Just a question before I make the alias for Narsius : is there a family name you would advise me to use ? (like an interesting NPC, etc)

Definitely still interested.

I'll make an alias if accepted.
This is Narsius, a human magus.

Background:
Narsius' family comes from Cassomir. Since his parents died in a plague a dozen years ago, he has lived with his grands parents in Heldren, far from the degenerate self called high society of the big cities. His grand father, a Galtan alchemist, taught him what he knew about magic and philosophy while his grand mother taught him how to wield a blade. He often thinks, there are worse ways to spend a childhood.
Actually, Narsius is 20 years old. He often dreams of travelling, of going in the North to see its splendors, to visit Whitethrone and the fierce winter witches who rules there but he fears what his family will become without him. His grand parents are now old and the young man has started to work at the Silver Stoat to help his family, using his cantrips, his skill at persuading others and his grand mother's old but still sharp cutlass to work as a bouncer.
He's good looking but his stern demeanour has left him single and at times he fears he'll have to stay alone for his whole life.

Crunch:

Ah well.. I hope I forgot nothing.

Dotting for interest and planning to submit a bard or a magus (with Adaptive magic I think).

I would like to submit Kostin Tesarani, a garuda-blooded inquisitor (cold iron warden) of Desna.
Writing here just some informations, I'll make a full character sheet if he's chosen.

Some crunch:

Str 12, Dex 14+2 racial, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 14+2 racial, Cha 8
Traits : Redeemer, Child of the Crusade
Inquisition : Conversion
Skills : Knowledge (arcana)+5 (+8), Knowledge (planes) +5(+8/10), Knowledge (religion)+5 (+8), Sense motive +8, Intimidation +8, Spellcraft +5 (+7), Perception +7, Diplomacy +7
Racial aptitudes : Darkvision 60 ft, Incorruptible, Celestial crusader

Backstory:

Kostin is the son of a varisian sorcerer serving in the crusade and of one of her celestial allies. His entire life has been spent in the crusade and since his young age, he has been trained to hunt for demon cultists. He's more a redeemer than a fighter.
He sees each cultists he has to kill as a failure and usually prefers to convince them to renounce their heresy. Or at least to try.

I had several ideas to add some details to the character but I guess it's best to wait for the DM to choose his players.

I'm nearly sure there are feats in WoTW for that. 4 or 5 feats to become a full vampire. But I can't manage to find them in my books.

Dotting for interest as a player.

I'd like to submit an Alchemist born in Sandpoint but trained in Orision (Cryptbreaker archetype). Drewan Tesarani should be able to be an asset if the group has to travel in a dungeon (and I'm rather sure there are dungeons in this AP).
(Character sheet is obviously a WIP)

Count me in those interested by the Jade Regent AP.

Thought for the day : As Adalricus and Clearchus are both Ultramarines, if they're both chosen for the campaign, maybe Adalricus could have been asked to keep an eye on a younger and promising (but deluded) brother ?

This is Brother Clearchus from the Ultramarines

Background:
Clearchus was only a new scout in the 10th company when the Tyranids attacked Ultramar. On Macragge, his squad was forced back near the polar fortress and he saw his brothers wiped out in some minor skirmish, staying alive only because a team from the 3rd company managed to find him before the xenos.
The following years were a succession of desperate battles during the cleansing of the planet. Getting rid of the creatures was a victory but Clearchus, now a member of Chaplain Cassius' Tyrannic War Veterans found himself wanting for something more. He wanted to hurt back the beast and spent countless hours trying to learn the best tricks to do that job.
Chance (or was it luck ? or fate ? ) made him meet the inquisitor Van Vuygens who told him about the Ordo Xenos' chamber militant and soon after that, he asked to join the Deathwatch. His captain was happy to accept, hoping such a service would purge a promising warrior from the fires that consumed him.

Clearchus has skin the colour or bronze, golden hair and violet eyes that seem to look straight at the soul. He could be the perfect icon for the Angels of Death, knows it and doesn't care. He wants to kill tyranids but doesn't forget his training. He knows his limitations and usually lets the charge to others, preferring to observe, lure the enemy in a trap and use his boltgun at range.

