How old is Charlie now? What kind of warm liquids can you give the little ones? Milk? Boiling water/honey/lemon/scotch?

Old enough for brainnnnn fluid. :)

Scarab Sages

Charlie's doing better today. No fever. Eyes still nasty (especially the left one). But we're using the drops, and I'm staying home with him today.

And, oh yeah, on top of it all, his nose has been getting snotty overnight. So, for the last two mornings, I've been using the snot sucker on him - something he most definitely does not like....

But he's in a good mood at the moment - playing in his poopersaucer and watching Little Einsteins.

I hope he keeps feeling better and you enjoy the day with him.

I know your pain. I seem to be in the pool where my name always pops up for jury duty.

Sucks...

Oh, Good Morning everyone.

Dark Archive

I just had jury duty a year ago was not too bad. I always wear a suit and most times I never get selected ... I have always wondered why?

They especially love if you talk like Beavis.

Since I left the Air Force (13 years ago), I've never been called for jury duty. My wife has been called at least 5 times, though.

Taig, you were in the Air Force as well? What did you do, where were you stationed?

BP - sorry to hear about things being rough lately - hope everything starts getting better for you.

Aberzombie - Hope everything's getting better with the kiddo!

Moorluck - hello goodbye?!?!?

I like jury duty.

There's always one.

I was in for 8 years, and I pretty much did software development while I was in the Air Force. I was stationed at Offutt AFB, the remnants of Lowry AFB (Denver), and Brooks AFB.

I'd like to try it once, if only so I can be in a "12 Angry Men" situation, where I get to bludgeon the smarmy lead juror.

(That happened, right?)

Sorry your kiddo is sick. Glad he seems to be doing better. Sick little ones are hard on parents -- we feel so helpless. Hope he's back to eating solid brains soon.

I've never been. Gotten the notice a few times. Had to go to the courthouse once (didn't bring a book -- the most recent magazine they had there was from 6 years prior). But didn't even get to go to the back room to be decided on. I would think I would like it -- depending on the case...

Sorry to hear the baby zombie is sick. Heal up Charlie!

I'm with Treppa in that I love jury duty. It's in downtown Brooklyn for me, so I enjoy the trip and get to go to one of my favorite favorite comic book stores and see some gorgeous scenery. And I always always run into someone I know from college there.

So you know how a bunch of FaWTLies chipped in and got us a Target gift certificate as a wedding present?

We finally used it!! We now have a full set of beautiful stoneware dishes -- plates, bowls, coffee mugs, etc. And they ALL MATCH.

It's crazy, stuff like this makes me feel like I'm all grown up now. And I keep imagining Teter tot coming home from college or whatever and saying, "Oh yeah, I remember these plates!"

Thanks again everybody!! You guys really are the greatest.

I was pretty enthusiastic about doing it my most recent time, but then wound up on a child sex abuse case. That's not a kind of case I'd like to be on again.

Morning, Fawtlies.

Scarab Sages

Poor Charlie. His fever came back. Luckily, there is childrens Advil! Otherwise, he's been kinda ok.

Afternoon all.

RL has been busy this week. Sounds like everyone is hopping on things, good and bad.

Actually glad that work has gotten a bit busy, tho I fear it will be shortlived.

Well, Charlie's visit to the doctor took a suprising turn, when it was discovered that he was, in fact, made of awesomeness. Meanwhile, Nathan was shocked to learn that his good friends Sarah and Gary had not only gotten married over a year before, but that they had finally achieved their shared dream of world conquest. And, across town, Derek finally got that penguin he.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Penguins are practically chickens. I guess Charlie is still too little for chicken soup?

It's not really fun, but it's important that rational, intelligent, ethical people devote time to ensuring justice as best they can.

Lol thanks. We Libertarians have to stick together. After all, we can't trust the govt to help us out. Pass the help along and glad to see you back on the boards

Look at it from the bright side, if you weren't warned you can't have read the review.
