Okay, going to go with Gestalt "Monk/Ninja" who's Neutral Good by using Adopted and Enlightened Warrior

Sunny / Elanesadriel wrote:

Elements not in the PRD must be cleared by me before you may proceed. Because you failed to seek clearance, no Enlightened Warrior.

Wait? What have I linked to then?

PRD = Pathfinder Reference Document = http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/

Okay. Ninja/Fighter who calls themselves a Monk. ;)

As an alternative to the gunslinger/inquizitor, a strix fighter(archer)/druid (Pack Lord) that is bonded to a murder of ravens.

Um...the 'Advanced Race Guide' has some things in the PRD. Is that allowed?

Much cheers to all. (^_^)

I am interested in this campaign and designing a character I want to play. Possibly a magus/cavalier.

Thank you for volunteering to DM Black Fang!

I think this is it? =? Advanced Race Guide

And

Advanced Race Builder

???

Let me expand upon the character creation rules I posted earlier.

Black Fang wrote:
Alignment: Any, but you must still be able to work together. I will modify the AP as needed to suit your characters.

Yes, you can be evil, but if you disrupt play, I will kill your PC and not permit a replacement. Disrupting play is purely subjective on my part.

Black Fang wrote:
Point Buy: 25 points

No real need to explain this further.

Black Fang wrote:
Classes: Any class in the PRD is allowed. All PCs are Gestalt, and once you pair classes that's what you stick with. No multiclassing or prestige classes allowed.

Any class in the Pathfinder Reference Document can be played without question, except for Antipaladin. See "Other" below for additional information.

Black Fang wrote:
Races: Core races are allowed without question. Featured and Uncommon races are allowed with appropriate background explaining yourself.

Any Core race (dwarf, elf, half-elf, half-orc, halfling, and human) can be selected without question.

Any Featured race (aasimar, catfolk, dhampir, drow [not noble], fetchling, goblin, hobgoblin, ifrit, kobold, orc, oread, ratfolk, sylph, tengu, tiefling, undine) can be played, but you must explain why you are who and what you are.
Any Uncommon race (changeling, duergar, gillman [not recommended], grippli, kitsune, merfolk [not recommended], nagaji, samsaran, strix, suli, svirfneblin, vanara, vishkanya, wayang) can be played, but you must provide a relatively detailed background explaining your existence, specifically your presence in the area of the AP.
Half-elves replace their multitalented trait with one of the alternate racial traits.

Black Fang wrote:

Feats: Instead of a feat at every odd level (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc), you get 1 feat at EVERY level.

Every PC will receive a Horrifically Overpowered feat in addition to all others they receive selected by me.

Any feat found in the PRD can be taken so long as you fulfill the prerequisites of the feat, or have some legal way to ignore such prerequisites.

With regards to Horrifically Overpowered Feats, I will select 1 feat for each PC AFTER they have been chosen for the game. Such feats will be selected purely at the whim of the GM.

Black Fang wrote:
Traits: 1 Kingmaker Campaign trait plus 2 others.

Kingmaker Campaign traits are found in the Kingmaker Player's Guide. You get 1.

If you so desire, you can be a "ward" of a noble family by selecting the Adopted trait, and then using that to select the Noble Born trait.
You can select the Bastard or the Noble Born trait if you have the human subtype. Aasimar, changeling, dhampir, fetchling, gillman, ifrit, oread, suli, sylph, tiefling, and undine can select the Bastard trait.
You gain two other traits, but not more than one from a category.

Black Fang wrote:
Starting Wealth: Max gold from both classes.

You get the maximum starting gold from both your classes, meaning a barbarian/bard would start with 360 gp of equipment, and a fighter/ranger would start with 600 gp of equipment.

Black Fang wrote:
Other: If you would like to use something that is not included in the PRD, ask and I'll review and give a yes or no.

Any class, race, feat, trait, item, spell, etc. not found in the Pathfinder Reference Document you must ask me about first. I'm a fan of nearly all Third-Party-Publishers (3PP), so I'm generally willing to allow things, but you must clear things with me first.

