Working on a gunslinger for playtest... it really struck me (again) how feat hungry this class is.
With a standard action reload, you have to take lightning reload or be stuck shooting every other round, which would be crippling. So that's first for every gunslinger, ever. Don't like that.
You can always play human and get one more feat, but it doesn't really help that much when you have a class feature partially dependent on Quick Draw (Gunslinger's initiative) and a three feat chain that is fairly necessary to filling your role as a close range ranged fighter (e.g. dodge, mobility, deft shootist).
You do get 1/4 bonus feats, but it comes with the caveat that your character's power source doesn't improve without spending feat slots (i.e. no Grit without spending feat slots). I think Signature Deed counts this way, too - why does the Gunslinger have to spend a feat slot to gain a grit cost reduction on one deed at level 11?
So you end up with something like this:
1 + human bonus feat = Lightning Reload, Quick Draw
3 - Dodge
4 - Mobility
6 - Deft Shootist
8 - Mighty Shot, extra grit
10 - ?
12 - Signature Deed, ?
2 feats are not a lot to customize a level 12 character - there are huge chains for ranged combat, especially if you wanted to get into two weapon fighting like the Iconic.
I think the final needs some help here - maybe more 'requires at least 1 grit' instead of feat prerequisites or just more feats or grit that grows without feats / a signature deed as a class feature instead of a feat.

You realize that you get feats every odd level in addition to bonus feats, right? So the gunslinger gets feats at 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17 and 19.
I'm not sure where you got the progression you are using...
That's what I get for multi-tasking... Think I flashed back to 4th edition. partway through :P You're right, should have been:
1 + human bonus feat = Lightning Reload, Quick Draw
3 - Dodge
4 - Mobility
5 - Deft Shootist
7 - Deadly Aim
8 - Extra grit
9 - ?
11 - Signature Deed
12 - ?
The ? at 9 should probably be point blank shot (or nothing if you aren't human and lose the feat).
Actually, this ends up the same - 2 feats at level 12. (Or none, since you won't always be human and you probably need to start down the point blank shot road).

I stand corrected!
