Bleh. I think I have a mild case of bronchitis and a sinus infection again. Curse those lovable little bundles of allergens, also known as kittens.

My wife is worried that I love My Little Pony. I have no idea why. It's such an adorable show. A bit heavy handed with the morals, but I would love to watch such a show with my kids. And I love Pinkie Pie, she's so cute.
If you'd like you can watch it with my kids, just let me know where to Fedex them. >:)

I got an updated laptop yesterday and spent all afternoon and evening transferring info. But the new one is about 2-3 lbs lighter. Which means less back strain in carrying it to games. Anyway good luck and happy computing.

Trust me, the painting already had the clap. Anytime you see "abstract expressionist" as a descriptor for an artist, it usually means "vomits paint on a canvas with no artistry or skill"...

My backup is not there. My external hard drive has all of these files I made to back stuff up....except that they are all empty.....everything is gone... all of my itunes (and there was a lot of it...is there any way to transfer stuff back from my ipod?), all of my word documents, all of my photos....everything is gone. Which means that all I can do is hope that there is enough left of my old hard drive to extract this stuff. Not looking forward to paying for that, but don't seem to have other options. >.<

Yes, congrats on the victory Jess. As a fellow homeowner, I love fixing/replacing things around the house. My most proud accomplishment was replacing 3 light fixtures: one in the kitchen, one in the dinning area, and one outside the front door.(91 is one of my favorite numbers because you may think it's prime, but it's prime factorization is 7 and 13. Number are funny like that.)
Multiply that by 11, and you get 1001. It's soooo cool! (Or not, I guess, but I think it is)
Congrats on your moral victory.
Being mechanically inclined is definitely a boon to home-ownership... however, being a horrible procrastinator is not. :-/

It was in the sixties today. It was nice being able to go to the library, but it worries me. Should it really be this hot in winter in the mountains? What if it's a sign of unpleasantness in the climate to come?

The modern art scene is more about how much b@!+~%+! you can spin and less about actual talent. Trust me, I've been there.

Re: data extraction, can't help you there, sorry.
Re: ipod retrieval; if you can locate the freeware application "sharepod", you can run it from your ipod while its attached to the pc, and should let you browse/manipulate the files therein. No guarantees on whether itunes will recognise them properly, but at least you can move the bytes around.
