Alleli closes her eyes and softly chants as she places both hands on the telescope. Golden light spills out from the gate key and cascades down the aiudara, then through the wire to the telescope. With a deep, chest-rattling hum, the telescope blasts a beam of light up into the sky.

Alleli grins and cries, “It’s working!”

Yet as she says it, the hum takes on a discordant note. Her smile falters as the telescope’s beam suddenly changes direction, refracting toward different points across the sky. The landscape itself begins to fuzz and shift, the stones around the aiudara remaining the same but everything else transforming. Images of alien beings and strange places— dragons in the snow, gelatinous blobs in candyfloss clouds, spindly angels soaring in a starry void—flicker past too quickly to catalogue.

“The aiudara’s broken loose,” Alleli shouts, her hands working frantically at the telescope. “It’s searching for a new connection, and trying to take this whole clearing with it. Hold on—we won’t have another chance at this!”

As Alleli struggles to control the aiudara, the portal locks temporarily onto worlds that aren’t Golarion.

Alleli adjusts something, and the flickering landscape suddenly locks in place. Akiton Cold red desert appears all around, broken up by delicate rock columns and high canyon walls. The gateway ruins now stand in the mouth of a canyon, at the bottom of which lies a strange contraption like an insect with canvas wings.

Forty feet away, a ratfolk in a wide-brimmed hat glares at you from the back of a giant red lizard. He rears his mount and shrieks, “This is my salvage, you too-tall sand-suckers!”

The amurrun hops down from the aidura to guard the telescope. He speaks words of power, "Ghairm mi fuachd stùc na beinne!" A ray of blue energy lances across the distance toward the ysoki.

"Stay back!" he warns the scavanger. "The tribe will be gone soon enough."

Daehalya sizes up the beast the ysoki is riding, then steps down and takes cover behind the wall of the platform.

Odioki is up.

Odioki casts an amped Warp Step to get in closer, and then tries to exploit a vulnerability before he fires his hand cannon at the ysoki.

Nurl leaps off of his gecko. "Exactly what other scavengers would say." He reaches for his bob pouch as Nicky aims his crossbow at the larger lizard. Nicky gets the impression that the ratfolk is panicked at your sudden appearance. He may back down but it would take something far more immediate than talking. Something along the lines of Calm Emotions

Onye freezes the ratfolks feet to the ground as it looks around in surprise. While the ratfolk doesn't have any known weaknesses Odioki works on creating his own fears. He fires a bullet inot the ysoki's thin leg, nearly snapping it in two.

The ratfolk reaches down, clamping a hand around the wound. "You won't all live trying to steal from me."

Daehalya recognizes the mounted lizard as a giant gecko. These roughly human-sized reptiles have amazing feet capable of clinging tenaciously to any surface. Giant geckos are typically docile and shy but can be aggressive when cornered or defending their territory.

The ratfolk pulls alchemical bob after alchemical bomb out of its pouch and tosses them at Odioki before giving himself some distance.

There wasn't a lot to notice here but yes I did have you notice about teh Ysoki being a bit more panicked and may back down with a calm emotions type effect.

Ezgara sends a burst of water across the dry landscape and the ysoki leaps out of the way just in time as he narrowly avoids it.

Nicky fires a bolt into the gecko's chest and the Ysoki face deepens with concern. "Carla!" He clutches the bolt and yans it free, breaking the shaft. Nicholo's quips don't seem to bother the Ysoki as he knows what his trash is worth. He doesn't have much time to respond back as he ducks under Onye's fist.

Daehalya sweeps teh Ysoki off of his feet, but he nimbly rolls out of the path as her staff cracks against the alien surface. "Tough way of showing you mean us no harm!"

"No harm if ysoki stayed back," Onye Dinta growls as his eyes begin to glow with a golden light. "Now is too late for ysoki." His fur begins to glow as he makes a sign with his hand. In a flash, the amurrun wearing a wooden tiger mask is replaced by an actual tiger.

The great cat snaps his jaws at the ysoki.

Nicholo fires a bolt at the ratfolk but it is just barely misses as it skims the Ysoki's cheek. Onye wildshapes into an actual tiger as he leaps onto the Ysoki's side, biting into its furry shoulder. Crit.

As the enemy come closer and Onye follows it, Nicky tries to talk it into surrendering.
Please RatFolk, I know I said some mean things, but please give up and surrender. I can get this UNBELIEVABLY Large tiger to stop chewing on you. You wait too long to surrender and you might just be a snack in it's stomach.

Nicholo seems to be making a small bit of headway. "Look man, you can have the stuff. Just don't kill....ARRGGHH!" The Ysoki screams as TigOnye leaps from the platform at the smaller Ysoki, knocking Nurl to the ground where he lies bleeding.

Daehalya thumps her staff against the gecko's head, knocking it unconscious.

As the pair are rendered uncombantant the scenery shifts once more as you hear Alleli tinker with the device. "Maybe if I do this." Just as the portal begins to shift the ladnscape another Ysoki dives past and drags Odioki to the ground. The pair grapple as you are vioently pulled to a new planet. Odioki reaches out as he tosses his pistol to Daehalya. "Hang onto this for me." He gets left behind as you find yourself in a new location.

