Been havin' a blast playin' with folks in EVE while we practice working together and learn more about the things the CCP crew built that the GW crew are referencing. The more I play, the more I find myself fiending for the Early Enrollment release of PfO.
I got to say, from what I've heard I was apprehensive, but it's not scary or chaotic or anything of the sort. Quite a great experience, and I hope it helps prepare us for what's to come.

Thanks for that Valcili.
Only one day left on your recruitment application. Are you looking forward to it?
Well let’s see, your application forum said two weeks but could go longer if required, so I am definitely looking forward to an answer in this order of excited anticipation:
1: Accepted: Welcome to the family, we unanimously agreed that you’re a fresh shiny star and feel you’d be a great, exciting, wonderful, awesome, good looking, long awaited asset to the family and we excitedly welcome you with open arms and are overwhelmed by uncontrolled giddiness just imagining your awesomeness.2: Extension: Almost there working out some final determinations, application extended up to 2 weeks
3: Denied: Sorry but no one likes you, your boring, not funny, unattractive and we feel you would be a detriment to the Pax Family. Go back three steps and take a different path.
Lol just kidding, but yeah I am looking forward to finding out if my application is accepted. I am looking forward to interacting with everyone, and developing a back story my PFO main as well as assisting in fleshing out the back story for The Watch (I have already been working on presenting most ideas to Kardiak. )
@Kard Warstein – If your ever on line (E.V.E) stop by and say hi to a couple of my friends there, “Atradies” is one of the characters names, that’s my old one that my friend is using now, they are in a corporation we created called “intergalactic manufacturing syndicate” (IMSYN) for short. You all might be able to team up for a spell and talk some PFO to them try and get them interested in getting it after the EE ends. Just tell em Gary said hi and directed you their direction.

I just wanted to mention that Dak Thundekeg was on The UnNamed Company's Most Wanted list, and it went unnoticed by him or any member of Pax.....
That bounty has been collected and Dak owes me a keg of my Epic Brew!
Btw.... If you are looking to a "good" company to join, Pax is a good bunch! If you are looking for a group of bandits to join.... Ask around, I have little doubt where you will be directed to.
Cheers guys!!

So things seem to be slowing down a bit on our end, how is everyone else doing?
So of all the forums and message boards I like to frequent and can't at work (Thank you Big Brother), I just found out that the paizo website is not on that list!!! There will be nothing to stop us this time!
I'm trying to catch up on all the boards here now, which is a huge feat aparently. I look forward to reading/responding to the community as this long march to release trudges on!

Not unnoticed, merely unheeded, Ser Bandit Lord... ;)

Welcome, Korint. Since you're posting here, I'm guessing you're already a member of Pax. Still, I hope you might find these links useful.
Thanks Nihimon. I was actually wondering about where I could find these lists after I listened to the Gobocast you were apart of. Much appreciated!
And yes I'm a Paxian. Currently in the SWTOR realm, but also a Crowforger.

I know he is off working, first construction job he has had in a long time. Probably brewing that keg on his off time.

Everyone is pretty spot on. I noticed it pretty much immediately but since I have been working seventeen straight days on twelve hour shifts I never responded.
I honestly didn't know there was an event element to the kill board, or we would have participated more. Since I considered the kill board a lark we merely chuckled and moved on :)

Hey all,
I'm Cain and I'm one of the recent Recruits looking to join Pax.
I was searching through the guild listings and spotted you and I have to say I like the idea of an ongoing community designed for the players to help each other out as a group. (I haven't been in many good guilds before.)Since Pax has members already together from other games well, I'm looking forward to it.
I'm planning to make an adventurous gnome sorcerer by the name of Tobindlebden "Tobin" Wimbleton VI, whom I hope to have join The Tinkerton Adventure Co. because well, Advencha! ^-^

I must say, that reading your more in depth response on your recruit application of how you plan to have your character play out was awesome. Very fun idea for a gnome (even though you'll find some in Pax who like Halflings better =P)
For all those lurking out there, we just upgraded our community site which can be found at www.paxgaming.com - Stop by and take a look see, you'll be glad you did (^_^)

