Transplant= Someone born above the Mason Dixon who has moved to the South for whatever reason.
Yankee= Someone born above the Mason Dixon who has moved to the South with the sole purpose of pissing and moaning about how much better the North is, and overall pissing us off.
See I was always told when I lived in the south that:
Yankee = A northerner that moves to the south.
Damn Yankee = A northerner that stays in the south.

Morning FAWTLiers!
To further muddy the definition, if you live in New England, the place where the term originated, you are not considered a 'Yankee' unless you are the descendant of the Puritans that came over in the 17th-18th Centuries. I as a mongrel Scots-Irish do not count as a true Yankee
Then you have the baseball team, which is hated beyond belief in these parts...

I posted this in advice, but I figured I'd through it up here too.
Two of our Serpent Skull characters are from an Andoran Orphanage of Cayden Cailean. My ranger rogue is a devout follower of Cayden Cailean and Diane's inquisitor serves Milani. They were raised in the same orphanage, but I can't find any details for temples and the like in Andoran.
I presume Almus and Augustana would be large enough to have such an orphanage and a temple of Milani. Is there any cannon information on this?
I could see these as either gothic structures or even some small basic church. Keep in mind Milani started as a "saint" in another religion. Old shrines make sense, maybe a new big modern cathedral does as well. But old and big does not.

Well that's because the baseball team is linked to those darn puritans. ;)

Aaaaargh! Computer woes part...you know what? Screw it, I stopped counting a while back. So the new computer has a virus masquerading as a security program and I have no idea how to get rid of it. [Headdesk]
i had and still have parts of that virus on my old computer in the back. There's a way to get rid of it, but it's no fun.

Of course, from where I'm sitting they're all a bunch of southern softie yankees. ;)

When I wrote my Wayfinder-thing about Milani I ended up with the feeling that her worshipers aren't really the temple-building kind - they're rebels, hiding in the dark, gathering in small, close-knit groups in someone's basement, and so on - though I guess if there's anywhere there'd be one it'd be in Andoran.

By the way, I just googled ‘Milani’ to make sure I had my facts right (couldn’t really remember the details on her) ... You get some very interesting (and borderline NSFW) images come up on a google search of that name ...
I oogled her too. Definitely got wood. I almost lost one of my fluency in three languages when I was branching through the gallery.

And yet, no one is interested in finding out who Katie McGrath is? Shame.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales:
The Siblings and The Ogre
Once upon a time, a brother and sister became lost while playing in the woods near their home. As they searched for the path that would take them home, they passed into a clearing and suddenly found themselves trapped in a cage. They had stumbled into an ogre's trap!
As they sat crying in the cage, waiting for the ogre to appear, the brother said to his sister, "Do not worry, for I shall trick this ogre into releasing me, and then I shall rescue you."
Along came the ogre, extremely delighted to see that his trap had snared two such morsels. "I shall eat well tonight", he declared.
"Ho great ogre," cried the brother, "If you release me, I promise I'll return with six goats from my father's farm in return for my sister."
"Agreed." said the ogre, and he released the brother.
As the boy got to the edge of the clearing he turned and said, "Hey you ugly pusbag, I changed my mind. Go ahead and eat that little b@*+$."
So the Ogre did.
The boy returned home and told his parents that his sister had run off with a mysterious knight.
The End?

Looks like we need to worry about Seattle. They're slated for another round of snow. Driving is nasty there in the winter with all those hills.

Lynora, try intalling AVG antivirus and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, there are some things that will work. I will try to look them up when I get home. Do a web search from a safe computer with the details of the scam. That should also lead you to the fix.
It's all good. Actually I have AVG free and this little bugger snuck right past it multiple times. But by pure dumb luck after several hours of trying fixes that didn't work AVG finally prevailed against the stupid virus. Apparently five restarts did the trick. I was having issues starting in safe mode. There's some weirdness with the function keys. *shrug* It's a new computer and I haven't figured out all the quirks yet.

I am very curious, if you happen to just lurk here, for good or ill, can you like this post. I just want to see how many people lurk. I have noticed on various threads people mention this one who never post, so my curiosity is up.If that sentence made any sort of linguistic sense?
Or hey just post saying long time lurker first time poster ;)

Lynora, you might also want to scan the computer in safe mode. I also have a suspicion that the paid version of AVG will do a better job at removing some of this BS that lurks on the computer.

I'm leaning toward Augustana, but I reckon either is fine.
