BACKSTORY:
Tosh Besnik grew up Varisian. His family roamed town to town and city to city, never staying too long.
As a boy, Tosh’s most complete memories take place in Varisia’s main metropolises: Magnimar, Korvosa, and Riddleport. These bastions of civilization proved an excellent source of income for Tosh’s family of performers and tradesmen. Ioulia, Tosh’s mother was a famous seer and fortuneteller while his father Yevgeniy delighted adults and children alike dancing with Mormo the bear.
Tosh developed an excellent voice from a young age and quickly learned that a few verses of a well sung story could put food on the table for a week. Thus, he began working at an early age, singing the tune to which his father and the bear could dance.
When he came of age, Tosh’s voice changed. It cracked and winced when he strained to reach those golden high notes. His father wanted to send him away in anger, but his mother prophesied that Tosh would undertake a harrowing journey. He would learn the ways of men, how to stir their hearts and minds and, in the end, he would become a legendary bard of both Varisia and forgotten Thassilonia.
With a heavy heart and a soaring spirit, Tosh began his tour of Varisia. Around fifteen years later, Tosh passed the gates of Sandpoint. He remains there to this day, singing for his supper in a rich baritone voice.

1. Why are you in Sandpoint? Are you a local or a visitor to the city?
I live in Sandpoint and have done for 2 years. He has spent his adult life moving from city to city, learning the culture and the stories.
2. What are your motivations for attending the Swallowtail Festival?
Tosh loves culture, civilization, and people. Any excuse to make merry is a top priority.
3. What will your character contribute to the group?
As he progresses, Tosh will aid his allies with song and narrative bolsering their courage and stirring their hearts to great deeds.
4. What are your plans for your character mechanically?
Tosh will begin as a Bard and might dip into rogue or fighter for the combat prowess and/or dip into sorcerer for the dreamspun bloodline as he may gain the fortune telling abilities of his mother.
5. What are your plans for your character from a story-perspective?
Tosh is a passionate, fun loving person. He wants nothing more than to share his songs and stories with people, but he has a terrible fear of rejection. His confidence will grow as he performs, aids his friends, and succeeds in combat. I intend him to grow into an advocate and diplomat for the party. Moreover, he will inspire by word and deed alike.
APPEARANCE:
A tall man, Tosh's smile is wide and welcoming even beneath a thick, dark goatee. His eyes shine from beneath well groomed brows. Thick curls strain against a patterned headscarf prison. Tosh wears stripped trousers in alternating brown and green that plunge down behind knee-high leather boots. A burgundy poet's shirt hangs off his thin frame, restrained by a handsome vest of thick, tanned leather. Around his waist are two sashes, twisted around each other in gold and green. A thin sword belt perches atop the sashes and suspends a stunning rapier.
