ok, consider yourself in, gunther, post in the ooc thread so i can keep track.

I'd like to play, I just discovered these Paizo PBP forums. I'm not quite sure what roles we have filled here since apparently quite a few people dropped out.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I'd love to play, Varash. I have plenty of PBP experience, both as player and GM. I have not read or played in Kingmaker.

My first choice would be to play Sir Eamon, Knight of the Rose, a human paladin with ties to the fey. I can post that later this afternoon. However, I'm willing to fill any role the party needs.

Sovereign Court

Little new to the messageboards, was wondering if there was room in your campaign for me?

I would like to play a cleric of (Pelor?) I don't know what deities to pick from. I might do a Dwarf or a Human.

Hi Spadeykins, you can use d20pfsrd.com, PRD and Wiki for reference.

For those who just joined the forums and starting PBP, I welcome you as a fellow player of PBP games

Malkovitch and Spadeykins here's a step-by step tutorial for character aliases.

A character alias is like another ID on the forums for PBP games.

To create an alias;
1)right click on account at the top (so you don't loose this page),
2)sign in
3)in "Messageboard Aliases" click on "Create new messageboard alias"
4)put in the alias' name in alias name field
5)under avatar image, click change, select an avatar that matches the character concept as close as possible and click on it.
6)click on "submit changes" and the alias is created, but is blank.
7)in "Messageboard Aliases" you'll now see your new character alias, click on it and you'll be taken to the profile page,
8)click on create profile and fill it in will all the needed data, you can use Tina above as a template, just click on her name.

I smell A fellow greyhawk (3.5) setting player.

I've never played Greyhawk, but I do like clerics and know that it increases my chance of getting a group! :D

Spadeykins wrote:

did you play D&D 3.5.

If so, you did Greyhawk.
(Pelor, Kord, Weejas, Vecna, etc, are Greyhawk deities)

Oh well you are correct about that, I suppose deity wise we did!

I'd like to add my name to the list. I've been going over the kingmaker rules and I'd love to help run a kingdom.

I was considering making a cleric or maybe just a straight fighter.

To recap off the sudden new influx.

[b]Confirmed flykiller: alchemist[\b]
runewalsh: wizard
[b]Confirmed desriden: cleric of erastil [\b]
Leon: fighter
Xerell: inquisitor
[b]Confirmed Gunther: cavalier [\b]

Currently lacking, rogue-type, mage-type that i can see.

Those listed above have first call. however, i may try 2 campaigns with enough interest.

Those that have just recently submitted, go ahead and create, and I will do my best to put you in this group, or form another party.

Thank you all for your interest.

Where?

Look at the post tina azura made for a good step by step guide of how to create. Or post in here.

remember 25 point buy, 2 traits etc.

glad you like my guide.

What about the character data layout in the profile?

Sovereign Court

My character is mostly done at this point, I just need to know how much starting gold I get, do I roll for it or is there a set amount?
Also I need a list of traits to choose from, I get those and I'm good to post.

Sovereign Court

Oh, also how many hitpoints do I start out with?

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

Damn! Drat! Oh bother!

I spent about two hours using Tina Azura's excellent model to write up Eamon...and then it refused to save. Now it's 3:00 a.m.

Right. I'll start again tomorrow.

For now, he is here: Sir Eamon, Knight of the Rose

If you spend too much time in the edit section, your session expires. Next time ctrl+C the text before hitting save changes, so you dont lose all your stuff should it not save.

Type it in notepad and paste it over when your done

or hit preview about every 5 minutes.

max hit points for 1st level.

for starting wealth use average wealth given in class write-ups.

core classes

Unless you have a trait that changes that.

Sovereign Court

By the way, how do you roll dice here?

Malkovitch wrote:

type:

[?dice]1d20 + 3[/dice]

remove the '?' and try it

equation = N*dS + C;
where N = Number of dice;
where dS = die size (d4,d6,d8,d10,d12,d20);
where C = bonus/penalty applied to roll;

So, having created that profile, how do I then post from it without making it the default profile?

Also, what codes are used to create the Hide/Show thing? I tried the Spoiler tag, but it didn't work the same.

Thanks!

To use an alias without making it the default you;

1) create a new post/reply
2) Goto the "Post As" Dropbox near the bottom of the typing window
3) Click the down arrow.
4) select the Alias
5) type your stuff in typing window
do
6) hit preview to check the post result
7) do any editing needed
while(post is funny)

8) hit submit.

for spoilers type:

[?spoiler=Title_of_Spoiler]Hidden Text.
remove the '?' from the above line and try it.

Yeah, not so much. That's what I had already done. It doesn't give the nice "Hide" and "Show" buttons. It works, but it's not as neat and clean.

I am still open to play. I have Kerri, a Halfling Sorceress. I just have to adjust the stats ever so slightly, so I don;t have the 6 in STR, but I will do that if you accept me into the group. She is mainly focused on long range attacks and buffing.

The backstory should work that is currently on the profile, just have to ignore the part about "Silverhall". I hope I get considered. Kingmaker is a new campaign for me, so no previous knowledge.

Spoilers are the only thing we got,

NO hide/show button command we can use.

This is Tarondor. Look at Tina Azura's details, then look at mine. Her buttons just say "Hide". Mine has the word "Spoilers:" before each button.

Alrighty my character is done up! Enod Gray Human Wizard level one.

DM expect you to put the character data into the Alias' profile most of the time, there are a few exceptions.

And your link does not work with those who don't have an account there.

That better? :D

Yep that's better.

A Great example is here.

Follow My instructions in a new post:

Cut and paste the line below into the text box.
[?spoiler=Title_of_Spoiler]Hidden Text.
remove the '?' from the line and click preview.
Result should be this

Title_of_Spoiler:
Hidden Text.

Updated info with more stats/etc.

Enod Gray wrote:

Looks like you got it, but I would have each skill in one line (easier to read)

ie; Skill: Total = Ranks + MOD + (0 or 3)(trained) + Misc(Source)
And skills should be in it's own group since it is so big.
You can signify a skill as a class skill by putting an * before the skill's name ie; *Know(Local).

If your grouping things together like In Tina's Profile
Have sub headers in the spoiler to see each grouping better when it's rolled out.

Here is a profile of a Caster character, With a spells spoiler

Ohhhhhh!

Thanks!

If you decide to have a second group running this campaign, I would like to apply for a role. Just wondering IF you do have a second one, would the "Wildblooded" Sorcerer bloodlines be allowed? As Kerri is currently the "Linnorm Wildblooded bloodline"

Ok, this thread has gotten a bit confusing, however, we have a group 1 on the way.

If you are not involved in group 1 i have set up this thread,

Kingmaker group 2

People who have posted interest/concepts here will have priority, wildblooded would be allowed, you might have to point me to where those are published though, Kerri.
