Assuming you were offered by a Genie or some other powerful Outsider the reward of being able to use a Supernatural Power at will that mimicked a spell, what would you choose?

Gaseous Form, Spider Climb, Earth Glide or something else? Or would you ask for something a little less extreme such as a material reward or the promise of aid sometime down the track?

First of all, may I say I greatly admire your skill and beauty.

Looking over Kyra's thread, although she criticizes his lifestyle, she repeatedly refers to Valeros as 'a fine figure of a man.'

Had you noticed her checking him out? Does it make you jealous, or rather, does it open up interesting opportunities for you?

Obviously the ability to use wish as a superpower. Why shoot for the low hanging fruit?

Jealousy as a concept doesn't make much sense to me. Competition always makes the reward so much more worth it!

I can see several flaws with that plan. A), the other Iconics will pester you constantly and B) you'll have to watch what you think/say while excited. Nothing quite like wasting your weekly wish due to a slip of the tongue, and a humorous/awkward wastage at that.

C), D) and E) I'm not going to mention as I can see several Gnome Ninjas armed with Earthbreakers lurking at the corner of my vision......

Merisiel, have you ever had a cookie from Lilith?

But how do you feel when you lose?

All flaws are rendered irrelevant once I have wish as an at will superpower. (no one said "weekly" wishing at all)

Nope.

Who says I ever lose? I just have varying degrees of success.

if you were in a sinking ship, off the shackles, what would you do?

ulgulanoth wrote:

Swim to the nearest island or non-sinking ship and take it over.

Dark Archive

are you a good swimmer?

Whats the most fun thing you've done with one of the other Iconics?

ulgulanoth wrote:

Good enough, I guess.

Damar wrote:

That's yet another topic I'm not allowed to talk about here, alas...

Have you ever had a point in your adventures where you've almost turned around and gone back into town in disgust, rather than fear or defeat?

Postin' t' gets me dot back. (^_^)

So, when it comes t' swimmin'. Do ye shuck some, most or none o' yer gear t' do it in?

Have ye ever bought duds sper-cificall-ity fer swimmin' in?

Clothes and swimming only make sense when you weren't expecting to go swimming.

does this mean that you go swimming naked? o.O

She certainly don't smell like someone who never takes a bath.

ulgulanoth wrote:

Yup. Unless I think there's monsters in the water or other dangerous stuff, in which case I go in there in armor and armed with handy piercing weapons.

Merisiel, my friends and I have been enjoying a debate on Elven outlook, and I would welcome your input.
My friend says that since elves enjoy a longer life, that they tend to take a lackadaisical approach to solving problems, since they know they can tackle it further down the road than a shorter lived race.
I disagree, saying that because elves are longer lived, that they see the folly of letting a problem sit and perhaps grow bigger, especially because elves have a greater investment in the future, as they'll be living in it longer than we humans.

Would you side more with my thoughts or my friends? And if it's more situational than my generalized thoughts, would you please elaborate?

How often do you encounter folks who've never met an Elf, and how many times do you have to sit through "What's wrong with your eyes?" questions?

If you ever came across a malfunctioning Mirror of Opposition that instead spawned friendly versions of whomever was reflected in it, what would you do?

*readies Decanter of endless Tar and Feathers for the inevitable Troll response from the peanut gallery*

Have you ever encountered a person, thing or event in your adventures that made you go "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!", and if so, can we have some specifics?

Which would be cooler? A cloak that allows you to turn into a flying animal at will for as long as you want, a baby unicorn who thinks you are it's mother, or a sentient back-talking magical weapon?

Has there ever been a moment when you've woken up bolt upright in bed screaming?

How do you handle the soul-crushing horrors you've seen in your adventures.

Ever had the opportunity to bind a Succubi and wrangle a service out of her? AND NO I AM NOT BEING LECHEROUS, stop looking at me like I'm some drooling lackwit.

Ever encountered the Blackguard Iconic?

As an Elf, you are proficient with Longswords, Rapiers and most varieties of bows. Why do you not use bows or longswords in combat? Surely it's more tactical to pepper your enemy with arrows from hiding, lure them into a trap, and then gouge out their kidneys with your rapier, than getting close enough to accurately hit with a Dagger?

Would Harsk Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee if he was given a +5 Speed Seeking Distance Heavy Repeating Crossbow?

At the risk of taking a +5 Bane (Giant) Earthbreaker to the face, what would you do if Kyra was turned into an Elf via a magical/supernatural accident? Would you take steps to sabotage her transformation back into a Human form, or is it that vitality (and greater bust size >_>) of hers that appeals to you?

Have you ever asked a shaonti anything?

Hmmm... I'll think about it and get back to you in a few months.

Eew. I hope not.

A skorfling's a weird little snuffling furry critter with tiny little horns and flat tusks that lives in underground burrows.

Silly = annoying and a waste of time. Funny = entertaining and witty and NOT a waste of time.

Too much cocaine mixed with poor personal hygiene.

Rarely; people where I go aren't that ignorant.

Make me an army of me.

I've never said "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!" in my life, and hope I never do.

As long as that flying animal is a bird or a pterodactyl and not a bat... the cloak!

No.

Booze and an overabundance of delight.

Nope; can't cast spells that bind outsiders. Unless you're not talking about spells, in which case that's none of your business.

Nope.

Because throwing daggers is more fun than shooting arrows. And since I like to sneak attack folks, the range benefit of a bow is irrelevant—I generally won't be attacking folks further than 30 feet away anyway.

Nope. He'd be gracious in accepting the gift, but Harsk does not squee.

Bust size is irrelevant to beauty, first of all. And I wouldn't sabotage anything anyway... especially since as an elf she'd have a longer lifespan.

Anything helps, especially when it's needed.

Nope. They're scary, but they've got nothing on bats.

Does ye have a favorite type o' terrain...?

Whut sort o' place d'ye feel th' best-est at fer relaxin'?

True enough about the bust issue, but what I was asking is that if Kyra was turned into an Elf, would you sabotage any attempts to turn her back into a Human?

what do you think of the Dark Tapestry?

Not if that's what she wanted.

That it's spooky.

Make me an army of me.

How much would you charge one of us for just one of those copies of you.

What do you feel is your best part of your body?

Do your eyes change color depending on what mood your feeling? I know human eyes can but I'm not sure about elven eyes.

If yes to the above question what color do they turn when your angry? Just so I know when I should start running...

Gee, a City be a big place.

So, where about's normally. In'a broadly speakin' sense.

An' d'ye be havin' a favorite city in which t' have yer restin'/fun place? (^_^)

So....how many daggers do you carry?

Do you ever use poisons?

How do you feel about Drow? Pity, revulsion, horror, fascination?

What would be your first reaction on bumping into a Drow? (hilariously, have the mental image of you literally running around a corner at full tilt and smacking into your Evil Twin)

Which of the following items would you consider 'mandatory' for a long trek through the wilderness?

Decanter of Endless Alcohol (As Decanter of Endless Water, but has a potent illusion spell woven into it to make the water taste like whatever alcohol you choose.)

The Gourmet's Satchel (As Bag of Holding I, but with a Gentle Repose spell woven into it to keep food fresh for months, enabling you to take tasty treats from civilisation with you.)

The Pocket Palace (Can generate a Secure Shelter containing soft beds and a warm bath, hidden behind a Major Image of the local terrain to prevent uninvited guests.)
