Today was a bad day. I looked at the long road ahead to realize my true self and all the obstacles in my way (lack of money, close minded family members, and just the how long things take) and felt depressed. I also felt gender dysphoria all day badly. I called out of work and 'hid' in my room all day (still 'hiding').
I know nobody here an do much but offer sympathy, encouragement, and Internet hugs..but I just need someplace to talk about.

Participating in the GLSEN day of silence at my school.
In other news, people are extremely confused as to why I'm not randomly bursting into song in the hallway or in class.
Me too!
Of course, it wasn't very well organized and I didn't know that it was even happening until 4th period, but it was still fun. :)

My Mom just gave me a women's blouse ...probably not the style I would go for...but it was a very nice gesture. :)
I kinda love it when the power goes out...as long as I have light to read by. But growing up my family would turn off all the lights, TVs, etc...light a couple of candles and tell stories and such. We only did it a handful of times...but it was fun.

...all day? Try *all week* or *all month*...
Those are the hard days...
Hope everyone is having a safe evening out there, when they have their evening!

Having been the recipient of so many "dropped" games in the past, I sympathize. *hugs*

Going to look at cleaning it tonight with solution, already have the drivers up to date, card is five years old, though, so it might just be wearing out...
Be safe and careful out there, kids!

It could be dust. If the GPU has a fan, take a vacuum cleaner to it. Dust settling on the heat sink reduces its efficiency. Also, check for loose components on the card.

Use that vacuum cleaner very gently (as in, keep it at distance, minimum strength). Try to prevent the fans from turning during the process (that could create small electric surges, sometimes enough to kill the GPU). If you have a handheld vacuum cleaner, use that instead.

You could also use a spray can of compressed air. And don't forget to check for loose components. The parts, especially the elecrolytic capacitors shouldn't wiggle. I lost a system board due to a single loose capacitor.

And now, for a bit of nostalgia, Windows 1.01
Sigh
I didn't work with Windows until 3.1Does anybody remember the Atari ST?
Or even 'GEOS' for the Commodore 64?

I've been using compressed air on it, either tonight or tomorrow morning comes the 'swab with isopropyl alcohol' step...

I had a commodore colt growing up. The screen would roll. I made it to level 98 on Tetris with the screen rolling before dad messed with it and cost me the game.

I remember GEOS (Graphical Environment Operating System). I had both a C64 and a C128 while stationed in Germany.
