It was starting to get better with all the remedies and medications after about 2 days of rest, but being made to run myself into the ground like a dog for some lazy nurses to just sit around on their collective asses not doing anything, has totally set me back in my recovery. I am none too pleased. For a hospital they sure don't seem to cafe much about their employees health or well being. I never really disillusioned myself to think otherwise though. I work for some right bastards.
I called my Dr office a while ago after I woke up coughing and wheezing, not being able to really catch my breath. Since I called so late in the afternoon though he won't be able to see me again until tomorrow morning,which means I will have to go back to that hell beast of a place again tonight and be made to suffer some more. I guess I'm just not beaten down enough for their liking yet. I honestly think they are trying to get me to quit because of how much I've been sick and all the accidents. Their insurance company must see me as a liability. I know that's a bit of a stretch, and maybe just total paranoia on my part, but I can't help how they make me feel.
Well, I wasn't able to go back to work tonight. After working last night, the coughing is almost worse than it was before and I'm having pain in my rib area and my head from all the violent shaking and coughing. I have to go back and see the Dr again, probably gonna have to be put off work long enough to get over this. I don't know....I'm just tired of feeling like crap all the time and getting sick so much.
I've been taking them, but I tried going back to work too soon and over did it. I'm still taking the antibiotic, decongestants, cough syrup with phenagryn, and the pro air inhaler, they just don't seem to be helping as much as before. Sometimes it's hard to tell how my body is going to react to certain things. By Wed I thought I was getting better, but after the first hour of work I could tell that I hadn't given myself quite long enough.
I don't know, I got some crazy mutant body or something. It just doesn't make sense to me sometimes.
Well, it's not pneumonia, but I'm finally starting to cough some of the crud up. Went back to my doctor today and he did blood work and a chest xray, both came back ok. It's just a really bad bacterial infection causing the bronchitis and my airways are like messed up or something. He prescribed even more medicine, some kind of little hormone pill and another inhaler. The new inhaler is Advair, some kind of steroid inhaler. So, I have to take all this stuff and use the new inhaler along with everything else that he's already given me. He also put me off work for the next 3 nights to give my body a chance to get over it. So, I don't have to be back at work till next Wed night. Hopefully by then I'll be over the worse of this ordeal.
Still sick, but I will continue to do my best to keep up with things. It's sometimes hard to tell if I'm getting better or not.
Sorry I keep blabbering on everybody. Speaking of everybody, where is everyone? I'm sorry, I'm stuck at home sick and totally bored outta my mind. I realize that other people have lives, I remember when I used to have one. Everyone will just have to overlook me for a little while. They have me on ALOT of different medicines, and they make me a little loopey.

I would want to be at work too, if it weren't for the fact that it was starting to suck so much, but I don't like being stuck at home either. No big deal guys, like I said, just sick of being sick and stuck at home. No worries.
Sorry for the serious lag time. It's been a rough day today. Neither one of us got very much rest, me with the coughing and hacking, and henry having to work last night and then take me to yet another doctor appointment today, it's just been crazy. He's resting right now, but should be getting up after a while.
He also received some more bad news about his friends mom today. There is nothing else that the hospital can do to treat her and will be moving her down to comfort care tonight. It's been really tough for both of them, but all I can do is be here for him and love him. I just wanted to say thank you again for all the continued prayers, support, positive energies, and well wishes that you have all been so generous with. We deeply appreciate it.

We thank you and we are taking time. This game I think helps him alot, it gives him something else to think about besides all the stuff thats going on. I just love him so much, it's hard for me to see him hurting. We haven't been two separate people for a very long time now. We are very much like one person. We laugh together, cry together, we feel for each other everything. I know he can see this, but I don't care. I know him, and I know that he's worried about me too and trying to act all stoic like, but I can see what a toll it's taking on him.
Just know I love you honey, and as I've said, I will ALWAYS be here for you. NO MATTER WHAT! *kisses*
