Taking the hit knowing that if he is hit again he will fall he readies himself and attacks once again.

Confirm Crit
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Did not crit.
@Sentis: I did not take a teamwork feat. I did not really like the idea of them so just did not take one.

Cort's strike cleanly bisects the skeleton at the waist and it collapses to the ground, the necrotic energy binding it together spent.
Kaavel and Grusk account for the other sentry, Kaavel's fist blowing clean out the creatures knee causing it to collapse to where a morningstar mangles its head.
After the dust has cleared, the squad is able to better survey the interior area. The figurine on the pedestal is well made in rust flecked steel, and portrays a wolf teeth bared crouched as though ready to pounce.
The interior wall is shelved with all matter of books and containers, and it will take you some time to sift through them for valuables.
Sentis Spinis
As soon as his brothers had finished the skeletons Sentis went to one knee to catch his breath.
By the Green that was close. Well done Wolves.
He could still feel blood trickling from where the armored terror had nearly decapitated him.
He then cast a Cure Light Wounds on himself 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
The druid looked up at Kaavel's question and answered.
I can heal you a bit friend. Wish we were strong enough to have finished them off sooner. We almost lost a few of us I think.
He reached out and laid a hand on the fellow half elf's shoulder as he cast another Cure Light Wounds 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Who else is hurt bad? I can heal one more today.
Drannigan "Doc" Piper
"Th' nex' time ah let you lot talk me inta traipsin' out in th' middle o' nowhere wit'out takin' th' time t' properly prepare mah supplies, ah'm gonna light someone on fire..."
Doc trudges over and weakly kicks the pile of dusty bones. Glancing at Sentis he says "I'm not doin' so hot an' ah'm outta supplies. Ah vote we camp right 'ere."
Without even waiting for a response the grumpy dwarf drops his pack and sits down on it, breathing slowly and deeply.
Memluk "Blaze" Seljuk
Blaze, utterly unharmed, chuckles at his squadmates comments "Come on Wolves, they weren't that hard. Well, expect the whole not going down so quickly to our blades."
He then notices Cort carefully examining the statue and laughs at his dueling buddy "Oh, so now you're going to be careful. What happened to the daring young man of just a short time ago?? That's a figurine of a wolf, we're the Steel Wolves. Clearly it's a sign" He says in a goodnatured mocking manner.
Grusk II
current health 8/21
@Doc
"Twas a mighty blow tha creatures struck Doc, I ave tah agree I ave felt better myself. Yah gots anymore o tha whiskey, it will numb tha bruises, even though it won't fix em."
Sits down near Doc.
"We needs a bit o healin if theres any tah be had."
Looking for traps
Perception
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Cortland Broadcloak
Cort, goaded at his friends teasing and reassured by Grusk, will reach out to pick up the wolf statue and turn it over in his hands, examining it closely. He will take one hand off and toss a water skin full of Oldlaw whiskey to Grusk. "Help yourself, that looked like a nasty hit." He says, without taking his eyes from the figurine. "I can't imagine this is worth going through all this for."
DM - Voice of the Voiceless
As Cort's hand touches the figure images flash through his head.
You are fighting against men that seem to have gills. The one attacking you trips you and readies to drive a trident into your skull when he is assaulted on the flank by a wolf. It leaps upon him, tearing with teeth and claws.
A city ranges before you as you ride into battle on a chariot drawn by the bestial wolf. It growls fiercely as it picks up the pace, careening you into combat.
Cortland Broadcloak
Knowledge History:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19. Limited to 10 so...
"By Shelyn... I think those cyclopses were fighting Azlantis." Cort looks at the wolf, comparing it to the ones in his visions. "I think they used these beasts as cavalry, and battle partners." He smiles fiercely. "I think this is a good sign..." His fingers trace the brand he got when he joined the Wolves. "This feels oddly... connected. Like we were meant to find this. I don't know if I want to give this up." He looks conflicted, knowing that betraying the money is pretty much the quickest way to lose status as a merc.
Sentis Spinis
The druid walks over to the dwarf.
Damn Doc you got cut up pretty bad. Let me treat these wounds.
Sentis lays a hand on his shoulder and cast CLW
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Sweet!
There you go. Looking much better already and thats saying something. Doc's right, we should camp here and take the time to heal, rest and really look through these books and such.
Grusk II
"Then lets takes tha books tah tha guy he seems tah fancy books more than women....."
Takes another big swig....
"I says he likes books an ken have em. Cort one o them books might be a history book were yah tah look, stead o holding tha like tis an award."

For the search, just to let me break it up and personalize it a bit more. Can each of you who have a look give me a Perception check, as well as any Knowledge checks that you think might help you look.
Also state if you use any magic to assist the search (such as detect spells).
As a re-cap, there are books and containers (scroll cases, wooden boxes, etc) and some scattered figurines on the shelves.
Also, as an apt point - I'll kick off the new IC thread with a re-cap and results of the search
Sentis Spinis
Having finished up with all of the healing he could do for the squad until they rested; Sentis joined in the search for valuables.
Perception 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
seeing a few things of interest the Druid cast detect magic and takes the time to focus and scan the entire room. even if that means multiple castings
DM - Voice of the Voiceless
Happy with a 20 taken on Perception (though would be helpful if you can write the total in game thread so I have less searching to do), though Knowledge's will need to be rolled now.
I'd only consider allowing a take 10 / 20 for Knowledge when you've a reference library written in the right language ;)
Drannigan "Doc" Piper
Suddenly much more invigorated, Doc nods his thanks to Sentis and says [b]"I owe ye one."
Knowing that his eyes had never been the best, Doc leaves it to the others to spot anything important, taking it upon himself to look over what they find for workmanship, value and clues to it's importance.
When Doc takes 20 for Perception it's a 19, so I think he's better off sticking to his strengths.
Take 20 on Appraise for anything they find. 28 total
Also, I'm setting up a cook pot and doing some crafting. Alchemists are suppose to be potion making machines so I'm going to get on that. During every downtime phase I have been mentioning I've been crafting things (but never really specified what). Voice, would it be ok to assume that Doc has got a few things partially made?
