Well I'm still kicking. As far as running something, may I suggest a one-shot heist adventure. This may be inspired by the amount of Leverage my wife has been watching lately.
Loved that show.
I'm currently regretting starting the game I started pre-Christmas. DMing another game is doable. DMing a game of super passive players is more of a burden than I was prepared for.

I'm still here of course, not like he can really get rid of me. LOL Just not been feeling too keen. The holidays and high family drama really took it outta me. I'm still having trouble coming down, not really sleeping or eating that well.
Trying not to be too upset at anyone right now since my thoughts about people when I'm upset, hurting, or angry seem to have dire consequences.
There was a whole lot more to that little rant, but since I can't seem to stop shaking I accidentally erased most of the damn thing. I hate old ass computers that I can't type on. Arrghhghgh
Someone from the neighborhood actually saw the perps and followed them back to their house and proceeded to call the police. I'm not completely sure, but I think they caught the ones that did it, or at least some of them.
It doesn't matter though, cuz my sister is still a wreck and even though she can be a materialistic self absorbed b+&@&, she didn't deserve that. None of them did, I'm just glad they weren't hurt. I'm thinking it had to be someone that knew them or had a personal grudge though, because the house was horribly vandalized and my Niece, the pregnant one who happens to be going out with the star of their football team, all her trophies were smashed to bits. Every one of them. No one else in the house had their personal property destroyed, just hers.
I remember that she told me about this girl at her school that had been threatening her since it was found out that she was actually pregnant with Justice's baby. She is white and Justice is black, and apparently this girl was supposed to at one time be a friend of hers, but she liked Justice, and when he didn't reciprocate, she got pissed off at my niece and started spreading a bunch of rumors and threatening her.
I figured it was just plain old jealousy, but I don't know. Kids in school aren't like they were when I was going to school. She coulda had someone do it for her, I wouldn't put it past someone who threatened to,"punch her in the stomach and kill the little half breed..." is what the girl told her.
She tried to act like it didn't bother her, but I could tell that it did. She wouldn't have told me about it otherwise. After the break in I told my sister everything she told me about the girl and the threats.
Sorry to dump all that on here, but I had to get that off my chest. It's been bugging me for a while now.
The thing is, Brandi is so much like me that it scares the HELL outta me. She keeps talking about confronting this girl away from school, but I'm hoping its the hormones talking. I keep trying to talk to her and explain just how many ways that could go wrong and why she should stay away from her.
She's 17 though and not very rational as most teenagers that age tend to be. Add my temper to those hormones and we have one extremely dangerous time bomb on our hands.
Anyways, that's pretty much why I haven't been around lately. Hopefully, with the new moon being on New Years will mean the beginning of a better year, for all of us. I really need something good to happen, and soon.

Yeah seriously, but it is what it is. The girl thats all pissed off at her is black and so is Justice, but Brandi is white. The girl in question was at one time her friend, then something happened and Brandi cut her off. Then the girl somehow convinced her to give her a second chance, and then this stuff with Justice happened. Brandi has alot of black friends, she just says that she relates to them better because the few white kids that are in her school are either stuck up or racist, as were the ones in the town that they came from.
My niece while not the best decision maker or judge of character, is a unique person who sees people for who they are as opposed to what color they are. I guess some kids, no matter what color they are just aren't that way, and yes, this is highschool we are talking about.
I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, unless they seem like a complete scum bag, or betray my trust.
My sister installed an all new security system, complete with hidden cameras since Brandi tends to be home alone more and my sister was scared s+##less.
Alot of the kids where Brandi goes to school come from bad home environments where there are alot of serious issues going on, so alot of those kids have issues of their own. One thing leads to another, situations escalate, ect ect.
We can't be with her every minute of the day though to ensure that she does the smart or right thing when it comes to the people she hangs with, and to keep her away from the ones that would cause her harm.
Justice has people looking out for her, but she can't have a security detail 24/7. All we can do is take it a day at a time, offer up our prayers and support and hope for the best.
The whole thing just sickens me and makes my heart ache. Everyone wants me to be so positive about the whole thing and her situation, but I tend to be the realist of the family. I can't help but see what I see, and when I look at the two of them I don't see a Happily Ever After scenario. I see heartache and grief, but I can't tell anyone that cuz that would ruin whatever fantasy world they have created for themselves, and honestly I think my sister needs to believe that everything will be okay. So, I don't say anything and just stamp down my feelings about it, but it's like trying to hold back a cracking d!@# (okay, they totally took that the wrong way. As in a dam of water...) with just a finger. It's complicated, I can't really explain it without getting all wordy. I feel I've already gotten pretty wordy as it is.
I'm hoping it all works out the way she thinks it will, but I don't know.
I just hope for the best, for all of them.
My head feels like it wants to explode. Henry is sleeping and I'm trying to keep from waking him up with all my worries. He's gonna get on here and see this anyways, but he knows how bothered I am by all this already.

