Exciting New Rewards!

In celebration of reaching $200,000, Goblinworks and Paizo are pleased to announce some major additions to the Kickstarter rewards for Pathfinder Online! It's a lot more than we can talk about in a simple backer update, so pay a visit to the project page to check out the new goodies!

Made staying up that extra hour worth it! Now that we have a book and minis backing PFO, the kickstarter is going to explode!

Liberty's Edge

I see Emerald Spire on the map, so surely we'd be able to go there in game. Good.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I am really impressed with the update. People wanted Physical goods and they got them. I just hope that I get more than one set of Minis at the Crowdforger Guild level so I can share them with my company.

Goblin Squad Member

We kind of need to know ASAP what happens to our slots in the early enrolement if we adjust our pledges to account for this new information.

Is our slot based on the date of our first pledge, or our last pledge?

CEO, Goblinworks

@Summersnow - last pledge.

Goblin Squad Member

Heck, the flip mats alone are nearly worth the price of the printed add-on by itself. 6 maps, $13 bucks a piece... so $78. Normally by the time you factor in S&H you'd be close to the $100 bucks anyway. Not perfect, but close... and that's BEFORE you consider the book (which by itself would be worth a good chunk), and the cards... and yeah.

Looks like I'm going hunting for some extra hours at work, heh.

Goblin Squad Member

@Ryan- Will I need to add 15$ for international shipping as an Alaskan. I know we are part of the same nation but a lot of businesses count Alaska and Hawaii as international.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

Andius, you don't need to add the $15. Same deal for APO/FPO addresses—the USPS uses domestic rates.

So glad I am a Crowdforger Pioneer!

CEO, Goblinworks

@Summersnow - I stand corrected. First pledge. :)

I'm very glad to hear this. That way no one has to hold back if they feel like bumping up their pledges for fear of losing their place in line.

Goblin Squad Member

Uped to 275 for two accounts and the perks. That is on top of the two accounts I'm getting from GL's guild package. Go PFO!

Goblin Squad Member

Alright... I need to know if these minis are exclusive to this kickstarter, or are they part of a future set?

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Edit: Figured out my first question

Will multiple pack pledges get multiple minis?

CEO, Goblinworks

@Curmudgeonly - I'm 90% sure they're exclusive to the KS but I'll verify that tomorrow to make certain.

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

One of the two minis currently revealed is a repaint from Rise of the Runelords; the other is a repaint from Shattered Star. What the future holds is still undetermined.

The minis offered in the Kickstarter will be exclusive to the Kickstarter for an indeterminate period of time.

Goblin Squad Member

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Would it be possible to have a level of pledging that is disconnected to the PFO game?

I would happily pay to get the hardcopy, PDF, flip mats and PF battles minis - but I don't think there is currently a way to do so without also pledging at the $100 level (Crowdforger Pioneer).

I want to support the project indirectly, and will happily pay for the mega dungeon, flip mat and minis - but I'm not overly interested in committing to the PFO game itself at this point in time. I'd prefer to wait for release and pay retail then.

I know that I could pledge at $5 and then add $100+15 shipping for the physical book, flip mat and cards - but that doesn't explicitly get me the PDFs and I lose out on the minis as well.

Is the game-less pledge something that GW is considering?

Lastly - I'd strongly beg for a means of bumping the pledge in order to get multiples of the minis. I'd go for at least 4 of the goblin raiders plus a couple of the elementals.

I have verified that our backer reports give the timestamp of your original pledge, even if you adjust your pledge later. (I can't guarantee that holds true if you reduce your pledge to $0 and then increase it, though.)

I'm in Canada is there any charge to get the minis or book i I add it on?

Also will multiple pack pledges get multiple minis?

If you do the $100 Print Pack, you'll need to add $15 for shipping outside the US; that doesn't apply to the other reward levels.

Levels that provide multiple copies of the game provide multiple copies of the other rewards as well.

I am interested in the super dungeon book alone. How do I go about getting one?

Goblin Squad Member

First, you read the kickstarter and it tells you.

Then you make the required pledge.

+1.

Is there a way to get the print pack plus PDFs without the mmo?

Goblin Squad Member

Thanael wrote:

There are two possible answers:

1. No

2. A Long while after the kickstarter is funded.

The kickstarter must be funded to get the pdf's created.

Goblin Squad Member

A dungeon level by Lisa Stevens? I suppose it will contain undead dire wookies :).

