Questions: 5 food steps and move actions; DR and Magic

Rules Questions

We played a Pathfinder Society game today and two different things came up that I couldn't figure out.

1) When something has DR 5/good or DR 5/---, does that damage reduction include spells or just weapon damage? If something has DR 5/- and someone casts scorching ray, would the ray do 5 less damage or does it not apply?

2) Can you take a 5 foot step, attack, and then take a move action...not to move, I know you can't do that, but to take a move action to do something else, like handle animal or open a door or load a crossbow, which all are move actions?

1) DR doesn't affect energy of any kind. This get's a bit confusing at times. So, for example, scorching ray is not affected by DR (although energy resistance works). On occasion, some spell might be affected by DR (in 3.5 there was a spell that slung a stone at a target, which would be a physical attack, and DR would affect).

2) You can take a 5ft step, and then take a move action, so long as you don't perform any actual movement. So taking a 5 ft adjust away from an opponent, drawing a potion from a haversack as a move action, and then taking a standard to quaff the potion is legal.