This also means that things published by Paizo but NOT found in the PRD must also be cleared by my before use.

Again this is the Pathfinder Reference Document.

The D20PFSRD is NOT the PRD.

Candidates so far:
(Morrin) Andrei Baskov, male half-elf bard (court)/summoner
(fnord72) Jennis Silgerk, elf (maybe) rogue/wizard
(MisterLurch) Korren Blake, half-giant gunslinger/inquisitor or strix druid (pack lord)/fighter (archer)
(Joshua Hirtz) bard (sound striker)/ninja, maybe aasimar
(Lurking Tyranny) dwarf inquisitor/monk (master of many styles, ki mystic) or elf magus (maybe bladebound or kensai)/ninja
(Sunset) fighter/ninja that thinks of itself as a monk
(tomtesserae) cavalier/magus

If you don't see yourself listed above, double check what you've posted and the character creation rules, including the expanded explanations.

Expressed interest:
twilsemail
Deylinarr
Jariath
Ashe

ok, sorry I was using the D20SRD didn't know the other existed, if you google psrd the d20 one is the first result. So I would like to ask permission for the following please :)

Honored Fist of the Society

Savant

I will make changes if these are not ok, thanks.

If traits are all that I need to change, then reactionary, and ear for music will relplace them.

Which is why I included a link to the PRD in my first post in this thread.

Those are cool, but you still have something you ask.

Also, please include a break down of your ability scores.

Opps. Missed the Gestalt linnk. I'm blocked from d20srd at work and can't really check it out at home this week.

I'll withdraw my alias.

Good luck! Kingmaker looks great!

sorry if I'm a little dense here :) do I need to be an Aasimar? or do I need to ask to be middle aged? I am asking :) if no again no prob I can adjust, I really want to be considered. I have heard such good things of the AP and I can post a lot. I work in IT and have tons of down time at work.

scores are.

Str 7, Dex 10, con 12, Int 15, Wis 15, Cha 17

+4 points from str dump, 2 points to con, 7 to int, and wis, 13 to cha.
Middle age adds -1 to all physical, +1 to all mental.

I am dropping honored fist for reactionary anyways since I will never get to spend Ki for an extra attack b/c I don't have flurry :(

Okay so....

Str 10-3(+4 points)-1(age)
Dex 10+0(0 points)-1(age)+2(racial)
Con 10+2(-2 points)-1(age)
Int 10+5(-7 points)+1(age)
Wis 10+5(-7 points)+1(age)+2(racial)
Cha 10+7(-13 points)+1(age)

So, they should be: Str 6, Dex 11, Con 11, Int 16, Wis 18, Cha 18

no sorry, I'm not a Plumkith, just a normal Aasimar.

so its listed at 6, 9, 11, 16, 18, 20.

Lesser age resistance changes it to 7, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20

It happens to the best of us. Those stats look fine. Baelin Orlovsky is added to the candidates list.

I'm torn between choices now. While I really enjoy the concet of a Sound Striker Bard/Ninja Human (Changed from Aasimar) that hails from House Surtova, I also see potential for a small lad that is an up and coming Aldori Swordlord. While many thought he would never make it considering his small build, the boy has shown great determination and grace. A grace that is in no small way thanks to his training with monks in the art of the crane.

Is there a character concept you would prefer of these two Black Fang?

And did Lady Zaldane drop? I did not see her on your consolidated list of potential players.

Either works fine for me. Play the character you want to play, within the guidelines I have set.

Joshua Hirtz wrote:

I've only included those who posted with continued interest since I first posted in thread. She's welcome to post a candidate, but until she does, she's not on either list.

What was the issue with my Ranger/Rogue submission?

Is it that I, as a human, took the noble born trait?

I'm going to use the alias Ynaeve Amryln.

I am using some gear from the other srd site, it's all paizo, please review and let me know if you have any issues with it.

I will have her post up shortly.

