So we are working on a alternate class for our Machinesmith class and right now we are stuck on names for this class. We are down to these two and we want to hear what Pathfinder fans like better: Genegineer or Fleshweaver? Please let us know your opinions. Thanks!

What do they do? The machinesmith, but for living things?
That is the basic concept, but of course there will have some very unique abilities specialized just for this class.
If the class is magical a Fleshweaver sounds good but if its more alchemical or science based a Genegineer sounds good, maybe make it a archetype?
We talked it over for a LONG time and decided due to the uniqueness of this class, alternative class was the best choice.

"Gengineer" would sound cool, but neither Genegineer or Gengineer LOOK right on paper... Reads too much like Ginger.. You don't want your class subconsciously reading like a racial epithet, regardless of how stupid said epithet is.
Fleshweaver is sufficiently cool. Seriously... the other one my only clash with a small subset of the population, but it's better to avoid such things.

Why would "engineer" be too modern? Knowledge(engineering) is right on the pathfinder skills list. Siege engineers are commonplace.
Anatomechanic has a good ring to it...

Genegineer rings as a very neutral, scientific-oriented class from a sci-fi setting.
Fleshweaver sounds (to me) evil (or just sinful, ymmv) and magic-based.
I gotta agree with this one the most, on top of the fact that Genegineer is just really funky to try and say.
Geneweaver? I like that. Sounds very magical-bio-mediciney.

If you're not using the modern defintion: Where's the engine in genetic engineering?

Genegineer sounds like a guy in a lab coat, tinkering with creatures, adding traits here, altering traits there. When making a new creature, he uses cloning vats or something; it has to grow.
Fleshweaver sounds like a guy who creates creatures by weaving together interesting bits, but has a hard time altering anything once it's actually made. It also sounds much more magical, less science-y.
So it really depends on what you want the class to be. Genegineers might even be a Fleshweaver archetype, or vice versa.
