Alas, I am away at a work conference, and I did not get to finish editing the meat-that-screams bit, but I'll have it available soon.

In the meantime, we have hit PRINT and unlocked MINIS! We are so close to unleashing that MIDGARD adventure from 2012 RPG Superstar Mike Welham and Dawson Kriska. Let's make it happen!

Well, it might be too late, but maybe you could upload the Table of Content on the Kickstarter page. If people know about the content, they might back you up a little more, right?

Oh, whoops, my bad XD

You have no idea how bad I want to see this happen...With my modern equipment homebrew stuff, this, and the vampire/dhampir book I could totally make an Underworld game.

Contributor

Well, the dhampir book didn't make in this kickstarter, but it won't be forgotten. We'll save that for another day. So, there's two other kickstarters on the drawing board, but this one will be heading to editing before I start another one.

Thanks to everyone who made this one happen!

Congratulations to Christina, Dawson, and the Misfits.
Funding successful at an aesthetically symmetrical $9119, hitting some great stretch goals along the way.

Gratz!

Really looking forward to this. Wish I could have contributed more.

Contributor

Kcinlive, we appreciate your help, no matter what level! In fact, thank you all for the confidence you've show in this project. I am very happy about what the contributed funds have allowed us to plan for this book.

Please note that it's going to take a few days to get everything in gear, but we are raring to go. For those of you who've signed up for the Misfit Studios pdfs, I plan to have Steven Trustrum send those out next week. Note that we are planning on updating our setting to Pathfinder rules, and all the great aspects that opens up to us. So, whet your appetite with what is there, and know that we are relaunching SpirosBlaak so you can more successfully utilize it in your Pathfinder campaigns.

Btw, I asked Chris Pramas if we could add some lycanthrope pieces about Freeport and the surrounding area, and Green Ronin is in. Talk about getting some great 3PPs in on this book! I'm psyched! I'll be getting out a template to those 3PPs by the end of the month.

Thanks again, guys!

Don't forget to cue us in for the release date ^_^

Contributor

I've forwarded the emails to Steven Trustrum of Misfit Studios for those who signed up at $20+ for SpirosBlaak and Spellweaver. Those should be out by Monday.

I'll post notes about our progress as we work on the book--which we are starting today.

Sovereign Court Contributor

Got Spellweaver just now.

I am thinking (since I can't lurk on the forums a lot this month - looking for a new apartment) - that I'd toss together an essay/discussion of RW weretigers for all the Misfits. The India/Chinese/SE Asian/Indonesian stuff...
Not necessarily for content, mostly just because I enjoy the subject and have yet to see something flavourful that distinguishes them from the werewolves other than by alignment and shapes. So I feel soapboxy.

Contributor

That would be wonderful, Jeff! Please do so!

Sovereign Court Contributor

Ok Christina, I posted an outline of the main traditions I've researched at the Misfit forums. I figured I can do some in depth follow up if people have questions or a particular curiosity about one or another detail.

Contributor

That sounds good. I will check the forums in the morning. Thanks!

Work is starting this coming week! We've already gotten in a bit of things, but the main designers are starting to kick it into gear. Robert Hudson, known for Hero System work, joins us on some were creation. The wonderful Marc Radle has forwarded some artwork that is awesome! And Dave Gross is currently researching the SpirosBlaak setting for his story.

I'll be sending out the information template to our other 3PP friends later this month, so we can start getting that fleshed out. Thanks again to all those 3PPs who joined us on this project!

Sadly I could not get the money to actually help the kickstarter for this.. but as a fan of all involved.. i can't wait.

I also am very happy to hear about the updated SpirosBlaak ever since the mention in the Journeys To The West book for Midgard.

That means I have to get writing!

Contributor

Yep, I will be sending out what I need from the 3PPs very soon. Thanks!

Contributor

A file of weres went out to the feedback-level backers. I am sending out the publisher template on Thurs. I think I have everything covered on what we want to know about weres in other campaigns, but post here if you have certain things you would want to know.

Contributor

The publisher were template went out this morning. If I missed any publishers I previously talked to, please let me know. There's still time for other publishers with a setting and were inhabitants to sign up.

As for an update, we are gathering feats, considering what related races we want to add to the book (yes, skinwalker was already on our list, seeing how they are so popular in urban fantasy fiction these days and my friend Faith Hunter writes a series based on one). Also, Mike Welham is spinning up racial traits and feats like the ARG for the races.

I'm certain the book will end up longer than 96 pages I initially planned for. There's A LOT of material to cover.

Alright, keep us posted on that ^_^

Contributor

3 miniatures of the 5 have been cast so far. Ben MCFarland has written a wereblooded piece that should be available to backers and for sale next week. Skindancers by Robert Hudson is in editing. An advanced wererats from Mike Welham is in editing.

Are the skindancers based on the ones in Wayfinder #7, something new/else, or a renamed skinwalkers?

They're 'new/else,' Ambrosia Slaad. The Wayfinder #7 race is a cool idea, but went in a different direction that I did, and I can claim no knowledge of what Paizo's doing with their skinwalkers, so any resemblance there will be completely coincidental.

I went for more of a call-back to the original Navajo legends to come up with my core idea, and then adapted elements of the natural lycanthrope PC race system developed for Bite Me! for the mechanics.

Contributor

Forgot to mention that we have an advanced weresharks from Jeff Lee, as well. Advanced werewolves by Robert Hudson is almost finished. The weremantis should be in my hands soon.

Just started reading my copy and I'm excited! Thanks all for all the hard work :)

Is it March yet?

Contributor

Lol! No, but we have plenty more in store for our backers and those interested in the topic while they await the book! No reason you should have to wait for the final product to reap the benefits. :)

Excellent. Glad you enjoyed it!

-Ben.

I'll buy it for sure. Just make sure you have it on Paizo, ok?

Contributor

It takes a little longer to get on Paizo, but the pdf is here now.

So, is this book going to be available for sale (upon completion), or was this a once-in-a-lifetime chance that I missed cuz I wasn't online at all then?

(fwiw, I'll be snaggin' that wereblooded pdf as soon as I can charge up my card...)

Contributor

This will be for sale as a book, yes. That's my plan. The backers just get a lot of things for their support. And this is coming along nicely.

Contributor

playing Lycanthropes is the next release, followed by werewolves and wererats.

Playing Lycanthropes is in layout. Yes, it's been a long time in the coming. Health issues got in the way, but things are better now, and the project is moving ahead.

Contributor

Bite Me! Skindancers by Robert H. Hudson, Jr. has gone to layout.

Contributor

Next up: More Wereblooded by Mike Welham and Werewolves by Robert H. Hudson, Jr.

Contributor

I sent the backers a proof of [I]Bite Me! Playing Lycanthropes[/url]. The PDF should go up next week for sale.

Christina - did you get my note about the spelling of my name on the cover?

Contributor

I did, Jeff. The layout guy is taking care, of it. Thanks for bringing to my attention.

Contributor

After a LONG time, I've finally gotten this book on track to be printed. It is in layout now. The project has already released several PDFs in the Bite Me! line:

Playing Lycanthropes
Wereblooded
Skindancers
Archetypes
Meat-That-Screams
Weremantises
