Hi Mairkurion, I hope the heat is not treating you too harshly.

I think I'd die of heatstroke long before I ever reached the border of Texas if I tried to travel south.

Hell it has been in the low to mid 90s in Minneapolis so you may not even make it across the Canadian border.

May not even have to do that, Toronto's been sweltering and humid all summer somewhere between 95- 104 F all summer and humid. Don't ask me why that place is always hot in the summer.

Its been mid to upper 70s the last few days in the Seattle area...and it was like 58 at one point last week...so uh...I'm sorry so many of you are suffering.

Well my wife and boys left today via car for Indianapolis and a certain convention being held there. I will be flying in tomorrow to meet them. By 8:15 am Thursday morning, I hope we have begun slaying bad guys.

Oh, that sucks. I have had to deal with that a few times and it always seems to be over things that you would think people can hammer out. Well I hope it turns around or resolve quickly so it won't linger.

Sorry to hear that, Jess. Maybe things will fall back together once people get away, cool down, and think things over for a bit.

Games should not come between friends.

It's still 79.5 in my condo, except right by the thermostat and other cool spots. Ugh.

You?

Yeah. Bless our pointy heads. (Cantankerous human beings, that is.)

It's winter for me, and we are having a rather pleasant week temperature and weather-wise.

Sympathies to Jess and all the heat-struck people.

26 degrees (Celsius) in the shade? This is supposed to be Sweden, not some frickin' rainforest!!

Fortunately its been quite a long time since I’ve had to deal with that sort of thing ... last major blow up in a gaming group was probably more than 10 years ago for me. The only real ‘drama’ lately has been people having to drop out due to moving away or real life commitments.

Real life commitments!? Where are people's priorities?

I was just visiting San Francisco and I needed a jacket the whole time.

There's a happy medium there somewhere.

Grrrrrr for the first time in a loooong time I am seriously considering having my character kill another players character....

Argh ....

The only consolation I can give myself is that when I pre-ordered the book on the first day, I'm getting the PDF at no additional cost.

But still .... argh.

Why, 'Argh'? I ordered from Frog God months ago. I don't know about first day, but it was close. Check your email for a message dated around the time you pre-ordered titled, "Receipt and Registration Confirmation‏

". It included your password and a link for the download.

Grand Lodge

Many of us who ordered before they had the PF/S&W buttons separate had to answer an email with what version we want, therefore our links are not yet functional.

Three of my fellow Flagons and Dragons podcasters will be there. The most distinctive is Jason - long hair, glasses, and a left arm covered in tattoo (red dragon, flames, and I think a burned dude).

If you have any gifts for me, you can give it to them.

Scarab Sages

It's not so bad here in Phiily temp-wise. I think we had highs in the 80s yesterday.

Grand Lodge

Yeah, I think we maxed at 130 degrees this week. Only during midday tho. It's only 120 in the mornings. :)

Scarab Sages

Is that a dry heat?

Nah, the game didn't. Certain behaviors in a long standing member finally brought a quorum to the "stop this, dude, or we can't play with you anymore" point. Some broken promises and lies later, we followed through. I volunteered to be point man on informing said member, because some others didn't want to have to SAY it - and he deserved to be informed, rather than just "not invited".

I knew it would be unpleasant. Knowing doesn't mitigate the unpleasantness.

Exactly my situation. Got it and replied. Now waiting.

That second hand sure moves slow.

That stinks and sorry it had to come down to you breaking the news, never fun dealing with that sort of issue. Especially sucky that you were the only one to tell this individual, great that you stood up and voulnteered but stinky that you had to do it. My sympathies, hopefully it will work out.

So yeah, had to show up hours early for work, but hey I wont be late. Taking the time to read, something I have been unable to do lately. Thanks 'Puffin and others for recommending A canticle for Leibowitz interesting book so far. Although the main character is dumb as a board, its a unique twist on things.

The Exchange

Fighting fatigue, I had to walk around everywhere, well and use public transportation, to get to the places I needed to. Way too damn hot, although seeing what TOZ is dealing with I should shut up, however it was way too hot for me. Too bad nothing turned out well yesterday. I hate credit ratings.

The Exchange

Well here is to bad luck for if not for it, I would have no luck at all. I figure I am saving up enough that the lottery should be good to me someday.

The Exchange

and enough of that pity potty. How is everyone else. Good I hope. Or at least improving. Prayers and well wishes to all.

The Exchange

Think I shall have a mini blitz.

The Exchange

Shades of A.Zombi.

The Exchange

Did you know that yesterday was national Ice cream sandwich day?

The Exchange

And Sunday is friendship day.

The Exchange

the 10th is S'mores day.

The Exchange

the 13th left handers day. Of which I wonder why, but then think, Bruce Campbell and all is right.

The Exchange

the 18th is national cup cake day.

The Exchange

and finally the 26th is Dag day. I am sure Uri, and SP will use the day to lavish their dogs with love.

The Exchange

Did you notice, that though the month is named August, as in great, it is hot and boring? Hell on earth?
