After many, many hours of finagling, I got the desktop to run once more. Apparently, some startup files have become unable to be read. So I guess I can't turn it off. So, we'll continue but, if you don't hear from me for a couple of days, then just blame the computer :)

For what its worth, unless the robber knew you personally, studies suggest you are quite unlikely to be robbed again in the near future.
I have a fairly good idea of who it was. I know I probably won't get robbed again soon and definitely not by the same person, unless he wants another hdtv. Still, having to talk to the detective investigating the case makes me feel a little sick. I hate having to relive it and I'm a bit miffed at myself for still feeling like crap almost three weeks after the fact.

Yeah. I was burgled once and moved shortly afterwards. It's a very bad, but also very unique feeling.
Never had the pleasure of being robbed/mugged/burgled, I know a few people (Friends, Family and Acquaintances) who like to borrow things and never return them but that's about it.
