The "hide thread" option has been an amazing function for keeping my irritation at certain portions of the forum down. Any chance that a "hide/ignore user" function can be implemented as well? Sometimes you don't want to leave a discussion completely but just be able to ignore That One Guy who seems to be there for the purpose of only irritating people, and while he isn't doing anything truly worthy of being flagged but you'd rather just not have to deal with him.
Dunno how much trouble or effort this would entail but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Thanks!

Someone wrote a Greasemonkey script that does this. Works like a charm! (For Firefox and Chrome, anyways.)
Awesome, thanks =D
Guess this request is rather superfluous then, given the response in the linked one, but I got this out of it and hopefully anyone else wanting one will catch it too.

If hogarth did post anything, could somebody tell him that I wrote that his socks smell? He has me on ignore, so he won't see my post :( Also, could you re-post any his responses, because I can't see them as well. Thanks in advance.
Seriously for a change, the above is why Ignore feature sucks, kids.

Except that's not how ignore feature works on normal forums. You get this instead of his posts and you can choose whether or not you want to see their posts.

Aww, it appears Another-Mage's download link there no longer works. Anyone else have an alternate link by any chance?
I'm guessing it's this:http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~meade/greasemonkey/paizo_ignore_v3.user.js
EDIT: Here's the discussion of the latest version:

Orthos, I'm glad you found the script. Hopefully you find it useful.
If others come looking in the future, they can be directed to my profile page. It will have the latest links to all the scripts I've created for use here on paizo.com
I've also posted all the scripts to a GitHub repository, for those of the source code persuasion.

I ignored my own postings long ago because I am a jerk. There is a reason the boar is my avatar.
(not all boar are jerks, my property in Florida has a family of boar on it that are nice to me... but are known for attacking burglars. lol Still, when they get close to me, I make sure I stand on one of the picnic tables until they leave. The 400 lb momma is a bit scary a times. I'd rather tangle with a Grizzly here in Montana, than her.)
