Indeed. For me as well. I'm using Chrome and all focus seems to be doing is refreshing the page.
Oh, cool! I didn't know about that feature. Uh, but it doesn't work for me either. I'm on Firefox and tested from the root paizo/messageboards.
Also seems to be affecting the PM feature as well.

I can focus/defocus but can't open PMs; when I try, I just keep dumped back to the inbox.
Same happens with the tabs, so that I can't even see the list of Sent Messages, let alone read them. I actually have a sent message that I really want to read, since it's the only place I wrote down some ideas... Blargh. :(

It seems it has nothing to do with browsers, being so widespread. But just incase it does, I'm getting the same lack of focus on my iPad.

Yeah, focus stopped working for me too as of last night, also on an ipad.
I've had it fail off and on for me for a various time periods today, (on Firefox). So it seems to be intermittent.
The browser loads a new page, but the same page shows up in the browser. (Perhaps a fast redirect, then reloading the current page?)

I had the same problems, but was able to get around it by switching from Firefox to IE. Since some people are reporting the same issues in IE... I'm guessing that starting a new session on a different browser somehow worked around the issue.

Tried it and it failed
Same problem. Can't edit in any way shape or form. Also can't log in or out of my account. I'm in some kind of funny limbo at the moment.
Switched over from IE to Chrome and everything seems to be working now.

Last night, I could focus/defocus in Chrome. Now I can't, but I can in IE.

It would be nice, if a member of the paizo staff would post something about this
I had these problems last night:
* Couldn't edit posts - submit took me to the first post in the thread
* Could not sign out
* Could not change names on the pbp posts
* Could not delete posts
* Could not focus.
All using Chrome. IE worked. I cleared Chrome's caches (all but PW cache) and things worked fine.
This morning at work, I am having the same problems again. I cleared Chrome's download and browsing history and cache and installed the latest update of Chrome, and it still fails. Have not tried IE from work.
EDIT: Focus works on IE.
EDIT2: Edit just worked on Chrome.
Editing profiles is still not working for me in Chrome.
Focus worked briefly, but now not working again. Still can't edit posts. Or hide threads.
Also the (x new) is behaving oddly, showing my own posts as new posts as new posts as well as other people's posts.

Hmmmm. I doubt that this is just a chrome issue. I would be more likely to see this as chrome is your major browser and so it's the one you use here most. I was having the problem this morning, but logging out and logging back in seemed to fix it for now but that might not work in all cases. As a stop gap though, it seems to work pretty well.
We're still looking into what's causing this and hope to find a solution soon. In the meantime, logout and log back in. If it's the case that logout doesn't work for you, go directly to paizo.com, click Sign Out then click Sign In directly from that page. If THAT doesn't work try deleting your .paizo.com cookies, if you know how or can google up a page that tells you how, and then close the browser and come back to paizo.com to login.
We'll let you know when we have more info.

Nope. Focus still doesn't work on Mozilla, even after logging out, deleting my paizo.com cookies, restarting the browser, and logging back in.

Yeah, I didn't know either. It will filter a list of threads to "display only dotted threads and recently viewed threads with new posts." If you go to the main forum or a subforum, the FOCUS link is near the FORUM SEARCH box, toward the upper right of the page.
Don't know if this is related to whatever change broke the system but now I'm unable to reply to any PM sent to me using the reply button in the thread. I have to create and send an original message to the sender instead.
Nothing.
I have the same issue as Vanulf. When I hit the 'reply' tab nothing happens at all.
I can replicate this in IE9. It's working right in Chrome.
Yep, seems to be working in Chrome all right, just not IE 9.
