LOL! No, but I dislike that painting, although not as much as her evidently.

I think Kelsy is closer to Denver than I.

Now the question is, do I spent an extra $70 to get a self cleaning oven?

Diane likes the self cleaning, but I tend to scrub our gas range the old fashioned way.

Jess Door wrote:

YES

Edit: Kudos from me as well on your homeownership victory. I like replacing stuff myself, but I draw the line at water and electricity. My wife wants me to replace our shower, and I am holding out for a professional.

Self cleaning sounds like such a good idea....but every time I've had one it's been a disaster. I usually end up cleaning it the old way anyhow. But in all fairness, I rent and am at the mercy of whatever cheap appliances the landlord buys so my experiences are not likely to be typical. :)

I'm really tempted to go with manual clean. I use my oven a lot, but I've yet to have a boil over. The question then becomes resale value of the home. Still thinking. I"ll have a look see in person and decide. I think the self cleaning oven is also smaller (the oven itself, the full range is the same size), which could make a big difference to me.

Don't you talk about the future Mrs. Anklebiter like that!

EDIT: @CC. Ms. Door, of course, can say whatever she pleases.

Home ownership is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure! Good job. But remember, if you can't do something, you obviously need more tools. I'd start with either a Sawzall or Dremel Mototool. I've no clue if they would be useful to you, but they're way cool.

+100

you can never have enough tools, I have a Dremel....never found a use for it of course, but it's great
Modifying metal figs?

I find many uses for it well making terrain. It works great as a mini lathe, for example.

Hey, at least as a member of the Glorious Goblin Box-Tossing and Wagon Driving Guild you have good insurance! Stock up on some Eurythromycin and have a wild time!

Yippee! I have a ride Sunday for more Kingmaker goodness.

Woot! New computer is here......and now the long setup begins. Since my old computer is melted on the inside I can't do the easy data transfer and have to install everything the hard way.

I live right next to Denver at the moment. I could be there within 30 minutes if I had to be.

I read about that in the newspaper. I don't really have any strong opinions other than that it's really odd.

So, Kelsey, we're cool, right? No animosity from that fracas in that other thread, right?

I've never met the woman :/

Which other thread? I think there were multiple battles. That's why I've given up political and religious debate here. With the way I get, it's 15 different kinds of not worth the trouble.

Well, everyone in the neighborhood was angry with Barry after he fed a stray dog that then kept hanging around, getting into everyone's garbage, and digging up Mrs. Dover's prized flowerbeds. Meanwhile, an attempt at home repair nearly ended in disaster for Daniel, after he accidently piped his gas line into his kitchen sink. And, across town, hundreds of escaped penguins caused a....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

Dremels do have a lot of utility. I've worked on many small projects with mine.

He Anklebiter when you meet her can you find out why she decided to do that to a painting? Imquiring minds want to know.

Good vittles, love an' kissin'
Are waitin' at the end of my ride

Move 'em on, head 'em up
Head 'em up, move 'em on
Move 'em on, head 'em up

Cut 'em out, ride 'em in
Ride 'em in, cut 'em out
Cut 'em out, ride 'em in

Something suggests alcohol might have been involved.

I know, that's what I"m thinking. Every time I've had a problem (not with this oven yet), I've just cleaned it.

::shrug::

But $70 isn't TOO bad, because of the new year's appliance sales.

So where are you thinking of taking her on your first date? I suggest staying away from places that have art ... at least in the short term.

In her defense, the painting does remind one of toilet paper.

You sure it was not the other way around. I mean she is not what I would consider attractive and all the tats makes it much worse, but damn that is an ugly painting.

How goes work, CJ? Are you also feeling better today?

The Exchange

So we did our annual shift bid 9 months early. While I was at the top of the group I was not so high that I wasn't worried about the shift I would get. I ended up with almost the same shift I have now. I feel like a huge weight is now off my shoulders. I just have a way early lunch now.

The Exchange

Nope feeling worse, But I had to show up today. Now I am so close to the end of the day I am forcing myself to stay.

The future Mrs. Anklebiter does not have gonorrhea! Cut it out, you guys! I'm serious!

Honestly, her ink doesn't look that great, but please keep in mind this is a drunken mugshot. Not conditions conducive to photogenicity.

I think I might have just made up a word.

EDIT: Put in exclamation points to stress how serious I am.
