two adventure paths in one month!

please stop doing two adventure paths in one month! this can really adversely affect peoples budgets. i subscribed to one a month not two!

So, it rarely happens...but for August it does happen a lot due to Gen Con.

They always make sure Gen Con is the release for a New AP, which can lead to 2 APs that month.

So it is not a common occurrence.

yes, but as it just happened this month, and is gonna happen next, that really affects what else i can buy from them as im at less hours at work in the summer (i drive a school bus)

i realize that delays happen, but suck it up, i would rather not just not get one one month and the rest get pushed back and be able to buy another of thier products in a month, then get two aps.

I'm very sorry for the double shipment months. You are absolutely right. We should not have two APs coming out in a single month, and I assure you that we take great pains to avoid this outcome. Sadly, forces beyond our control will conspire to throw off our schedule and make this happen. However, we do as much as we can to mitigate the impact of these delays on subscribers as much as possible.

The good news is that we are bringing more of these forces under our control, which should have the effect of making double shipment months happen less often.

I can handle the double tap to my wallet, but I work retail full time...My pack of cranky first edition gamers (yes I do convert the entire monthly issue back to 1st edition each month) will chip in for the random monthly surprise costs...maybe you can ask your gamers if they can chip in?

Another solution to manage cashflow is to buy yourself a regular monthly gift certificate - that way you can pick the exact day your credit card gets charged, no matter what the shipping schedule is.

All you have to do is to immediately redeem it and make sure you have the "apply store credit to my subscriptions" checkbox ticked and it wont matter how much things get held up - you'll have the same, monthly, dependable charge off your card and it doesnt matter when the inevitable shipping delays happen.

Having said that - it's encouraging that more and more of the forces of the universe are falling under Paizo's control. Things are looking up. :)

I called them(Paizo) last year to tell them to not send me the 1st book in the new AP. It was not a problem.

After you do that you can restart your subscription, allowing you to continue with the 1st book in the new AP the following month. the idea of setting 4 dollars aside for 6 months to cover the second AP is also a good idea.

Seems to happen each summer' as previously stated, I suspect GenCon. :-)

Though I know, I'm doing the "Cancel and evaluate" thing. ( I put a request in to send the last ap 6/6 and not the 1/6 of the next set. ) I did the same thing last year and ended up just skipping Jade regent all together.

Had it remained 1 per month, it's entirely possible I'd have jade regent in its entirety.

I like the idea of waiting till late Aug, and maybe getting the first installment of the next AP then, and go one / month again till next summer. Thx Swager for that idea.

The issue, at least for me, isn't that there's two APs in one month. As has already said, that's common this time of year. The issue is that this is happening two months in a row. That makes a difference.

It's an even bigger deal when you consider that it's happening at the same time that a bunch of new products are coming out, like the Anniversary edition of RotR and the upcoming Minis release.

I appreciate the need to catch up after the delay earlier in the year but I wish the double-issues could have been staggered out a little and accomplished at a time when there weren't so many other big ticket items coming out.
