Multiple Arch-types

Advice

I have read and heard about using multiple arch-types, but have seen very few that have any that will work together. Most all of the fighter arch-types replace all the same abilities, so they can't be used together....That kinda defeats the purpose of stating that it can be done, doesn't it? Am I wrong?

some can be used together some can't

a good example of an archetype that can't be combined with any other is Archeologist(Bard) or Titan Mauler(Barbarian)

good example how multiple archetypes can work together is a Cabalist Bladebound Hexcrafter(Magus) or Pirate Bandit(Rogue)

This is a great resource for archetype combinations:

As you can see, there are quite a few that does combine, though it depends greatly on the class - some classes simply have archetypes which combine very badly.

Fighter is a bad example. A better example is the ranger.

You can have a guide urban ranger that's also a skirmisher. That's three archetypes in one, for almost a completely different feel.

Silver Crusade

My qinggong drunken monk of the sacred moutain's lotus begs to differ.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of 1st level character fighter...I don't see any arch-types under fighter that will work together.

Fighter is also one of the worst classes for combining. Apparently only the Gladiator archetype combines with others, and then only a select few.

fighter and clerics are the two worse classes if you plan to use archetype combos

edit: don't underestimate multiclassing as fighter though, play as example as a Two Weapon Fighter (Fighter) with 2 levels in Titan Mauler (barbarian) and suddenly you can dual wield falchions, curved elven blades, great axes, or other two-handed weapons

If you played Septerra Core and remember the intro/card with Marduk, you have a feel on how awesome that can be.

The somewhat lower attack due to negatives is hurting at low levels but as you level in a full BAB class(es) and have weapon focus and similar feats it goes away as a concern midway as you level up. Improved Balance gained at lvl 11 of Fighter (TWF) also helps negating the non-light modifier for one of the weapons altogether.

Looks like I will have to create my own.

I can't say if they are any good or not but these seem to be the only fighter combos that work

Aldori Sword Lord/Gladiator
Armor Master/Dawnflower Dervish
Brawler/Gladiator
Dawnflower Dervish/Airborn Ambusher (Strix)
Dawnflower Dervish/Cavern Sniper (Drow)
Gladiator/Shielded Fighter
Gladiator/Thunder Hammer
Gladiator/Foehammer (Dwarf)

Those actually help! Thank you!