Hmm... sounds like a good group. A few little questions (Which were probably answered elsewhere but I didn't read all 500 messages. :p)
1. How well do you deal with parents? I.e. I have a 4 year old and a 3 month old child who can interrupt me at the most random times. Do you guys understand how RL cuts out my game time?
2. Am I going to be forced to join FUTURE (I understand my current alliances don't hurt) groups of PAX in games I play? I.e. when say Destiny launches and say they allow guilds to form do I HAVE to join you guys in the new game too? For instance in Planetside 2 (Which you listed having future plans for) I lone wolf because I don't want to be tied down as I can't stay online long enough to contribute regularly. Or my wife will drag me into some other group like in Guild Wars 2 where we moved servers because of where her friends are.
3. If/When I get my wife in does she have to apply separately or does she just get an auto "wife membership?"
4. I'm pretty sure you do but just to make sure, I don't want to fight pretty much at all. Is that okay? (Mainly because of the fore mentioned interruptions)

Hello there Gozer in answer to your questions
1) Pax from my experience (about a year with them now) is very good with real life and from what I have seen the philosophy of real life comes first is a concept not only uttered but actually followed. There are already many family people in Pax with children of all ages
2) The rule is generally if you are playing a game and are on the same server as a Pax guild they would like you to be a member of the Pax guild or remain unguilded. Though I get the impression (bear in mind I am not an officer) that exceptions can be granted for the right reasons(though it would be exceptional cases).
Having said that there is no need to feel you have to lone wolf, if you can't stay online long no one will mind. Fun and your convenience comes first.
3) Your wife is expected to apply separately. The purpose of the application process is really to get to know you and make sure that you are good for Pax and for you to decide if Pax is good for you. It seems to work and I have found all here to be friendly and a drama free zone which is always nice to find.
4) Not quite sure what you meant by this one, if you mean PVP then the answer is Pax does not mandate people taking part in any aspect of any game. The only stricture is that you respect other's rp even if you choose not to rp yourself.

1. I've got four kids and a dog, Pax is pretty understanding. Also, I'm deploying later this year... at which time, Pax will again be understanding as some are ex-military and know how it goes.
2. If Pax is in a game that you plan on playing, you will be expected to join Pax. I do not know how this works with games that have multiple servers. For more specific questions, please visit out Newcomer Orientation @ www.paxgaming.com Our charter can be found there as well that will go into the specifics you are asking about.
3. Same recruitment process. The same my wife will have to go through whenever I guilt her into playing PfO with me.
4. Many of our members will not be fighting for the most part. City management, crafting, merchants, and refinements is what they want to do and that is fine.

Real life always comes first. If your in a raid, or a party, and you have to bail because of kids, wife, pet, or other real life aggro, it's always understood. We just ask that if you know before hand these types of interruptions will be taking place, to allow that to factor in for what events you sign up to participate in.
As far as other games are concerned, it's a matter of split loyalties. We don't mind if your not part of the Pax guild on a server you play on, but we ask that you don't join other guilds as we like to keep our numbers focused on common goals, not fracturing around the server like overheated electrons.
We have a lot of hardcore pvpers, and they are more then willing to take up the mantle so others don't have to be involved in combat if they don't want. If you wish to remain in town, or be a non-combatant, we will have people available for guard duty, or gathering the things you need to craft, etc, so you only have to engage in combat if it's something you actually enjoy doing.
Obviously this doesn't take into account warfare, settlement attacks, and that type of thing, as the nature of a Sandbox game means you'll more then likely end up being attacked at some point. When these things happen, there will be players with the right skill sets to deal with it so our non-combatants don't have to, either by answering the bounty, getting vengance, or being there to prevent it in the first place.

So I've taken the plunge and applied to the Kingdom of Aeternum.
Besides being a family friendly environment they have support for lots of other games that I happen to play so they seem like a good fit.
I'm looking forward to setting up my teamster in the Kingdom to provide much needed transportation for all of the Kingdom's residents and allies.

Every time I work on a new character I get psyched up all over again for PfO. As an aside, in my own PnP life I've developed a new love for Cayden Cailean with the character I'm doing now, and I can't wait to toss back some mugs in his name in the form of glorious 3d pixels! (Gods willing of course. (Pun intended! :P))

The answer to that is certainly yes for the correct groups LordJessiah. We are working currently on how we will handle that. If you have a forum I would be happy to come talk to you there or alternatively I can inquire about getting you ambassador status on ours.
This is not the correct place however to conduct the more detailed negotiations
