Three cheers for Lisa...Paizo just upped the print run a great deal. We are partnering on this (offcial news coming soon from Lisa and Jeff) on the Pathfinder version only. Lisa wanted to ensure that more people would have a shot at getting one--and she stepped up and helped make it happen.

It will still be a one time only print run, but the Paizo store will have copies of the Pathfinder version. To be clear, ONE PRINT RUN EVER, just printing a more copies for direct sale through Paizo. Essentially, Paizo placed an order for the books. Once again the company that saved our game steps up.

The SW version remains gone, gone, gone, and once the Paizo store is out, so are the Pathfinder versions.

Lisa and I discussed pricing, and my understanding is that she will honor the pre-order price and the pdf copy w/ orders as well.

I cannot say enough how much these guys do for the hobby.

Bill

Even though I pre-ordered through FGG I think this is great news!

I'll let folks know. These suckers are gonna be pretty hard to get. Mark my words...Ebay in 2 years will be 2-3x cover.

Anyone that owns a copy of Ptolus will know what that is like. Thats easily 2-3 times the cover price.

Dark Archive

Hahaha I bought 3 copies of the PF version and 1 of the S&W versions.

I'm still a bit sad my Splinters PBP petered out. :(

Likewise. I'm still not sure what happened there.

I'm started to get excited for this as the release date draws near. August seemed so far away when I first ordered it. I figure that even in the war torn post acopalytpic future when money is meaningless, it will still have some value; it's so thick it might stop bullet if I wear it as chest armor.

A lot of it was that the demands of my job at the time became pretty intense, (I was deployed in Kuwait overseeing a couple of multi-million dollar contracts and helping with one multi-billion dollar one) and by the time it eased up again, it was kinda past the point of no return. It didn't help that I had intentionally kinda slowed the pace prior to that to try and get my friend Nate back involved in it, as he was also having some work issues.

I think it is great that Paizo ordered some copies though I've already ordered mine through FGG. Only thing I wish could be done is to have the PDF that comes with it registered here at Paizo and appearing in my downloads history rather than over at FGG's -- mainly because I'll end up forgetting it is over there, or losing my password or whatever (how exactly do we get the PDF?)

I love having all of my Pathfinder PDFs safely located here. I don't suppose there is a way that those that ordered through FGG could get their PDF via Paizo? I'm doubting it but figured I'd ask.

Regardless, though, very cool of Paizo to order a few more. I'm so excited about this. Still kicking myself for not getting the S&W one too -- but oh well, I'll get the PDF for that I suppose. Incidentally, any chance the S&W PDF will be in the Paizo store?

As penance you mist purchase all copies of Splinters 10 more times.

If possible, this would be great. I love having all my PDFs in one place.

With the international postage the same for two, I ended up ordering two copies. Either a friend can buy it, or I'll sell it in a couple of years.

Me three.

I know it's a long shot but that would be awesome.

I'd love to have all my Pathfinder downloads in one nice neat place. Please, can I, please, pretty please. (I feel so guilty for asking, but can I, please.)

I managed to scrape together the money for the PF version of it. I would have liked the other version as well. ~sighs~ Such is life. The PDF will have to do on the non-PF version. Now to try to scrape up the money for The Slumbering Tsar Saga.

Thankfully I put in my order mid June, so now I just need to wait. I hope this has turned into a huge success for you guys!

We do too. But I know that I can speak for quite a few of us when I say that we're just jazzed to be working on the book.

We're coming up quickly on the "about three weeks," and I admit to getting all antsy in the pantsy. Any chance there's a more solid idea of a release date for the PDF?

(sorry if that's been answered elsewhere)

The PDF will be ready soon, about 3-4 more days (according to his high frogginess, Bill Webb). I would expect this to mean it will be available by the end of this week or at the latest, by Monday August 1st.

Hopefully Bill or Chuck will pop on to confirm this.

