It's an error.
I have a player using this spell in my campaign, and i'm puzzled by the 1/rd level ... Does it mean the creatue takes damage every round ? If yes, do you have to concentrate for it to last mutiple rounds ?

You unleash a powerful scream, inaudible to all but a single target. The target is dazed for 1 round and takes 1d6 points of sonic damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6). A successful save negates the daze effect and halves the damage.
Note that the duration says 'see text.' I'm guessing that this is something that was changed in the decription and not changed in the duration. FAQ candidate?