Anyways, no more ranting. It's time to move forward. I hope everyone is having a nice holiday time.
I think I'm just gonna have to turn off all my feelings for at least a while so I don't go on overload, but I need some kind of outlet. Just sitting here in this house trying to stay warm without running up the heat bill just isn't going to cut it. I'm waiting on Henry to get up, but it's icky outside and I doubt he'd wanna go anywhere.

No, it's not a flaw. It's refreshing to know that there are those that still react that way. It is most definitely NOT a flaw, but an asset. You must have a really great dad to be such a caring person.
I'm more huntress mode right now. Seek and destroy mostly. I've just got way too much bottled up in me and it's gonna be a little while before I can sleep since...well I'm not always sleeping when I'm asleep now am I. Would explain why I'm tired all the time, sleep or no sleep. Too much stuff going on at the moment.
Brandi actually gave me the name of the girl who was threatening her. I can get that girl to tell me anything just about, so it's good that she doesn't know what I can do with just a name. I was in their house on Christmas day with everyone there that belongs in the house, so while there I set my own wards in and around the house so I can feel if someone is there that doesn't belong. Sounds weird, but I've done it before. Everyone has a unique energy pattern that can be traced back to the individual.
I've been exhausted ever since then though. Sorry honey, you probably already figured out that one though. It's why I've been so sick and tired, but until I can be sure the threat is....eliminated, I won't let them down. I may have wings...but they ain't so white and I've rarely had to use them, but I sure am now.
Please excuse the incessant babbling, but I haven't had any sleep since I got up yesterday around 3pm or so. Tooooo much..........
Trust me you now have a group of people in different states wanting to hunt these punks down. Myself included. Setting a ward in your own home is one thing, it's your domain, your energy. Easy to maintain. Doing it in someone else's home is a lot harder and depletes you more unless you leave something of yours there, to tie you to the location.
And she didn't. She's conked out on the couch now.

Henry was wrong, I did leave something there. I know how to tie myself to things. I used some of my own hair to help keep me there. I did it when we were there on the 25th. No one was paying attention to what I did as I walked around the inside and outside of that house. My two nieces are more precious to me than anything. They are my family, my blood, and I will not take risks with their safety.
As far as I know they caught the ones responsible for the actual breakin on Sat night, but I'm not going to take any chances. Especially after what that one girl said. And it's true that it's taking alot out of me, but I'm only going to keep it up for another week or two until other things are in place. Its worth it to me to have the added protection for them. I have my sisters and both of my nieces numbers in case I have to call them.
I'm pretty sure that those responsible will pay for what they did. They have no idea just how much they will have to pay for it. It was funny though, almost as soon as I got off the computer last night a heavy feeling of sleep overcame me. I've now "slept" for over 9 hours, something I haven't done in quite a while.

I have been so tired lately. Yesterday once we got home from work, I fell asleep about 9:30am or so, and didn't wake up until almost 10pm. This morning I'm fixin to go to bed, but I have to be up this afternoon because our friends Grandma passed away and we have to go to the funeral this afternoon.
Hope everyone is having a good week and look forward to seeing everyone in game play after the 4th.

So sorry for you, Skaar. I'm eagerly waiting for the temperatures to plunge. We haven't had a winter like this since I was a kid. It's great!

Walking in it is a very different experience from driving in it.
It is horrible, boiler stopped working because it was so cold the oil turned to sludge and the pipes froze. On the coldest day in the last 10 years I had no heat from 10:30 pm to 1:30 pm the following day, then shoveled snow had 2 hours of sleep then went to work.
Wow. I'm just hoping we don't get snow this winter like we did last Christmas when my mother had to stay with us for a week because her power went out -_-
