There are places where you can talk about this kind of thing, CrimJ. Places were everybody knows your name...and you can talk over a slice of pie.

So, Lunalynx, the next time you see Cheetara, if you like, um, happen to mention what a cool guy I am or something, that would be okay.

CrimJ, do you need a group hug?

The Exchange

Nah I'm good.

It's like watching someone talk about cars, that is neither a mechanic nor has a drivers license and, yet feel they are an expert about cars, because they know what a Subaru is.

Or has seen a few chop socky flicks and thinks they are a martial arts expert.

In retrospect it is a bit sad and pathetic really.

Don't scorn the power of the Hug, bro.

Funny think is, even though I don't know what you are talking about, I know exactly WHAT you are talking about. Idiocy: it can be ignored, prayed for, quarantined, or beaten to death with a blunt instrument, but it cannot be engaged.

Isn't this the premise behind Top Gear? ;)

Well the American version, yes.

Does said hug end with a wedgie?

*'hugs' the plant man's leg*

There's plenty more where that came from!

I think in this case, I'll go with "beat to death with a blunt instrument." Then he'll have met real wood. Heh.

I have a new love in my life.

And her name is:
Crossroads Diner

The Exchange

Am I the only person around who is NOT looking forward to a cat race?

Sad: I had to really think about your post, CrimJ. I thought, "Do people really race cats?"

I don't see them being in my Golarion games. Maybe I'd feel better about them somewhere else. And I'd totally make an exception for Cheetara, in case she's reading.

The Exchange

I do not mind, and even like the idea of a limited region where a unique race was formed through arcane or divine magics. But it should be very limited and specific.

The Exchange

Yes, the grand catnip races, held bi annually in west fork!!!

Cheetara wins!

Until of course it's shut down for illegal use of laser pointers.

They always have to impose those arbitrary rules on us. Sigh.

On our way back down California way...

We stopped last night in Medford, OR, and stayed at a really odd hotel. It looks like it was quite the destination sometime around 1975. Now it has big empty ballrooms and hardly any staff. Somehow it was still well-maintained and had a high end feel, even though it was crazy cheap. It was like staying in an old relic.

We passed through the town of Yreka, CA, today, which appears to have been an old mining town in the 1850s and has little changed since then.

You see some crazy places on road trips.

Ahem.

You missed it. Earlier, somebody said "wood."

Now, get back below the earth where your kind belong before I bring the oceans over much the of inhabited world. You do know those quakes were me waking up, right? I think I'll ride Irene up the coast and raise some hell.

I'm not a ghoul. I'm a zombie. We're supposed to be up top for the zombiepocalypse

My brother had seizures all morning so they have him on meds for that. Other than that, it has been a holding pattern with any chance of survival. I'll know tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Gotta call work and make sure my shift is covered for the late evening.

Thank you for the support and well wishes.

I found the Shire. It is in Northern California.

Sorry, man. It's gonna get called on account of weather. Better luck after 2012. (I.e., this is just the warm up.)

Very sorry: hang in there. He was prayed for by name at the Cathedral here. Let us know how he/you are doing.

Thanks Mairkurion. He looks healthier and has better color to his skin tone. However, he's still comatose and under medication do to seizures. He being shipped to neurology for more testing and evaluation. It's a holding pattern.

Tomorrow is another day of course. Gonna unwind and read comics for the remainder of the night. Take care everybody.

Another day is another chance for life. I hope that it is a chance that flowers for your brother. I am likewise unwinding after a long day and getting a mix of good and very bad news. I'm doing it by watching Priest: so far, it seems an odd mix.

What do you call that moment when you're about to kill a hobbit and an elf shoots an arrow through your face?
