But science has only been good for expanding our understanding of the universe, working miracles, vastly improving human life, and replacing mystery with knowledge. Bunch of crap, all that. I want to have crapped my innards out and dropped dead at fifteen from something I got off untreated water, dammit! It's suppressing my human spirit!
You have to ask yourself: is a longer, healthier, happier, less ignorant life really what you want for your loved ones? If you really care about them, the answer is clear.
