Holy cow. I forgot.

In full disclosure, I'm digging Tosh's bard concept quite a bit and think he will get the sole bard spot. You did a great job and I honestly considered having two bards, but that would just be crazy.

I didn't receive any GM offers, so if that's something you'd be interested in, let me know.

Thank you so much for applying - you seriously made me consider taking two bards. That's saying something.

Thanks for letting me know. Good luck to everyone else.

Raise of the Runelords is one of the few AP's I don't have the books for so I'm going to have to decline your offer to GM. I might lurk from time to time to see how the games going though.

Thank you Faunra! I am sorry that you didn't make it. I had fun with the "tavern talk"!

Thats a shame. I really liked having Faunra around. Besides, twice the bards means twice the fun.

I had a great time singing with you Faunra!

Thanks to GM_Todd for letting me play with the rest of you lucky people, whoever you are.

Ok. I'm nearing my decision. This is ridiculously difficult.

As I'm doing this, I need to a comment from everyone to determine if you're still interested in applying. If I don't hear from you by tomorrow morning (8:00 a.m. CST), I'll assume that you've moved on or as a sign to help make my decision easier.

I will announce the party before noon CST tomorrow.

Great RP'ing everyone.

If there are any GM's out there spying on this thread, you should TOTALLY start a game with whatever players I don't choose. You won't go wrong.

Just as an FYI, here is the criteria I will be using. The attributes are listed in order of weight or importance:

-Applied to Previous PBP and Weren't Selected (I know, I know...)
-Interesting character concept and background
-Plays well with others
-Mechanical diversity
-Monetary gifts (aka Bribes)
-Racial diversity

Don't know if that helps, but it does justify my ultimately arbitrary choice.

Grand Lodge

I'm in. Hope to be selected.

I am most definately still interested. I can't wait to see who my teammates are!

Still in. Dice and typing fingers at the ready.

Very much still interested.

I also want to say what a blast this thread was. It was difficult to work in a conversation with everyone as there were so many applicants but it made me think about aspects of my character that I hadn't considered before. Great thread everybody!

Copperscale is definitely in, so Rohan kinda has to come along. Which is good. :)

Side note for Rohan: I love that your eidolon has a stronger personality than you. I never would have thought of that.

Uber side note: I know a kid(14) is running a game for his friends where they're all summoners and their eidolons are like pokemon. They fight arena style. Pretty creative for a bunch of kids methinks.

I'm definitely in! These fine folk would be lost without a ranger. ;)

grats to Tosh!

I am would love to play and hope you consider my character.

Borhald wrote:

grats to Tosh!

For Borhald:

Thanks man. I wish everyone could make it, but I really hope you do. I enjoyed our roleplay. Tosh really want's to learn those northern tales!

Well I like the eidolon because its more like a sidekick than a pet. So you can have witty banter(basically by yourself). So I thought that for once, I would have the eidolon be the talkative of the two.

The first thing I thought of was a pokemon master when I saw the eidolon too. LOL. That doesn't bode well for me does it?

Very cool. BTW, I read your backstory and I really like it. Very usable from a GM standpoint but grounded enough to give your character direction. Its sad too...Well done!

Thank you. It was hard to find a group of people connected to dragons. Hermea was one of the few. And of course I had to figure out a plausible reason for him to be an adventurer, which meant it had to be a little sad.

I'm in. Best of luck to everyone.

Definitely still in. Sorry I didnt get much opportunity to jump into the roleplay but I hope my previous roleplay on your other game came through.

I'm still in. Had fun with the prologue. Here's hopin I get to join you fellows in the adventure.

If any of you don't get picked here, or feel like doubling up on campaigns. I'd be willing to consider your character's for one of two games I'm DMing. You guys will have a good shot

An Urban Based Campaign Borallas Rebellion
And a wilderness Survival kind of campaign Mormont's Gauntlet

If your interested and you want to post your concepts on either of these (Adjusting to the campaign of course)I will be willing to accept applications past the close date. As long as you post before Monday. I really liked a lot of these character's. I wouldn't want them to go to waste.

Viorela is in

After all the great time in the inn, I started to think of her as a real person, as a character she's practically playing herself.

Vors Malcroft wrote:
Granted, it's not ranged damage on par with a wizard, but as a paladin of Erastil, Vors can use his smite evil ability with his longbow.

I see you have Weapon Focus (longbow), which rocks if you are pursuing ranged paladin mechanics.

