God keeping them at a distance from me is probably good for my mortal soul. I hates thieves, man. Hates them.

On Tuesday, I drove to pick up my car at the shop. It was 100+ degrees, it's been 100+ degrees here for more than a month, barring one day two weeks ago,
and I gave them a bunch of money and stepped out of the door, and there was a cool breeze, and storm clouds, and the breeze was dusty because a lot of crap gathers up on the ground when it doesn't rain for months, but it was so nice; it was maybe 90 degrees all of a sudden. So nice.

That's the way I see it with those dudes. Especially Chris Christie and Bloomberg. They both (rightly or wrongly) got called out during the winter when the northeast got hit by that big ass snow storm. So they wanted to make up for it by seeming large and in charge.
Doesn't explain Nutter's overreaction here in Philly. Normally I like the dude, but he want a little hysterical this time.
And the media just plain overhyped everything. It worries me that, next time, maybe people will be thinking "naah, it won't be that bad."

Hope they catch those sonsofb$&+*es, dude. I remember one time, years ago, my brother's then girlfriend got her purse stolen in the mall. It took here about 20-30 minutes to get to my parent's house, and in that time the thieves charged about $500 worth of stuff to one of her credit cards.

I'm still a little miffed over in my area. Like I said in the other thread, Coney Island got flooded badly, as did a few other areas, but the thing is that these areas ALWAYS flood, and the water receded as per normal. I won't be pissed until I see what the extent of the damage was in my friends' areas and how easy it is to get to work. I found an inner tube for the bike(it is so awesome how I have these things lying around!! I should buy one every time I get paid to have a backlog in case of emergencies! And I noticed that the Hayaikaze-kai doesn't squeak anymore when I mount and ride her, so I'm thinking the seat was improperly adjusted the last time I took it out...let's see what today's ride holds), so I'll be riding in today. Here's hoping there isn't any broken glass or anything...

Mine too! So, how often did you die? Every session, or every other session? Was your GM old school and insisted you return at level 1 every time?

This is week 3 of school.
Here they don't start school for the little ones until after labor day. There's a law preventing it. It's supposed to help tourism, but it's annoying because they end up being stuck in school so late in the year and it means my son's school breaks are always a week off of mine.

Interestingly enough, the lube that was on the pole dried up. It took quite a bit of work to slide it back in the hole as a result, but she has been as quiet as an owl on the downglide ever since.

So Kansas, based on the Kansa Indians/Natives meaning "people of the south winds." Did you know, that the native tribal names were very rarely the ones they called themselves but were generally the ones other tribes called them. Mostly derogatory names. Gives a whole new meaning to southwind doesn't it?[/the more you know...]
