More often than you'd think, actually.

Scarab Sages

I was just looking over my aliases. Some of the have me going "WTF was I thinking?".

For example.......

Scarab Sages

Why is he formerly known as Henry?!?!

His parents liked the name, but as he grew up, he found that he preferred something else.

51.147913% of the time, it's pants. The odds were in my favor.

I can remember all the purposes for which mine were made... I just don't get opportune times to use some as much as others.

Hadron-colliders and hockey-sticks! That was a baaaad onion.

A Justin Bieber concert?

A thrash-metal Burt Bacharach tribute band concert.

*chops onions, melts butter, pours onions into butter, fries onions, adds minced meat, chops some white mushrooms and red bell peppers while the minced meat fries, pours chopped tomatos in a can on the onions and minced meat, adds the mushrooms, red bell peppers, and some bacon cubes to the mix along with tomato puré, adds spices, lets the whole thing simmer for two or more hours, serves with pasta*

Our pool team is named issues.

The standing joke is that our drinking team has a pool problem.

Reminds me of a joke about a local town here.

It's a quaint little drinking village with a fishing problem.

Another pool player!

I spend a lot of time on Friday evenings trying to achieve the ideal blood alcohol percentage to optimize my pool playing. It's a tricky business that requires a lot of practice...

(Fortunately, everyone else I play with is nearly as bad as I am-- we're all just in it to have fun and drink beer, mostly. :))

~sighs~ I just set up an apointment with the vet for Saturday to get the little rat, errr...., cat checked up and given the initial shots, ect. ~sighs again~ Damn it! Things wouldn't be so bad if I were not almost a paycheck behind and with car insurance being due at the end of the month. When will tax time get here so I can get caught back up again? ~sighs~

Our team is a hoot. I think our current tally is about 2 PhDs and 5 Masters degrees. We have some very interesting drunk discussions.

I used to take it very seriously and stress a lot, not so much anymore.

"Win or lose we came for the booze!"

I have a good friend who is all over the map accuracy wise with alcohol, but he finds his mellow spot where he shoots best with a little smoke brake in the car. ;)

I have another friend who has an amazing gift for shooting when he is completely hammered. He's a big dude, and the first time I watch him do this I thought he was going pass out on the table as he staggered up to shoot. He ran the table in 2 innings even though he could barely stand. I thought that this has to be a fluke, but then he broke and ran 6 or 7 balls. It's the damnedest thing to watch.

Neither of them are on our team now, but they were a lot of fun!

EDIT: Come to think of it everyone on our current team except for one person out of seven has played Pathfinder.

Wait...people play for other reasons?!?

In theory there's a competitive element. We went to Vegas for Nationals one year. That was a hoot!

Orthos, we are not sure if the brat is a boy or a girl yet. It is too young. Even now, both Karen and myself are wondering what happened to the kitten's mother. It is too young to be left alone. But that is a good idea for some names. ~grins~

Even at a month old, you should be able to look under the hood and determine the sex. Provided the kitten cooperates, mind you. :)

There would be much mischief if you called the cat Snowball.

Consider the source. Don't question it.
