How does one transition from mortal to godhood in Golarion?

Iomedae did it, right?

They probably have one of the best libraries on technology, but it's not going to be very easy to gain access to. Kellids, Ulfen, Varisians, and Shoanti (who comprise most of the population north of Lake Encarthan) all have strong oral traditions, so they aren't known for making stationary libraries. While some certainly exist, they're not as well known or extensive as those in non-nomadic cultures or which have more of a tradition of written histories than oral ones.

Gotcha. Great responses, Mark. Thank you for the thoughtful answers.

I'm running a Kingmaker campaign using Burning Wheel and while it is far from by-the-book it is fun to hear how Orthodox Golarion looks so I can riff off of that.

Thanks again!

Ultimately, most libraries we've named, and especially ones we've based adventures around/in, would qualify as very robust collections. The library in Jorgenfist is an excellent example of a library on a specific, esoteric topic but that might not be the best place to go research the lineage of a prominent Taldan noble house. In the end, most libraries provide very similar mechanical bonuses on Knowledge skill checks. See more on specific libraries and research in Ultimate Intrigue; Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Intrigue includes a section on specific libraries in the Inner Sea region for use with the same subsystem.

Interesting! Thanks, I just got that book in the Humble Bundle, I'll look that up.

Great answers. Thanks, folks!

Where do you think is the most amazing library in all of Golarion?

Thank you for the kind words, Rob.

Yes, the orc came out of a failed Orienteering roll but they could have been talked to. I feel like the demi-humans might be monstrous but all can be talked to.

I love trolls but have already put trolls in the neighboring swampish area to the east.

But thank you for the kind words and interesting suggestions.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

If you want to run the Adventure Path as written and hit all of the beats proposed in the module, Mythic Evil Lincoln is absolutely right.

However, if the players read the free player's guide on the AP and make their beliefs about the AP's situation, it can be fun to use Adventure Paths as a starting inspiration point.

But I'd be prepared for the game to go in surprising directions that might very well be off the path and off the map. I am running Kingmaker and I'm not spending any energy directing my players back into the AP. I'm challenging their beliefs and going wherever the dice might fall.

I've been running Kingmaker using BW for a little over a year now.

i've altered the module quite a bit.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Here are links to the first batch of AP threads for a Kingmaker-inspired campaign we are playing using Burning Wheel:

Seelah facing off against the Iconic Antipaladin would make for a cool short story.

Is there a module where one could snag her stats?
