I know I enjoy reading the exploits of other GM's campaigns and seeing how they did things differently in this very sandboxy AP. I have been reading through all the Kingmaker games on Obsidian Portal and I noticed a LOT of chaff and only a little wheat out there. By this I mean there are alot of campaign sites that are empty shells to wade through to find the really developed long running games. My favorites are one with a completely different flavor, like evil or Viking lands.

To make things easier for new Kingmaker GMs who might like a little peek at others take on things, I thought it would be helpful to make a thread and have everyone post their online campaign websites. Plus that way I get the fun of reading everyone elses. :)

Is mine on Epic Words.

We've only done one session so far, and there's been very little player postings. I hope that will improve someday.

This is my game. My game has diverged pretty hard since book 2? As the blurb says, right now Armag has survived and has a gigantic horde. This is the start of our book 5.

GM Brainstorming

About a third through RRR.

Don't have an external thing viewable to everyone; we have a forum, but the KM section is blocked off to unregistered visitors (and registered ones who aren't part of the game - I have one or two players in PbPs on the site who would potentially throw a fit for not being invited into a game, despite their schedules not synching well with the group's).

Conquerors Legacy

Just started RRR and really enjoying it. The PCs have just completed their first year of building - it's not been easy for them..

Check out the adventure log for a blow-by-blow account of the events, including hexploration.

Tales from the Stolen Lands

That's my online site for my group - the folks like it a lot and enjoy all the info there. I just wish more of them were interested in writing journal entries form their character's perspectives, so that we could have a documented tale of what happened when its all done. But then again, it's their game as much as mine, and we've all got lives to lead outside the gaming table.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

-Also, I a giant, big, superdooper thank you to everyone on these boards for sharing your ideas, thoughts, suggestions, and additional content -- my Kingmaker game wouldn't be the same without all the hard work the community here has put in, and so graciously shared.

==> Path of Kings We're eight play sessions into the campaign, I think.

Note the wiki entries on Kingdom Building & Mass Combat, rules which are derived from multiple sources, changed and adapted to fit the campaign ^^

A quick overview of some elements:

* Instead of building points there are resource, food, and bullion points. The nature of production depends on the type of hexes, the amount on the size of the population center.

* The kingdom consists of two 'levels': its base are the Domains (effectively a settlement with some hexes), ruled by Domain Lords (which gives all players a chance to govern) and the main 'unit' that produces, consumes, and builds. Its superstructure is the Realm, which is governed by the ruler and which creates military units and oversees the Domains.

* Domains & the Realm have six ability scores (Power, Efficiency, Economy, Politics, Prestige and Authority), reflecting those of their leaders. Checks are made on the basis of these abilities.

* Mass combat units are designed as simple creatures with HD, abilities, etc. As a rule of thumb, the CR of a mass combat unit is equal to its HD minus 3. This enables individual PCs to interact with these units on the battlefield using normal combat rules, or the PCs can choose to lead a mass combat unit, granting it specific bonuses. This also creates the feel of epic or mythic play at higher levels as players will be still challenged by low-level enemies, but as whole armies instead of individual creatures...

Of course, we're still play-testing these rules throughout the campaign.

Kingmaker in Eberron.

My group is still on Book 1, about six sessions in having recently dealt with the Mites and Sootscales and just hitting level 3. They're close to the end of the Book aside from exploration and the big bad.

Please feel free to take a look. Questions and criticism are always welcome and appreciated.

After months of delay, we finally had our first session last night. I'm very excited, and it went quite well.

We have an Obsidian Portal page here:
Stealing the Stolen Lands

I hope to make it very detailed. It already has a goodly amount of information.

Enjoy!

Sorry to necro an old thread, but you can read about our Kingmaker campaign on Obsidian Portal. We have a whopping 8 players, and we're using the D&D Next playtest materials for the mechanical side of the game (read: beau-coup de conversion), but it's been a blast so far. We're about halfway through Stolen Land, and in a session or two I imagine the party will be assaulting the Stag Lord's fort. Since we only get to play once bi-weekly, much of the intimate roleplaying is done on the portal forum--which, unfortunately, I don't believe can be viewed by unregistered users. I've stolen liberally from these forums (thanks to all, by the way!), and I hope you enjoy our adventures as much as we have.

Here's my campaign. EpicWorld's Prozor Maker

The kingdom of my kingmaker campaign is called Prozor -Prozor means "Window" in croatian, since while describing Nettle's Crossing, I mentioned a window and somehow omitted the rest of the ruined house; thus my players declared to see a floating window...