And one more roll :
Renown: 1d10 ⇒ 8

More rolls :
Wounds: 1d5 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20
Fate points: 1d10 ⇒ 9=> 4 fate points
Power Armour history: 1d10 ⇒ 7

WS: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (8, 7) + 30 = 45
BS: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (8, 7) + 30 = 45
Str: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (2, 1) + 30 = 33
Tou: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (1, 1) + 30 = 32
Agi: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (6, 10) + 30 = 46
Int: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (9, 4) + 30 = 43
Per: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (7, 1) + 30 = 38
Will: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (9, 9) + 30 = 48
Fel: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (8, 8) + 30 = 46

Rerolling toughness : Tou: 2d10 + 30 ⇒ (10, 3) + 30 = 43

Not sure of what I'm going to do with that.. will think of something later this evening.

Rolling for characteristics
2d10 ⇒ (7, 3) = 10
2d10 ⇒ (10, 6) = 16
2d10 ⇒ (10, 4) = 14
2d10 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
2d10 ⇒ (4, 7) = 11
2d10 ⇒ (10, 4) = 14
2d10 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
2d10 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5
2d10 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
Rerolling the 5 :
2d10 ⇒ (10, 1) = 11
Divination
1d100 ⇒ 34 => +1 Wound
Origin : Void born
Fate points: 1d10 ⇒ 5=> 3 FP
Wounds: 1d5 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Career : Adept
Wealth : 110

Definitely interested.

So.. 3 from Agristrad, 5 from Chilling pass, 2 from the Dukedom and 1 each from Zeltos, Hazrit and Nibreltar.

I'll make Sarit from Nibreltar.

Could we have a roster with who plays what and wants to come from where ? I think I could make Sarit from Agristrad (would need to make some changes but that's not a problem)

Sarit is still a work in progress but will be a half orc flavoured aasimar sorcerer.

Make him a member of the Ninth Battalion (Faction Guide) ?

Dot for interest and stat rolls
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 4) = 20-4 = 16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 2) = 17-2 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 4, 6) = 21-4 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6, 3) = 18-3 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 6) = 13-2 = 11
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 6) = 20-3 = 17
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 3, 2) = 14-2 = 12
So...17 ; 17 ; 16 ; 15 ; 15 ; 12

This is Mentys Kaddren.
Background is done (short but to the point :o), crunch is not finished yet, I'd like to see who are the other characters (and if I'm chosen) before giving the last details.

Well.. my new try to join a WotW game.

Name : Mentys Kaddren
Race : Human
Focus : Intelligence : 18 +2 racial
Foible : Strenght
Dexterity: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Constitution: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Wisdom: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Charisma: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Class : Alchemist

Will make a background later today.

Hello there

The title says all.
As you know, next month, Fire Mountain Games should launch the subterranean AP "Throne of Night".
So... twilsemail, Rickmeister and myself are looking for a DM who would like to have us as players and I guess at least one more player.

I know asking for a DM is unconventional but I thought I had nothing to lose ;)

Congratulations.
And now .. to find a DM for the drow campaign... :o

Dotting for interest with the same questions than Talomyr.

20 point buy sounds good to me. And I think I'll play a human gunslinger.

twilsemail wrote:

This thread is certainly my priority. I'll bow out of other games to start from the get-go here. Let me know how you feel about Skaldi and we can work from there.

We're pirates. Warning shots aren't necessary.

For everyone else, if you haven't checked Skaldi's profile. He's a Summoner. What's everyone else feeling at the moment?

I was thinking of a ranger. I'll make a first draft today.

Dotting for interest. Maybe with a paladin or a sorcerer, I'll have to think about that.

Dotting for interest.

I can't help you but if a kind DM steps forward for Skull and Shackles, you can count on me submitting a character, I have wanted to play that AP since it was published.

First silly question about the gameplay thread : 3rd person past tense or 3rd person present tense ?

Same here, my wizard could fit in several themes.

