Ugh. It's been a rough few days.
We went to the zoo on Mother's Day, which was awesome. But I kinda overdid it. More than kinda. I was totally wiped out by the time we got home. And to add to the discomfort I actually got sunburned through my clothes. Apparently my shirt was too thin to provide proper sun protection....yes, folks, I really am that pale....
Anyhoo, on Monday I was pretty much up to laying in bed with occasional trips to the bathroom and that was about it. Not too uncommon after overdoing it so much. We got dinner out and I figured I'd feel better the next day. How wrong I was. As I was getting into bed that night I fainted and woke up a while later in a puddle of vomit. More vomit ensued. It was super gross needless to say. Thankfully I was able to reach my phone so I could call my husband to come and help me clean up the vomit and get off the floor and into bed. (We have separate bedrooms. It's just what works for us.) I felt so bad having to get him up in the middle of the night when I knew he had an early flight in the morning, but the alternative was sleeping on the floor next to the vomit puddles, so....yeah...
So Tuesday was basically spent throwing up and sleeping. By the end of the day I was able to keep down a little bit of bland food though. So mercifully short illness.
Today I was still feverish and feeling icky, so slept through the first half of the day. But then I had to go grocery shopping since we were out of everything. And then cook dinner which I at least got to eat a few bites of before my stomach got upset. And tutor the kidlet in math because he has a test this week and didn't understand the material. And wash the dishes. Mommy duty kinda sucks when I'm not feeling well. But at least no more vomiting, so that's happy. Here's hoping the kidlet doesn't end up coming down with this too.

I'm so sorry, lynora! That's awful!
Trite as it may sound, I'll be praying for you: I know how terrible such sicknesses can be. I'm glad the vomiting was over quickly, though.
And we know, well, how much families love to share...
One idea, though I don't know how it works for you: the school strip-laundry/take-a-shower, immediately after kidlet returns from school - not even doing anything else before then. That might help limit some of the communicable diseases. That might not be viable with time schedules (it's often not, for us), but it helped my sister's family last year, when they were so sick.

A duck walks into a bar and asks the bartender "Got any grapes?" The bartender says "No", so the duck leaves. The next day the duck comes back and asks "Got any grapes?" Bartender says "No". This goes on everyday for weeks, with the bartender getting more and more upset with the duck. One day, the duck asks "Got any grapes?" and the bartender loses it. He yells "No! We don't have any f'in grapes! If you ask me if we have grapes one more time I'm gonna nail your beak to the wall!" The duck leaves. The next day, the duck comes back, walks up to the bartender and says "Got any nails?" Bartender says "What? No, I don't have any nails." The duck says "In that case, got any grapes?"

As a special favor, for FaWtLiers only, if it is funded I'll consider not posting any puns for a day.
Maybe.
But I like puns!!!
I feel bad because I'd love to help but as someone who has €30 to finish the month I know it would be a bad idea.
I need summer to come soon so I can get more work and more money but right now I'm broke.

That's horrible. Hoping for a swift recovery and no contagiousness.

IndiI don't know how can I do to upload them in higher quality and put them together without a PC at homethe, but at least I like how they are coming out!
Lady Argentea Malassene done too!
You might recognize her for her nude version from another pic. This time she is wearing a dragonhide armor and I loved drawing it.

Chris Cornell of Audioslave, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog. dies at age 52.
T.T
I have to admit I only knew him for Casino Royale but that song was awesome! (I have even used it as a soundtrack for a game)He was a really talented artist.
EDIT: Dalindra has just said I look like a more pale version of Argentea... with freckles xD

Two men walk into a bar. The third one ducks.
Totally reminds me of our "IKEA moment".
I'm 5'6", NobodysWife is 5'8", Shiro's player is 6'3", and Hi's player is 6'4".We were headed in to IKEA, and for some reason we were in a great hurry. Walking very quickly, I strolled right under a sign in the parking lot. Behind me, there was a tremendous BANG!!!
Hi's player had been looking at his phone and following me using his peripheral vision. The sign I walked right under was at forehead level for him. He hit the sign hard enough to cause a huge red mark and some swelling.
Needless to say, we were all utterly delighted by the whole thing. Because we're cruel.

In other news, hands up who wants a Fondoodler?
We have something quite similar at work, but for chocolate.
I am intrigued by the cheese spin on it though... but, not for that price. :-)

Wow... just... wow...
My co-workers seem bound and determined to continue to prove that I can never be fired, nor take a long vacation.
They just handed over a set of practices for "final final testing", which implies that they've fixed all the formatting, tested the labs, and everything should be hunky-dory.
Except, working through them, they haven't even bothered with the formatting, much less testing them. Every lab is crashing and burning in a horrific manner, as none of them have been tested in several releases. And I get to report all of this to our manager...
...who has now officially declared the test a "fail", sent everything back to the devs to fix, notified the VP that the course will be late because of them, and now instead of "testing" I am doing a "courtesy run-through" whereby I tell them everything that's broken, with no obligation to debug or reformat.
Others' incompetence -- the ultimate in job security!
