I had my first day of school today, summer is officially over and as if it was trying to prove it, the sun went away for the first time in weeks. I feel a little sad. But in lighter news, I'm back onto a regular posting schedule! Should be around much more often, now, for several months at least.
I've never seen a firefight won by a dude with a camera.

Two more players characters and a DM position later, I think I have toned down the length of my posts a lot! However, I am still in search of the opportunities to make some great epic posts. My earlier post was ok, but I felt like I was cheating because I basically retold Mashja's story. Nevertheless, I am still having a good time with Solaric.

Haha, I think that the mix of writing styles you find in PbP is great and actually make for much richer story than you often find in person.

@Zyren, I'm unfamiliar with the game you are recruiting for. Plus, I'm still waiting for Sable to hurry up and get going on his game, I need him to decide what all monsters he's making playable so I can come to a final decision about my character's race and get her done.

Well so far so good. I am having a good time on our all high school retreat. We have done some kayaking, swimming, ultimate frisbee and soccer. I love getting paid for this kind of work! Well tonight they are all camping out in a bunkhouse. The girls on one side, the boys on the other, and the faculty in the middle. That should be interesting. I am the envy of my colleagues as I get to be home for the evening to sleep in my own bed. I get my turn tomorrow night! Well, all seems well at this campfire. I will be doing some short posts in the morning and then I'll be back home Friday night. Have a great day tomorrow!

I have had three proposals go out in two weeks. That has left me squeezed for time (and a few EXTRA grey hairs :p). Trying to keep up with at least a post a day. Not losing interest, just free time.
But yeah, you guys get rolling just as I go to bed and have 12 posts up before I get out of bed. I just have to be vigilante and post while I eat breakfast.
Things should be calming down now, so my 5 hour window of concurrent posting should more active.
And I would have LOVED to be in the your pulp game ZZ, but just way to committed to other PbPs. But luckily my IRL game is taking a break while a player has a new baby so our campaign goes on hold and will play a month of Pulp.

I just had to back out of one of the PbPs I was in do to just not feeling the character and in turn put up some pretty shi$$y post compared to what I usually like to try for. I had this happen with one of my other characters, but when I finally got the feel for him he became my favorite character of all time. The guy I just dropped the axe on, however, never seemed to come into his own for me. I tend to play dwarves and halflings so maybe it was a matter of culture, lol. As players and DMs, how do you guys deal with lackluster characters that you've created?
Good question, I think bowing out is maybe the best option in such a case. In my ROTRL campaign was also a very special character who was exchanged by his player, because he was too special^^
We might see some new faces around the campfire soon since the pulp campaign has kicked off - be nice to the new arrivals, will you? :)

Oskar is thinking that Gregori should keep his vodka dreams to self. Campfire peoples is all looking like nice normal types to me. Maybe some are funny colour or very short but Oskar no here to judge. And Finnish women finest in world, Gregori just confused because he is drinking too much vodka and molesting innocent finnish goats and believing is woman. Oskar remembers Gregori's story of how he join army.

Mornin' everyone. Sorry I wasn't on last night. I came in around 6 pm, took a cool bath and laid down for a "nap", since I only had 3 1/2 hours of sleep the night before. Well, with the kid being gone, and everyone else under strict orders to leave me the F alone. I slept through until 9:45 this morning. Go figure. I guess I needed it. I also needed to read two more chapters for the discussion board that is due tonight but I did not... so, lot's of reading to do today! Yay! (note the sarcasm in that yay)

He was actually very non-specific about what in particular we are to discuss. I guess it's going to be somewhat open to interpretation. I know only that it is to cover the first five chapters of our textbook The Last Dance: Encountering Death and Dying, and a lecture video we are to watch.
Oh, there is also a 1200-1500 word minimum summary that we are to write as well, but that's beside the discussion board.