@Jariiath: You didn't ask if you could use wrist sheaths. My rules are simple, but firm. I'm fine with wrist sheaths, hell, I've been using them on my characters since UE came out. But, they're not in the PRD, yet, so asking about them should be done. Tough but fair, that's how I'm picking people.

@Jennis: On both Jennis and Yhaeve, I'm seeing only one class. The PCs, and important NPCs, are gestalt. Also, don't you have something you should ask if you'd like to play an Emberkin?

My mistake as I have the actual books I did not spend the time double checking if everything is in the PRD.

May I use Wrist Sheaths?

Yes, wrist sheaths are available for all to use.

And, it's really simple to know what's in the PRD, click the link. It's well organized by book.

I also do not see Sunrods in the SRD, is that one ok as well?

I can swap that out for Torches if need be.

I did see the Masterwork Backpack there though.

Jariiath wrote:

Yes, sunrods are in the PRD. They're HERE, under "Special Substances and Items". Therefore, you can purchase them without asking.

I'd love to tag along for this (love Gestalt)

Character would be a Magus/Witch using Kensai and White Haired Witch respectively. As for race I'd prefer grabbing Samsaran though I'd refluff it a bit to better fit the setting, assuming you're ok with that (fluff would be the daughter of a rusulka and human man of unknown origin).

Short background is that she was found as a little girl on the coast of the Lake of Mists and Veils by the daughter of a disgraced swordlord. He took her in after being urged to do so by his daughter. Now she (the character) wants to repay his kindness over the years by helping him win back his honor by setting the Stolen Lands.

I'll work on it further once I have a little more time.

Just saw this and will start statting up a character.

Bad guys gestalted as well, sounds awesome. I heard the Stag Lord can be a crazy fight nomrally. Wow, so excited for this.

My apologies, I thought I had made mention of it before. Will there be a problem with emberkin?

Also, I haven't posted the new build yet (I do them in word then copy over).

Ynaeve Amryln wrote:

No problem at all, now that you've asked.

Me too.

Also, sorry about misspelling your name.

I like this, except for the lack of a question from you.

However, I'll skip a step because I'm sure everyone is getting tired of me being such a stickler to the rules I set. Yes, you may use the white haired witch archetype.

So, she was kidnapped as a child by just a hair above commoner ranking nobles?

The important ones, yes. ;)

Black Fang, would you be so gracious as to allow the Aldori Sworldlord Archetype from the Inner Sea Primer and the Aldori Dueling Mastery from The Inner World Sea Guide? I know he won't have it at level 1, but I figured I would ask since it is something I want him to work towards.

Yes, and the Aldori Swordlord and Noble Scion prestige classes. You may be wondering how you'll be able to take these if I'm not allowing multiclassing, yes? I'll tell you later. ;)

Oh, you do have my interest peaked now. I'm a bit of a mechanics buff, but I see good things come my way when I try for a bit more flavor too.

No worries, I could just go with Jane or Bob for names, but it's more fun watching people try to remember how to spell oddball names.

I'm finishing up my gear, and not sure that I will have enough for it, but would you allow this? Now or later...

Ah yes, sorry. Keep mixing up PRD and the SRD site in my head, hence the no question.

She was found on the shore of the lake, completely soaked with the cold water and wrapped in her own hair. The bladelord and his daughter did in fact kidnap her, from the character's (don't have a name yet) mother's point of view, but they believe they rescued her from certain death. She herself was so young she doesn't really remember what happened and actually sees the bladelord as her father and his daughter as her sister (her Kensai weapon even is an Aldori dueling sword).

I assume your campaign trait will be Sword Scion, gained through Adopted, yes?

Don't worry about her mother's name, I'll take that lovely little morsel of story and grow it into something fun. ;)

cool, unfortunately I spent all my meager earnings.

Please take a look at my sheet. There is a custom mundane item I would like approval on, it just combines two items into one, no savings in cost or weight. adventurer's sash and spell component pouch.

Let me know if there is a problem with any of the kits as well. Again, just mundane gear grouped by function.
