OK!!! To all my FAWTLY brethren who have attended a PaizoCon:
I am making plans (i.e. saving up cash) to attend next year. So I have some questions for those who have been there/done that (or Paizo employees), so to speak....
1. Starts on a Thursday, correct?
2. Has it been the same hotel the last two years? If so, which one?
3. What is the cost of the tickets for the Con?
4. I've heard the banquet is separate, so how much for those tickets as well?
5. When do these tickets go on sale?
6. When will the dates for the next one be announced?
7. What is your name?
8. What is your quest?
9. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
1. The Con starts on Friday, but you really don't want to miss the Meet and Eat Thursday evening.
2. Yes. Coast Bellevue.3. $35.
4. $25.
5. February/March.
6. Shortly before tickets go on sale.
7. Moophistopheles.
8. It's not the journey, it's the destination.
9. Don Knotts.

Very good! I kind of knew the Thursday start was the meet and greet, but wanted to confirm. You may now cross the bridge.
Incidently, is the $35 cost for the Con per day, or for all three days?

1. Starts on a Thursday, correct? Yes. With school, I've usually only gotten there on a Friday.
2. Has it been the same hotel the last two years? If so, which one? Coast Bellevue Hotel. You can book rooms for the Paizo block, which they reserve for attendees.
3. What is the cost of the tickets for the Con? I don't remember!
4. I've heard the banquet is separate, so how much for those tickets as well? I don't know, have never been to the banquet. Thanks for bringing up a sore spot. <cries>
5. When do these tickets go on sale? March?
6. When will the dates for the next one be announced? January?
7. What is your name? Sir Robin of Camelot.
8. What is your quest? To seek the Holy Grail.
9. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow? I don't know that!

There was a blitz or two in there. Doing well here. How are you going CH?
Meh. Things are stressful. I'm looking into some agencies (maybe temp-to-hire or something) for jobs in Los Angeles. One of them called me today and said they were impressed by my resume and want me to come in. That's good at least.

It's weird reading stuff from three years ago.
June 20th, 2008: Guys! At the Mozilla party there was an adorable stuffed Firefox from Japan. His name was "Foxkeh" and at the end of launch party, he want missing! If you've seen him or knows where he might be, could you drop beltzner@mozilla.com a line? He looks like this. Thanks!
Edit: Wow: It is almost exactly three years ago.

What have you been doing while laid up? There is nothing better you can do while prone than reading Canticle. Nothing. At all.
EDIT: Don't read any reviews or Cliff's Notes, either. Just read the book and enjoy. No spoilers. Eeeeeeeeeeeeee.
*dies*
I'd send you my copy, but it's one of my most precious possessions. You might consider coughing up as much as a buck-fifty for it, you know. :PEDIT: Canticle is right up your alley in so many ways. I'm dying to know your opinion of it.
Yes! Read Canticle! Also, do not watch the Babylon 5 episode featuring JMS's love poem to the book, written in iambic pendumbiter.
How did I miss that Master Leafy, Dr Double Honors, has never. read. Canticle. O.o That is like ... YOUR book. Gods man! The Christian symbology in the book! It even has the Wandering Jew in it! You must read it.
I know, right? But do not do not do not spoil it for the Greenman. I'd like to be a brain slug during that reading.
