Player looking for game

Local Play

Hey I am new to the pathfinder world and am looking for some experienced players that I can 'wet my feet' with. I am in the Southern California area (around Orange County and Santa Barbara)looking for a local game, or an online game. I am also looking into some PFS events near me, the first one I am going to check out is the GATEWAY 2012 at the end of the month. So if anyone around here or online is looking for players and don't mind lack of experience let me know!!

Hi, I'm also new and are looking for other players, I'm located in Culver City, LA. I'm also willing to try some online games.

Cool thats only about 30 minutes from my home in OC, and about 1hr30 from school in Santa Barbara. Are you going to GATEWAY by any chance?

Have you tried contacting your local VC or VL about games?

I have, one said they rarely play official society games. I haven't heard from the other one yet.

What about just organizing a game yourself? You could contact Mark Dorrough, who's the VL for Orange County and ask him which stores support Pathfinder and how you could go about GM-ing there.

We have a very active schedule of PFS games throughout the LA region for the month of August and September. Come on over to the LA lodge on Facebook: Southern California Pathfinder Society

We have games almost every Saturday at a number of stores in the area (Game Empire, GMI, more), plus there are two gaming conventions in September GATEWAY 2012 in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Sheraton Hotel and Socal Smackdown in Anaheim at the Convention Center.

We have a number of weekly events going on throughout the region on Tuesday nights and I believe on Thursday night also.

Join our group and get all the details. (there really is a LOT going on all around you)

Great. I see that you've joined up and are already getting in a game. With over 130 members in the group we are becoming very active in Southern California. Transportation to some of the games and events is a problem where public transportation sux, but that just encourages more local games right?
Let me know if you ever want to start a new group or event.

LA convention happens 3 times a year Labor Day, Presidents day, and Memorial Day. Along with SoCal Smackdown in Anaheim around late Sept/early Oct. During the school year D & D & D meets at Cypress College in O.C. but since they host for free, Cypress College students get priority (could mean a long drive to not have room to play.) I know Aero Hobbies in Santa Monica sometimes has PFS games and that is near Culver City.
