Hello,
All free or aspiring DM's out there, hear our plea.
I'm part of a Legacy of Fire group who started the first book.
Our DM took us on a Side quest and then he fell off the grid.
We're a keen group and don't wanna see our game die.
We're happy to handwave the side quest and restart from the bit where we first meet the Gnolls and then thier leader ported away.
Your group should you choose to accept us consists of
Me. Calain. An Invulnerable Rager, ass kicker, gladiator and deflowerer of virgins everywhere
Pashaj. Our Inspire courage monk of Irori (what cleric, can't channel? HONESTLY!)
Urdaan. Our Dwarven Waraxe wieldin', Plate wearing Ranger. He's an Elf with family issues.
Raulzig. Our Gnome Archeologist Bard.
Sammy. Our Elven witch
Some stereo's, some playing against type, all fun.
Job Requirements:
The successful DM will have.
Plenty of RL or PbP DM experience (either one)
Kickass story telling
A generous xp giving nature (wink, wink)
A penchant for using google spreadsheet as a minimum (Maptools is preffered)
Regular posting.
Our group of 5 adventures and 1 proffesional hero await you.

Hello...
I DM STR Ranger (who you know as Calain) in another game on here and got invited to come take a look at you.
I have the Legacy of Fire AP, and have run it a couple of times already. I post maps and other visuals in a hidden area of one of my websites, and put links in the game thread. I normally visit Paizo daily.
Are you certain you've lost your DM? Just over a month ago he said "Just to warm yall my posting rate will be very scarce over the next few days or even weeks, my new schedule is killing me and until I can work things out expect posts from me to be scarce." His other activities may have taken a little longer than he expected to settle down. Don't want to tread on any toes here...

Thanks for the reply Megan.
See what the others say, of course I have no idea what exactly Wereagle had on, I'm figuring with Smartphones and home computers he would have at least dotted or something.
The fact he's exceeded the time he set, is what leads me to think we've been dropped.
I can give it awhile if you'd like to be sure yourself. It's simply nice.to know there's a good dm willing to pick it up.
@The group. Megan is a damn good dm. Pictures and maps come often and her descriptions are first rate. The posting cycle is min one a day and sometimes more if we catch ourselves within a few minutes of each other.

I would prefer to run the AP 'as is' - there's plenty to keep everyone amused therein, in my opinion - if you invite me to join you.
Without giving much away, in the first book you should:
1. Get asked to travel out into the desert to meet a potential employer.
2. Find her caravan experincing a few issues, help her sort them out and get hired.
3. Chase off some of the local 'wildlife'...
4. Go visit a deserted monastery to assess its potential as a base.
5. Explore a nearby village.
(There's more but it sounds like your side-trip came before you got any further...)
Have you done any/all of these things yet?
Megan Robertson |
OK. I have a job interview on Wednesday (those who don't know me yet, I am unemployed and vanish at intervals when trying to get hired... but only for a day or two at a time, and I usually remember to say something!), so let me get that out of the way and read through your game thread... say about Friday? That OK?

This is great news. I used to follow your Carrion Crown game, Megan. At the time, I was running that AP myself, and I was enjoying getting to see how others were DMing. I kept up with a few others, but I was always impressed by how you ran things.
I will be out of town this weekend, but I should have wi-fi, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to post regularly. If not, I'll be fine as of Monday.

I see you've found your DM so my origonal interest in this is no longer needed but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking on an extra player? Been a fan of Megan's since her old serpent skull game(I was a reader not a player)
I know the chances of taking on a 6th player aren't good but I'd be very grateful if you'd consider it. I'd even let the group choose what I'd play.

I think it would be up to Megan now, but I definitely won't object.
If you are looking at another game to DM or play, I would suggest to take a look at our Carrion Crown with pre-gens, which was off to a great start but lost half of the players and two DMs pretty quickly due to RL troubles.

I'm not opposed to another player as long as you are a frequent poster.
Put up what you like
Buuuut
Where have
A meatshield melee (me)
An AC ranger (who will eventually get divine spells)
A full cl divine (who has a bard's inspire courage)
A full cl Arcane (witch, though playing one is generally more about hexes)
A 2nd full divine (druid+ buddy)
A bard (archeologist)
So it's actually 7.

Okay so here is my character...I'll have an alias up sometime...I have two interviews today so things are a big crazy and unfortunately didn't have time yesterday like I thought I would to get him up.
Unfortunately he doesn't have a background yet either but I'll see what I can work up maybe between interviews today if not tomorrow.