The campaign main languaje is Spanish, but strongly lean in English, has a healthy collection of NPCs (from the AP and homebrew) and quite a few local traditions documented in the wiki.

For example, one of the national holidays is "The day of the biscuits (El día del Bizcocho)", where every prozonian remembers the first months of citybuilding when they fed solely in (increasingly stale) biscuits.

Thought I'd post our Obsidian Portal link as we started Kingmaker this week. We're not going with Pathfinder rules though as my group prefer the Savage Worlds system. I've done a bit of conversion here or there, like introducing the Pathfinder Classes, and I've converted the Kingdom Building rules (will be adding these closer to us starting Book 2) but I'm not going to convert literally everything over - just enough to get a Pathfinder feel to the campaign.

I've also changed some NPC names to make them easier to remember for my group to avoid the I talk to whatshisname problem.

Hope you enjoy having a read.

That is a cool idea - I'm going to be swapping away from running PF after

this KM AP - & SW is going to be the next game I run. :)

I raise this thread.... FROM THE DEAD!

My site is pretty well developed. I've stolen liberally from just about every source I can find, lololol, including you Redcelt. I want to thank everyone! My players are doing a great job, and you're welcome to visit my site

My Kingmaker Group

The story of my Kingmaker campaign is here. We are currently in the middle of RRR. I want to also say that I have benefited greatly from the resources here, from lists of fey pranks to the 6-player conversions to Dudemeister's Monster Kingdom to the picnic books to ideas on expanding the political elements. This forum is pretty awesome, IMO.

Oh that's funny, I've stolen stuff from you too. Thanks man!

My group is just starting RRR. I've decided to up the ante a bit on this one, and incorporating the Mythic Adventures ruleset, using the death of the Stag Lord as the moment of their Ascension, and heralded in with a brief appearance by Norns.

Tried using Obsidian Portal, and really not happy with it. Trying to find another site I like, and will post the link once I have it up and running.

Thanks for all of the forum posts, including this thread, it was an incredible help as a DM to get much needed inspiration!

My Kingmaker Wiki

We're nearing the end of RRR. I'm planning on using Dudemeister's Hargulka's kingdom very shortly.

The PC images are made using Heromachine 3 Alpha, which you can find here.

I don't keep the maps updated as much as I should, but if anyone would like to take a look here is our kingmaker google site: https://sites.google.com/site/kingmakercampaignkm/

I linkified that URL for you.

Also, I love the ways that you (and the players, and the Burning Wheel system) have modified the setting for your game, and the directions it has evolved. The changes to the Rostland/Brevoy backstory, Erastil, how the cursed bear became such a huge thing, the way that the honourific "Sword-Lord" took on a life of its own and grew all that lore, and how it's driven Lady Zora so consistently (one might almost say relentlessly :)...

I was interested that you wrote out the Sootscale Kobolds (which as-written are set up to be sympathetic, not just ambulatory XP for murder-hobos, and many groups playing KM end up allying with them), but then added orc raiders which (at the end of season 1, at least) are pretty much straight antagonists.

If you haven't already, you might want to check out Dudemeister's Hargulka's Monster Kingdom, which I think could make a fascinating addition to your version of the Stolen Lands. They wouldn't have to be trolls... given that you've already introduced orc raiders, you could potentially build on that. A proactive growing non-human civilization sharing the Greenlands with the refugees from Rostland... could they be allies against the Brevosi? Can they be trusted? Can the humans?

http://kingmaker.frozenstar.net/ is best viewed in Chrome these days, as it was made in a far older version of IE, and I haven't had reason to update it.

Those the site only deals with sessions up to the Varnhold Vanishing, the game was actually completed (just got too busy to keep updating it). I'm particularly proud of the Run Logs, Encyclopedia and Maps sections.

Thank you for the kind words, Rob.

Yes, the orc came out of a failed Orienteering roll but they could have been talked to. I feel like the demi-humans might be monstrous but all can be talked to.

I love trolls but have already put trolls in the neighboring swampish area to the east.

But thank you for the kind words and interesting suggestions.

Here's Our Campaign. Catchy title not included. :(

I'm kicking off my 5th foray into Kingmaker soon we make characters tonight I've been looking at you(Redcelt)and DM_aka_Dudemeister's notes and game changes for inspiration and I think this time around is going to be amazing

Now if I can get my players to want to play something besides summoners... sigh
