I thought that was the other way around? Hmmm, maybe not.

GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So the ongoing problem in my office is to do patient reports and filing. But for some damn reason the 3 days a week I work there I do every bit of paperwork in the damned office. Literally the 4 other employees don't do any of it. SO I got chewed out by one of the doctors for not having a report finished when I had been off for 4 days. Basically the file had lain on my desk since my last day of work and the freaking bastards didn't touch it til I came back to do it. So I got chewed out for other peoples laziness, they're supposed to do the paperwork too but they do nothing!!!!

Synesthesia is basically any sense which does not normally respond to certain stimuli responding in place of the appropriate sense.

I don't know how people can be so damned lazy. I work 2 jobs get next to no days off, and I'm a grad student on top of that. How the hell can a person just sit at their job and do nothing?

I missed several people on the interstate this morning that I probably should have hit. ;)

Mornin' young people...ooo my back!

I caught a glimpse of a lame political thread this morning. I have to do that every once in a while to reaffirm why I don't read them.

I had to give up on the office coffee. I think they were trying to kill me.

Back pain is no joke. Some days I wake and up and it's all "oh oh oh OH OH!" and my 20 year old fiance just doesn't get it.

Ross is probably off playing lunch money instead of working, that slacker.

Sorry to hear your back's out.

It's dark roasted Rwandan from a Bunn. M-mmm. I had to give up faculty lounge coffee. I don't know what s%%@ they started putting in their this year (also, the machine is "new" and might be part of the problem), but it's horrifically disgusting. Now I pay Subway for one or two cups a day. Jerky work.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

You know I actually didn't know that until this morning. On the radio they were reading the random facts about her and her life.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

The new machine lacks the decades of fossilized caffeine coating the inside workings. It's as if you're only drinking one cup of coffee at a time, which is clearly unacceptable.

It's worth the extra bit for a decent cup of coffee. I don't think I could live without coffee anymore.

***RANT DETECTED IN THIS SECTOR, WARNING, WARNING, RANT INCOMING***

Dear god training is horrendous. We have weekly training on Thursday mornings and I swear to the powers that be, if I have to sit through much more of it I'm liable to kill myself. No one gets anything from it, other then a growing desire to jam white-hot metal into their ears in an attempt to end the pain.

We have On the Job Training for a reason - it's how you learn this nonsense. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, but making some give a 30 minute presentation on one of it's chapters should be outlawed by the geneva convention.

Mostly I spend the time doodling in a half-hearted attempt to prevent the overwhelming lonvecraftian sanity loss that occurs every thursday.

It's so bad that I can't even lie to them about it. They ask me "What did you think, Nate?" and my response is inevitably something akin to "Well, it was a bit like dipping my testes in a jar of grease and lowering them slowly, slowly, into a pool of starving piranna" and "No no no, I'm learning lots in here, I'm learning how to feign interest and how to pretend not to be falling asleep".

Rant concluded.

Do you have your own office? Could you put a machine in there?

I bring my coffee from home in the mornings, but some people here also have French presses that they use, because the break room coffee is so horrible.

You can overcome poor genes through clean living. Avoid the examples of your forebears. Especially your father.

Actually, I hate to break it to you, but when it comes to my particular case of back problem, the Dr assured me it was all genetic and no significant environmental factors. But, if I just pulled it this time as I hope, yeah, some environmental stuff.

The psychology chair and I ate our sandwiches outside yesterday in the cafe area. Then we took a walk around the campus lake/pond as the sun beat down on us. Getting too hot, we stopped in the Living Learning Garden, where we were over-shaded by trees and surrounded by blooming fauna, but we could still see the sun shining off the water as the breeze and the shade did its work.

Just do what I do. Drink, eat, smoke, and <redacted> whatever you want. Just don't worry about it, I aced my last physical, and I'm the guy who thinks bacon chili cheeseburgers are part of a complete breakfast.

My partner picked up some new earphones for my iPod yesterday, because he knew mine were wearing out (the right one barely produced any sound). It's amazing what new earphones can do - everything sounds completely different.

Edit: Especially when naked, apparently.