Well.. first try was a sign to play something else, so let's try that :
Str 8, Int 18
Dex : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Con : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Wis : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Cha : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

I'll submit Sumak Tesarani, a halfling cavalier (emissary) for the order of the Paw, adopted by Kaye Tesarani in Sandpoint (details will follow)

Quote:
Stat Generation: Focus/Foible. Choose one score to be an 18, and another to be an 8. Roll 1d10+7 in order for the other four stats.

I'll roll and then think of what I can do with the results.

So : Str 18, Charisma 8 (although I hate dumpstats :o )
Dex : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Con : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Int : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Wis : 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Edit : And now I know why I hate random ability scores... XD

Dotting for interest, looking to create I don't know what yet but it will have an animal companion.

Update done.
O in conjuration
E in the other schools(with E+ in transmutation)
E in every virtue (except Zeal)
X in Gluttony, Envy and Wrath
<blank> in the others

After pondering a bit, I think I'm going to submit Kari, a nice and proud dwarf who learned to wield the blood ember and to ride the sea steed (I fear he didn't learn to handle the sea steed).
I just have to write all that now... XD

Dotted for interest with maybe an Erutaki oracle, I have an idea but will have to think about it.

Quote:

The Grey Acolyte - fragile as he was - realised that it made sense to wear armour. Ideally something concealed and definitely something that didn't affect spellcasting. He approached the problem as an academic one, studied the problem, took an Academic Robe, crafted it out of silk, then alchemically thickened the silk. Additional (metal) protection was then added around the waist and legs where it would not interfere with somatic gestures. Thus was created an armoured robe that looked like a normal academic garment.

As the inventor you can name the resultant armour, and it is a recent enough invention that it is not widely known amongst wizarding circles, and may in fact be a secret if you choose. On the other hand if you can convince the other PCs to wear one, this can eventually become a signature of your group.

Use linen instead of silk and Denat would love the idea.

I nearly forgot :

Quote:
"What schools would work for this character?"

Any school could work. I have a fondness for conjuration but I could play something else if that could help.

About the virtues, after thinking a bit more about it I think I could tie Denat to any virtue/vice, I'd juste have to tweak his personnality a bit.

That's a good idea, thanks Irnk. I confess I find the whole alchemist-spellcaster-craft magic items thing rather confusing.

I think the race points value for Changelins is 7.

Anyway, I just had another idea : not my first choice but if the DM prefers, I could submit an alchemist tied to generosity and greed (main problem is that he won't be able to take Craft wondrous item before 7th level)

If anyone plans to submit an oracle, the modern cultists seem to usually have the bones, flame or lore mysteries.

After reading the player's guide, I would like to propose Pallok Kaddren. He's a travelling alchemist, trained by the crypt breakers, fascinated by magic and curious of the cold magic of the North.

I'm definitely very outrageously interested ;)

Denat Leroung is an infernal binder, freshly out of the Egorian academy. He's a (very) minor scion from the Leroung family and joined the cult only to increase his power. He's not evil (at least, as not evil as you can be when you're raised in Cheliax) but is ruthless and finds Thassilon absolutely fascinating. Maybe his curiosity will be his downfall.. or maybe not.

Not sure if you want to see a character sheet before choosing or what :o .. as I said, I'm a newcomer in the wonderful world of PbP.

*ponders*
*waits*
*sighs*
Oh well.. I guess I'll have to take this first step one day anyway.. I'm interested but that would be my first PbP play here.

Sorry if I shouldn't have asked that here but I have a question about third party publishing :O (and I thought it was maybe a good idea to put all the questions in the same thread)
Can I use content from an adventure path from Paizo which is not Golarion-specific ? (to be more precise, I'm thinking of the various gods from the Dark Tapestry, described in Carrion Crown)
Example : if I wanted to write an adventure set in a personal setting but where Azathoth appears, could I use the portfolio, domains, subdomains, etc as they are ? (just an example)
Thanks by advance.

P.S. : English is a foreign language (I'm French) and, as much as I try, I fear there are still mistakes, I hope you'll forgive them.