Great value all around, I hope this kickstarter will create a Dungeon of legends and, at the same time, bring many die hard P&P players into the fold to see and try a little sandbox MMO!

Dark Archive

Yep you guys got me backing now :/

Goblin Squad Member

Good going; you're steadily converting a mmorpg player to a piqued interest in Pathfinder. ;)

Goblin Squad Member

so.. did i get this correctly?

the Kickstarter aims for 1M, or nothing happens.
1M is eight 100k$ increments above today, meaning the 100$ gives
9 (or more) minis
12 (or more) levels superdungeon

in addition to the game itself, early enrollment, 3 extra months sub (4 is 3 more than the 1st included month), novel, soundtrack and in-game goodies. The added value from 35$ to 100$ has gone way up.

I assume the "32-page pdf sourcebook" is included in the emerald spire superdungeon. The pledge awards need to be updated anyway with all this new goodiness.

ps: Ryan at work writing posts at 6AM euro time? Do the time zones work backwards today?

pps: please make more of the minis goblins. Preferably enough to challenge a high-level party.

It's only 2am here, Ryan has been known to post in the after midnight hours.

So.. can I pledge $5 dollars and then add $115 for a RPG print pack add on ?
If the answer is yes, you just managed to make me interested :o

Goblin Squad Member

You guys keep on adding stuff and I'll end up giving you my hard earned cash. I cannot say no to hard copies of cool stuff!

Goblin Squad Member

Namtarou - I am 99% percent sure you can :)

Sovereign Court Goblin Squad Member

Well played, Goblinworks, well played.

Goblin Squad Member

I just went from not planning on contributing to this Kickstarter at all to pledging $275 (after clearing it with the soon-to-be Mrs. Johansen, that is). Good thing the project doesn't fund until a couple days after my payday, heh.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Thank you so much Goblinworks... awesome addition to the Kickstarter. For those considering pledging $5 plus the $100, why not pledge $35 plus the $100 to get the game as well for only $30... i mean really... whats $30 8)

Goblin Squad Member

This is really great stuff. I'm going to have to bump my pledge from $175 to $275.

I hope we can, but my wallet hopes we can't :)

Either way, it would be nice to know for sure. I'm assuming we can, though.

If there's going to be a Mac version, I'm so there.

Cheers!

Cool! Problem solved! The crowd cheers. Medals are handed out. Cue John Williams closing music :)

I look forward to seeing how quick we reach 1 mil now and what happens after that!

Goblin Squad Member

Well done! Now, I just need to figure out where I can squeeze another 100 out of the budget.

What's $30 ? 2 Pathfinder Campaign Setting Books.

And as much as I like MMOs and as much as this one seems good, I don't really have enough free time to play one.

It appears so, on Kickstarter Comments:

For the print products, is it $100 added to any pledge level? For example, can I add $100 to the $5 Watcher level and get all the print products? That is how I read it but I wanted to make sure.

Creator Goblinworks Inc. about 10 hours ago
@Mike M - we wrestled with this question and decided the answer is "yes".

You must have posted as Ryan was finally getting some "shut-eye". Though an official answer might be available later.

I love Pathfinder as a roleplaying game, but I not interested at all in MMOs - so 35$ might be cheap for a computergame, but I would rather invest it in some books or miniatures that i will actually use. Buying the program for me is as useful as dumping the 35$.I am really glad that I can get the Megadungeon as a book - so I am backing with 5$ + 115$ for the book and postage. Thanks, Paizo!

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks for suckering me out of ANOTHER $100, Goblinworks. =P

Goblin Squad Member

Any chance we can contribute more to get extra sets of the mini's?

You can never have enuff goblins you know !

Added $100 at the Crowdforger Pioneer level for the print products :)

Me too

Liberty's Edge Goblin Squad Member

So just like the last Kickstarter I still have no interest in the MMO, but once again you drag me into your kickstarter by offering an incentive I can't live without! ;) Stop that!!!!

So one thing I was a bit disappointed about with the last kickstarter was that backers did not get initial exclusive access to the Print version of the incentive product and we have to wait for the product to be released to the general public. Will that be the same for this?

Will it be released to the General Public?

I am assuming just like any Module it will be PFS Authorized?

So far it seems that if you are buying a buddy pack or guild pack you will get enough for everyone. Not sure about an extra add on for doubling up.

I imagine it will be, but we need to check a few things before we say for sure.
