I have read and heard about using multiple arch-types, but have seen very few that have any that will work together. Most all of the fighter arch-types replace all the same abilities, so they can't be used together....That kinda defeats the purpose of stating that it can be done, doesn't it? Am I wrong?

fighter and clerics are the two worse classes if you plan to use archetype combos
edit: don't underestimate multiclassing as fighter though, play as example as a Two Weapon Fighter (Fighter) with 2 levels in Titan Mauler (barbarian) and suddenly you can dual wield falchions, curved elven blades, great axes, or other two-handed weapons
If you played Septerra Core and remember the intro/card with Marduk, you have a feel on how awesome that can be.
The somewhat lower attack due to negatives is hurting at low levels but as you level in a full BAB class(es) and have weapon focus and similar feats it goes away as a concern midway as you level up. Improved Balance gained at lvl 11 of Fighter (TWF) also helps negating the non-light modifier for one of the weapons altogether.

Dawnflower Dervish/Cavern Sniper (Drow)
