You ever do any d6 Star Wars?

yes.

D6 Star Wars was the first Star Wars I played. One of our regular players has ran many sessions games but now a newer member of our gaming group wants to run d20 Star Wars. This has our normal D6 Star Wars GM tickled pink because he has only rarely gotten to play Star Wars.

Side Note:
The first time I played D6 Star Wars was back around the '92-'93 school year or maybe '91-'92. The game was fairly serious and long running despite our silly naming deices. My character was an alien student of the force (looking sort of like an illithid) named Boyardi. Other characters Ham Salad and Chewy Nougat.

Twas my first RPG. I love d6 Star Wars, and miss playing it regularly. My view on the Force comes from this game, and I think Lucas needs to pull the fluff out of his head and start reading this stuff and make Star Wars great again.

Nekkid Star Wars elitism for TOP!!!!

I practically had a cow the first time I heard the term mitichlorians (sp?)

He is just using it as a money machine now. Made a few "changes" and re-released them all over again.

But, yes, I think the d6 game is great. My only complaint is that our gamer who GMs d6 loves the rebellion era to the exclusion of all others and doesn't allow force-users/jedi because there basically weren't any floating around during that period. :( At least there weren't until a lot of books came out...

Just added the pineapple and the baste (made from brown sugar and maple syrup with a touch of dijon mustard) to the half-ham with bone.

This will go with:

broccoli casserole
baked beans
potato salad
dinner rolls

Problem is that I think my food will portion out to feed roughly eight people but I think we will have ten not counting two kids. :(

Gah! I need HD to activate my e-mail address again. I waited too long to confirm his request.

Crimson Jester, can you ask HD to activate my email address again?

Well I can try, he is almost to his last time available for it however.

It's time for beef jerky experiment #2! This time: The Slicening. I think the previous experiment I cut the pieces too thick. They were still good but not precisely what you think of when you think of beef jerky. This time, I used a small roast and put it in the freezer for an hour before slicing. Also, I'm using the sample jerky marinade + crazy white powder that came with the dehydrator instead of just throwing a bunch of worcestershire and soy sauce on there. In several hours I should have jerky!

Sorry to spoil your little plot, Mr. DM.

I can truly empathize with that. Fortunately, from past experience rather than present.

Nay I say!

Had you two completely taken over then every thread in OTD would have had its most recent post by one of you two guys but there are threads in the OTD last posted in by other posters days before.

Again, Nay I say!

Note: Not trying to run the actual naysaying into the ground so much as that I liked the rhyme and I was running the rhyme into the ground.

Oh, one more thing.

As I figured the potato salad was blah cause the potatoes tasted odd. *shrug*

But, the broccoli casserole and the baked beans and the ham were all a big success.

AT the bazaar on base today there was an old dude doing Kanji of people's names. I had him do the Charlie's name on a cool gold piece of paper in a little cardboard frame. That's one of the boy's gifts. The other is a onsie with a ninja on it.

The wife is gonna get a cool jade dragon statue.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna pick up a sake set for myself.

Had a good day yesterday. Went to renn for the last weekend of the season. Picked up a dagger we'd put a deposit on earlier. It's really awesome. And got yet another print of a dragon from Bill Stolpin. And I bought some dragon earrings I'd had my eye on since the first weekend. I skipped lunch a few days to make sure I'd have the money to buy them. Bryce got to be the audience volunteer during a juggling show which he thought was the coolest thing ever since they were throwing the pins right past his head. A good time was had by all in spite of the cold. :)

And then I discovered a new favorite restaurant as we tried Tomokum noodle bar for dinner. Steamed pork buns and ramen ftw. :)
Although I also discovered that sake is sneaky. I'd never had it before and by the time I realized how drunk I was, well it was well past too late. Feeling a bit hungover today. Ugh.

Also happy birthday to Jude. :)

And now to go get some food. And aspirin. Definitely need the aspirin.

I just had a great dinner in my dad's garden.
self-gathered, roasted sweet chestnuts with flavored quark (I think curd is the english name) in the evening sun.
we had a cold, rainy summer but now we have very hot suny weather in autumn, it's great
