IMMEDIATELY QUESTION A MAP WITH THAT MUCH EXTRA WATER, AND YET LOUISIANA AND FLORIDA STILL EXIST?
Meanwhile, portions of two mountain ranges are under water.
It's funny how bad it feels to see the map so casually cut through the Rockies (and the Appalacians, despite actively taking up so much more of them), nevermind the literal Italy and Greece hyper-distinctive coastlines (and a random Black Sea stuck in the middle of the great lakes).
agh the more i look at the picture the more insane it drives me; does seriously no one recognize cyprus
But the fact that they left both Florida and Louisiana just felt so odd. I kept wanting to "help" by erasing them, despite the fact that the map is just... dumb. It's like, "I... I can help..."

It's amazing being "on the other side" of the hiring process, reviewing my managers questions, and realizing just how many of them are on the "most hated questions EVER" list because everyone thinks they're traps, when they're really just, "Give us an idea as to your personality."
Stuff like:
- "What do you like least about the position you're applying for?"
- "What causes you stress at work?"
- "What do you want in a manager?"
We really want to know, because we're looking for someone we can work with for the next 10 years. We're not trying to "trap" anyone. We're just not trying to make anyone regret joining us.

The fact that I will still be required to actually work.
- "What causes you stress at work?"
Really dumb users. Really dumb co-workers. People who dont RTFM. Walking PBKACs.
- "What do you want in a manager?"
Someone who understands that sometimes I need to go into the supply closet to scream.

I have finished the main story of Borderlands 3. It wasn't bad, though the big bads were rather so-so. Funnily enough, they reminded me of the twins from Far Cry New Dawn—another game I received as a gift from NobodysHome.
Still, it was a good, fun game, and I still have multiple DLCs to go through.

I swear, Steam and its whole, "Oh, you're buying this game? Here are all the people you know who have it on their wish list" interface.

It was an 80%-off bundle with Far Cry 5 for which I was short a few dollars previous summer.

There was this amazing kid at Aikido of Berkeley: in his late teens, but absolutely willing to hang out with/play with kids of any and all ages, and treated them all with respect, and like they were all human beings. He spent hours with the kids.
I always looked at him and thought, "D***. If my kids grow up to be like him, I'll be d****d proud."
Fast forward 15 years.
Impus Major was asked to do his first baby-sitting gig a couple of weeks ago.
NobodysHome: How did it go?
Impus Major: Well, she was really excited that I was going to be baby-sitting her, so we ran around the house like crazy for a couple of hours, jumped on the beds, climbed a bunch of stuff, and then when she got tired we played some bizarre incarnation of CandyLand where the rules kept changing every couple of minutes, but she seemed to really like it...
Mission accomplished.
(And yes, I bring this up because the Fake Russian was decrying the dearth of babysitters under $30 an hour in the area, and I promptly volunteered Impus Major for half that price.)

I found a new area in Red Dead Redemption 2 and promptly helped this lady escape from a police wagon. Thus ensuring I had a bounty there.
In fairness, she did say "please".
I went to the post office and paid off the bounty (it was only 5 dollars) and walked out of the post office and promptly shot (accidentally) the first person I tried talking to.

Uncertainty about duties or responsibilities not explicitly shown to me but will be required by me to do.
- "What causes you stress at work?"
System failures, lack of or outdated reference documents, and people who should know better.
- "What do you want in a manager?"
Actively gives constructive feedback and doesn't wait for it to be requested. Stays away from irritating buzzwords like "culture" and just tells me how to do things without treating me like they're gonna hurt my feelings.

Doubtful. You are the one that managed, somehow, to get your blame time deferred until 2022. Who did you bribe? I want answers!!!

Billy goats are for dog food.
I know this because we used to sell our excess billy goats to Purina.
