The new law allowing gay marriage has passed the German federal assembly. The last hurdle is now the federal court.
You seriously expect the federal court to reject that law? it's plain equal rights after all.

I hope it won't, but the decision they have to make is not, if the law is good or if it furthers equal rights. Unfortunatly there is a definition of 'marriage' in the German constitution, so the federal judges have to evaluate if the new law matches this definition.
Should they reject it, I fully expect them to suggest a reworking of the law or even a constitutional change.
If the law gets rejected because two persons of the same gender don't match the constitutional definition of marriage, the Fundamental Law will have to be amended before gay marriage can replace civil partnership.

Indeed, so let us hope the federal court finds the terms used in the constitution to be flexible enough.

Hello Everyone! *hugs*
So I tried on the dress...It felt so nice....and I need to get rid of my belly. But I love wearing it late at night just hanging in my room.
Yesterday I went to a friend's house and tried on some of his mother's old clothing....again it felt good...but I need to get rid of my belly...I picked out something I liked...even some that I hope to be able to fit in soon...
Over all a very good week...except for one thing.
So when I was a driving to go see Spider-Man Homecoming(a great movie by the way) I got a text from a friend that read "You are John Tonight btw". When I got there and asked him about it...he said he invited his manager and a co-worker. Sure In public and meeting new people I kinda just present as male due to lack of resources to present as female...and if explained why before hand I probably have decided as I did in the past that it is okay...but it was the command of it all that bothered me greatly. Now my friend has serious social issues...so I will probably write it off as that...and I will probably talk to him about it again.
But it made me wished I could have texted back "But I am presenting as female tonight".
Anyway over all a very good week. :)

And, with my tumor and diabetes, I don't think excessive amounts of alcohol is a good idea.
I mean, fair point. I don't drink much myself-- not fond of the effects. Last time I got drunk was... oh, November 8th of last year. No particular reason.
