Costing 795 gp (assuming normal exchange rates) of my 1350 gp, so I have 555 gp left so far. I would not be averse to contributing to the caravan, but I'm sure there's more gear I should be buying, too.
What's up, y'all? I'm the Caravan! You can post my stats in this profile so we have a good place to keep them. I currently have 315 gp allotted to outfit me before your journey. Protect Ameiko!
Aiight, I'm down. We'll see how that works. I've got most of the caravan's initial stats (not counting whatever you guys choose to do to it before you set out) typed up - when the time comes for the actual caravan, I'll send them over to you so you can put them in the profile.
Since I apparently gave out more loot than I realized, go ahead and give yourself another 700 gp to buy stuff with too.
Have you decided if you're changing your trait yet? And if so, to whom? We should work it into the backstory either way.
That may be particularly relevant if you pick Ameiko, since I do want to make certain you have at least the tie of shared faith with her as a stronger link to the start of this chapter.
Okay - last call for shopping and rebuild-tweaks, then. I'd like confirmation from everyone that they are ready to start the next part by Wednesday night if possible.
Current HP: 11/21, Strength Damage: 2 Channels Remaining: 3
Rather than dither about with buying equipment, I'm content with having a 700gp nest egg to spend before we leave Sandpoint. Let's get this thing on the road!
Okay, with your Crush now switched to Ameiko, new Relationship Scores:
Ameiko: +6 (Friendship, and you get 400 XP)
Koya: +2 (Association)
Sandru: +2 (Association)
Shalelu: +2 (Association)
Also, you know that Ameiko's taste for a good adventure yarn is rooted in bother her appreciation for a well-told tale and her devotion to Shelyn as the goddess of art, meaning that if you wanted to earn her favor, a rollicking story of derring-do would be a good place to start.
Current HP: 11/21, Strength Damage: 2 Channels Remaining: 3
I will have sporadic access starting tomorrow (8/15) until next Monday (8/20) as I will be at GenCon Indy. I'll try to check in, but my schedule will be very busy, so I'm not sure how well that will work.

1.5 rounds in, and two heroes have been dropped to 0 or less by this thing. Are we going to just move on to Shattered Star once this thing kills us all and starts wearing our faces? ;)
By the way, I will be taking a week in one of my favorite places - somewhere new - and am unsure of my posting availability. I expect to be back to normal availability on the 16th. I'm sure you note that I did not say back to normal - I'm not really there now!
Likewise, the computer issues I thought were resolved earlier this summer have returned with a vengeance, to the point that I am posting this from my cell phone. I will update as soon as I can, but I fear we are going to be taking another hiatus until I get things sorted out again.

As far as writing deadlines go, I might or might not have mentioned in the past that I am a Campaign Administrator for Heroes of Rokugan, a living-style Legend of the Five Rings campaign. I am more-or-less the head writer, and of the 35ish or so modules we're released for HoR III, about a third have been mine or mostly mine. One of those was due for completion before that con I mentioned, and I just about ran the clock out on it. I got it finished in time, however.
As for actual, real, get-paid-money-for-this RPG work, nothing yet. But if things go well, I might have some cool news in that regard in the next month or two...
Cool - I was not aware of that, no. I knew you were involved in some of that. Good luck on that other possible news. I would love to try, but I know my time commitments and personal organizational skills would kill any such project for me.
I have received a gift horse and, rather than looking it in the mouth, I'm going to go for a ride. I will be far from home and computer for the next ten days or so. Please bot Lamsfel in my absence.

Talk to you soon!
The gift horse in question was a ticket to a Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Magic. We had several days at sea and stopped at Montego Bay (Jamaica), Georgetown (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands), and Cozumel (Mexico). We got to snorkel out to a shipwreck and hike to (and climb up!) a Mayan pyramid.
I know some of you are much more traveled than I am, so this might not sound like a big deal for you, but this was an absolutely amazing experience for someone that had never even been to the seashore. It's going to be very hard to return to reality...

Well, if your aim was to earn my most extreme envy, you have succeeded, my friend. Even having done some of those things before myself, I would still do them all again at the slightest hint of an opportunity. I'm glad you had a good time, and I am likewise glad you are back with us!
Glad you had a good time! I've been on a similar cruise myself. You didn't go to Tulum, by any chance? That was the Mayan ruin I got to explore.
And to segue into my announcement, I'm getting to go on a trip for a few days. I'm not sure how much internet I'll have, so if my postings dwindle, just bot me or assume Tybus is in brooding silence.
Heh, it was not my intent, no, but I would go back in a heartbeat. I'm trying to seriously figure out how to get some family members to join on a future cruise.
Tulum was a strong contender, but we went farther inland to Coba because we wanted to climb the pyramid if they would really let us - and they did!
As it turns out, we could have paid extra for internet, but I'm kind of glad that I left the computer at home. No phone, no computer, no possibility of me trying to contact work or vice versa... I needed that.
Hey guys, just wanted to say that it wasn't my intent to have Gan sabotage your plans. I just felt that he'd see it more as a serious situation and wouldn't want to sugarcoat anything, you know?