Things took a little longer getting the final PDF together and doing an electronic ToC is going to be a massive undertaking for me. My birthday is tomorrow so I will be taking that one day off this month. :) I am hoping to have the PDF ready by the end of the month.

I'm getting a little antsy ... because I want to make sure I get the Pathfinder version and not the S&W one. I'm one of those guys who chipped him before the distinction was made for which one to order ... and have yet to receive an e-mail to clarify.

I know I have ants in my pants. But ToH PFRPG edition is serious business! :)

If you sent Bill an email clarifying which one you ordered, you will be fine. However, you still have a while longer to wait for the hardcovers to be mailed. Cheer up though! The Demon Lord of Frogs, Tsathogga himself, will be the one boxing up your treasure. Nothing bad can come of that, I am certain. :)

ToHC PFRPG version IS seriously awesome. And the S&W is as well since it has a lair encounter for nearly every monster in the thing.

You taunt me with your sneak peeks. Tease. :)

So.... the PDF is going to be available relatively soon. Does that mean the people who ordered the HC will get theirs or do we have to wait until the book ships?

Thundershot wrote:

Actually, we won't be getting our own. There's a really wild round-robin exchange program planned where someone random will be getting your PDF, and you'll be getting the PDF that belongs to someone else entirely. Bill's having migraines trying to design the custom algorithm to track all of that since the PDFs are all identical.

<Grin>

But seriously, yes, my understanding is that hardcover preorderers will get the PDF before the book ships.

What I meant was... will people who pay $25 for just the pdf get them before the people who paid $89 + shipping for the hardcover? Or will we all get them at the same time?

IIRC, those of us who preordered the hardcover got a link to the PDF a few days before the PDF waa put on sale seperately. Please realize though that this was months ago, so my recollection my not be perfect.

Folks, I'll post here when I've finished the PDF and sent it off to Bill to get to the people who put it up on the website for you to get.

Was that a run-on sentence?

Also:

Before you download the PDF when it's ready, will those of you who are planning on running a campaign with it immediately upon receipt please move your RPGs down onto the lower shelf directly after download, before you write your outline for the adventure, if you're not getting both versions, unless you've got a friend who is getting the other version, in which case, outline your adventure before you begin the download of the PDF when it's ready, making sure to include special notations for your friend who is getting the other version of the PDF when it's ready, and make sure your friend moves your RPGs down onto the lower shelf for you.

Uhm,

Since I am planning on using it in my campaign as soon as I get it, I'm confused by this. My campaign is all in my head, so you are basically asking me to either crack my own skull open, put my own brain on my RPG shelf, or to ask a friend to do so.

Either way, I'm afraid I can't comply with this request.

That was a marathon, not a run on sentence. :D

@mdt That was just Chuck making an attempt at humor in the 13th hour of a project. So, how's it going Chuck?

P.S. Gerunds are your friend.

Quick Question Chuck how do I get my shipping address changed? I didn't realize until just a few minuets ago that Pay Pal's gave you my old address.

I believe that Bill will be double-checking all shipping addresses before he ships the books out. You are not alone in the shipping-address-changing department.

I approve of this statement. However, I have purchased both versions, and my RPGs are already on my lower shelf. What actions will I need to take when the PDFs become available?

If you have pre-ordered from Frog God Games, you should receive an email which includes the link to the download site plus a password (that you should never share with anyone).

If you have purchased anything from Frog God Games before you already have this email, with link and password to your account.

I recommend that you flag this email as important to make it easier to locate and/or keep the link address and password in a separate place for easy retrieval.

If Bill does something different than is already established, I am certain he will send an email to all concerned. I doubt it will be changed, however.

Come now, it's one of the defining bits of that skit! Besides, we did an interpretation of the skit, not the original. :D

Besides, it's not a requirement that one should memorize all of the Monte Python material, but it should be something that happens organically over time.

I no longer NEED to watch Python material as I can re-live the experience at the drop of a parrot.