I know GM_Todd listed mechanical diversity as his 4th bullet, so my hope was in highlighting the rarer parts of the applicant pool, folks might see an opportunity for last minute tinkering of mechanical aspects to improve their odds.

It's just a bit funny how melee-centric all the submissions were, even the summoners are melee-oriented, and the lone wizard submission has Summon Monster :)

Real heroes do it up close ;)

I can't agree more.

Grand Lodge

Yup. You can never have too many! Hahahah!

Yea, I don't see what the problem is, as long as we have ranged options, right?

30 Minutes to the Deadline.

We're only missing Winterwalker.

I probably won't post again until I announce the party, unless there's a specific question that requires my attention.

Thanks again, and good luck everyone!

Rohan Drake wrote:

I would tend to agree. Even Sorin has a bow though it certainly isn't his weapon of choice. GM_Todd said not to worry about squeezing every possible point out which is partly why I took the Intense Artist trait from Faiths of Purity. It fits character-wise but in combat, has no use whatsoever.

And good luck to everyone!

I just wanted to say as a member of GMT's serpent skull game- Good luck to everyone!

Olondir I just wanted to let you know...your avatar creeps the hell out of me lol.

Ivellios Xiloscient:

Hey-o. Can you email me, please?

thetoddblog at gmail dot com

If anyone other than Ivellios is reading this, you've just lost 1,000 points off of your application score.

(It should be stated that I actually have no way of tracking this, so your curiosity won't be punished. This time.)

Anticipation won initiative and is coup de gracing my helpless self...Translation from nerd to English for those who might be new...The suspense is killing me.

And I'm late. Sorry.

After much deliberating, I have come to the selections below.

Ivellios Xiloscient - Wizard
Tosh - Fighter Bard
Vestad - Cleric
Iron-Dice - Rogue
Borhald - Ranger
Vors Malcroft - Paladin

To the rest of you, thank you so much for applying. I had a blast watching you interact. I know everyone says this, but there were no bad applications.

Along those lines, there are somethings happening with my SS campaign which may require some character/player alterations. Should that prove necessary, I will come back here to recruit another player from those who already applied. If that happens, it will be on Monday.

For those selected, head on over to the OOC Discussion Thread and complete your character profiles.

Thanks again to everyone. This was incredibly, incredibly difficult.

Many thanks to GM_Todd and to everyone who particpated. I had a really great time and would be lucky to play with ya'll again.

Well, I'm bummed. Have fun everyone. :(

Thank you! The interactions were amazing. You all really have talent. Thanks GMT for the selection and I will keep watch for any changes to SS group.

I'd definitely have fun with anyone who posted here at my gaming table (virtual or otherwise).

Wow! Thanks, Boss!

It really was a blast to play with you all. The cool thing about RPGs is, that at least from our perspective, we really met a golden wyrmling named Copperscale with his sidekick, Rohan, a well spoken fighter named Ash, a songstress named Faunra, a one-armed half-elf with a tragic past, a boisterous dwarf named Dargail, and many others... Not forgetting that unknowingly, we drank ale with the mayor's niece!!!! Take care, all!

Good luck, was fun in the inn.

I played "What if I was the DM" and had almost the same list (I didn't even make my own cut!).

Vestad was the only cleric, Ivellios the only wizard, Vors for his bow, and Borhald & Iron-Dice were both great in adding skills in addition to melee!

Liberty's Edge

Rats! Foiled again.

Just sleeping :) Though I must say, my previous posts saying I hope I get in should of counted, :P

Maybe I'll run a Rusty Dragon Inn game where it's just new PCs and NPCs visiting every day.

Dang, I've been following your SS game, if I'd known this I'd have applied in this thread. :)

Thanks for considering me. Another character I have to retire lol.

Again, If any of you are interested, I will be willing to consider your characters concepts in one of my two campaigns. Most of you I already like as roleplayers and I'll give you a good shot too.

Grand Lodge

Aww. Too bad. I agree, I had loads of fun. I guess Ash will be hanging out in the Rusty Dragon. Stop by and visit sometime! :) thanks for making it fun guys! I'll be following!

I did, indeed, have to make some shifts to my other game, so I'm back here to replace my Wizard.

Viorela, if you're interested, I'd like to invite you to join the game.

Please head on over to the OOC Discussion Thread if you're interested. If you'd prefer not to join, please let me know in this thread so that I can recruit another.

Thanks!

Gladly, been keeping an eye on you guys in case her skills were needed!