Clouds of roiling yellow-green mist rush over the desert. The sandy ground falls away and is replaced with spongy, fleshlike hills of oozing blisters, dotted with pools of black goo and groves of what look like hair follicles. From the peak of a nearby ridge like a huge vein, an eyeless, black‑winged shape takes flight.

This is Aucturn, the mysterious living planet at the edge of Golarion’s solar system, home to nightmares and cults of the Outer Gods. Aucturn’s atmosphere is a soup of magical effluvium that has strange effects you.

The faceless winged beast circling the air dives down at Ezgara.

It misjudges the distance as the strange alien crashes into the ground beside the crazed elf.

The tiger is momentarily disoriented by the shift in landscape. He is left little time to mourn the loss of Odioki before a demon tumbles into their midst. He bounds onto to aiudara's platform and crosses in several powerful leaps until he lands behind the strange demon with a growl.

The tiger snaps at the fiend with his jaws.

Onye takes several powerful leaps as he lands behind the strange eyeless creature. As he leaps off of the Auidara though the creature's tail uncoils and snaps out at him.

Onye avoids the tail as he bites into the pitch black wing. Onye nearly misses as a second dark shape swoops overhead. A shrill cry pierces the air as a gnome falls from its clutches and bounces off of the Auidara platform. Both seem like they have seen better days.

"Odioki!" Daehalya calls, but it's too late as the scene shifts and her companion is gone. With no time to do anything about it as something new suddenly attacks, she rushes forward to help. She's not quite sure what's happening, but if Ezgara's being attacked, she can at least defend him.

Unfortunately, she trips in her haste as she's trying to juggle staff and gun, and has to climb back to her feet.

I'm kind of handwaving the pistol, assuming I have time to tuck it into my belt and refix my grip on my staff; hope that's OK!

Ezgara-bot utters a non-sensical complaint his situation a non-sensical argument explaining why standing behind Onye and Daehalya is the strategically sound plan before unleashing lightning on the two fiends. All while providing no thanks for Onye distracting the demon's tail while ironically decrying the lack of appreciation for his own interventions.

He exclaims, Where are we now?! Where is Odioki? Did he not make it? Nicky not exactly realizing that the atmosphere is poisonous or dangerous just yet. He sounds fully discombobulated by the sudden events.

Something tickles his mind. A cosmic answer pops into his mind.
Aucturn? Or maybe it's Achtung. Oh baby, what or who just fell from that thing's grasp? I think it's a gnome!

Nicky speaks aloud and on the return breath, he coughs as the poisonous vapors enter his lungs.
He looks to shoot at the flying creature that dropped the gnome.

Nicholo quickly aims back and forth before deciding to shoot at the slightly wounded night beast. His bolt slits through the creature's membrane of its wing.

Daehalya shoves Odioki's pistol into her beltloop as she slips to the ground, gettinga bit off balance from the sudden shift.

The gnome raises his head from the ground and looks around. He is pale, his hair stark white. His face is an emotionless mask, as if he absolutely expected to be here, in this unbreathable atmosphere, with these unknowable demons. He speaks in a flat monotone, his accent...Nidal? Ustalav? Hard to place...

Unsure of the nature of these beasts, these other people, or really anything, Grundle opts to unleash the power of his mind (◇) to try to bring some order to the chaos around them.

His eyes dart around, looking for a suitable projectile. He spies a rock(?) and launches it at the creature that unceremenoniously dropped him (yellow)--launches it with his mind (Telekinetic Projectile ◆◆) .

The strange gnome dropped from the sky and gets to his feet. His head rings from the blow and seems to reverberate into one of the sightless creatures as it screeches in pain.

She doesn't really have such a nice and expensive frame. I just lie to her so she'll shoot better and farther. It might have helped Odioki to talk to his boom-maker (gun) and lie to it a little. He couldn't hit squat! It was all sound- no fury.

Unsteady on his feet as the bizarre atmosphere begins to affect his senses once more, the tiger next to Grundle shimmers and shifts into an amurrun wearing a wooden tiger mask. The catfolk touches his wound, and a puff of ephemeral golden feathers erupts between his fingers as the wound closes.

"Onye Dinta has truly prowled to the far edges of the world," he says in a gravelly voice. He draws one of the javelins from over his shoulder.

The gate's magic pulses once more as its portal stretches out, fully enveloping you all causing the scene to change once more as you all are transported to the undead planet Eox!

The grotesque living landscape blinks away, replaced by a dead plain of blackened and cratered stone. Where the sky once hung overhead is now only the starry black of space. Nearby, cracked bones litter the blasted foundation of a ruined building. In the distance, a delicate palace rises from the rock, its walls formed from giant, fused bones. Wind howls into the arch of the aiudara from all directions.

This is Eox, an apocalyptic world ruled by undead who, in life, burned away their planet’s atmosphere. A pair of undead sit in the ruined structure chatting with long dead inanimate bones of past loved ones. "One day we shall see you soon..." They look up as you arrive. "Clatter, you see this. We take them warmbloods prisoner and the Bone Sage's will surely reward us."

Daehalya notices something odd. Not all of the bones in the pile are inanimate as some begin to stir. This is Alvarius.
