There is a plan B and I'll still be moving away, but it'll be to the middle of nowhere because the husband has a 3 year contract lined up there because we probably won't be able to do anything else for awhile. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Until you've been dragged backwards down the expressway by an eighteen wheeler, you haven't been in a *real* car accident!
Most of them tend to be, thankfully I have never had one. knock on wood [Slaps.....Wood]
I have a buddy who had 3 of them. 3 Times he was lifewatched to a hospital by helicopter. He was not at fault, nor was he driving. He drives himself everywhere now.

HOP.
It's an easter bunny movie. Not a classic, but the kid loved it.

And the husband only got that contract, because he called in a favor with a buddy of his at the University of Saskatchewan.

Mornin', everybody.
I would if I could figure out how to contact them through said blog, without actually logging into Google.
That being said, I did figure out how to add the RSS feed through firefox by using the bookmarks tab. Now I will instantly be able to view new posts through my yahoo page.
This may help - tips for setting up an RSS feed on Blogger

Yeah Wal*Mart has been deluging their stores with adds for it. I have not heard much good. I might watch it in a few months when it comes out on Starz.
Are you staying in Manila? I was under the impression that you were headed back to Canada.

All I know about it was the early preview of the rabbit playing the drums was unutterably cute, but I have zero desire to see a movie about it. :)

:) Yup, and I think it was a good thing. But at the time, the closing of the company and losing the job I'd loved for three years and moving across the country definitely seemed to suck! Now I'm trying to get the rest of my family down here! heck, my brother's marrying a Texan this summer...but they're staying up in Ohio for some crazy reason! O.o

I'm pretty much moved into the apartment in Alpharetta. I took one of our cats with me, and it's taking her a while to get used to the new situation. I think the cat likes all the extra attention she gets when I get back from work.
My boss took me to an Indian buffet on Monday, and I met several people in the department at lunch. We're going to play Rock Band on the department's XBox Friday night, and the boss is buying beer. Evidently, this is something they do periodically.
Since I'll be working in an area of code very similar to what I worked in at the job I left last year, it was nice to see some familiar stuff.
I hope you all are doing well, and I hope I didn't miss anything in the last, oh, 30 pages or so.

W/B Taig! Happy to see you have pretty much settled in. Seems like the job is going to be a good one.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to it based on what I've seen so far.
One thing I'm going to have to get used to is the age differential. A lot of the new hires are right out of college. I'm used to working with people pretty much my age. I figure as long as they're not on my lawn, we'll be good. :)

Very cool. I almost had a chance to visit with a previous job. Never did make it there and the company went out of business.

First math quiz. Five questions. Twenty points. Only twenty minutes and at the end of class, so you feel hurried to get it done because another class comes in 10 minutes.
Pretty sure I got three of them, meh on one, and one I completely bombed. It ended up being a trick question that did not dawn on me until I walked out of the building. I wanted to turn around and run back and ask if I can make a correction, but I knew better. It hung on my psyche all the way on the half-hour drive home. If I get 16 out of 20 pts, it's not the end of the world. 12 out of 20 pts and I'd dread it.
Why can't solving for X just be where the pirate's treasure is located? :P
