Just buy a bunch of red t-shirts and pass them out to your neighbors. Have red t-shirt party the day before the zombie apocalyspe. You'll be safe.
I just got this guy the other day. You just need a bulk order of a few thousand and you'll be GTG.

Shouldn't that be a greataxe... against someone else's armour?

Was waiting for someone else to mention it. I assume it's the greataxe wielder, not the person wearing armour.

Phenergan can be like a divine gift during chemo and Chrone's disease post op care. It's hard to overstate what a difference I've seen it make.

It is an amazing drug. I was fortunate enough to have it prescribed after my appendectomy turned into surgery to remove part of my bowel.

I just had a friend go through surgery for his Crohn's Disease. What a hideous affliction.

Is that the stuff they do intravenously in the hospital to stop nausea? It's amazing. They get on it pretty quick after surgeries, too, when the morphine makes you heave. :)
There are a lot of ways to deliver it, but the IV form is just amazing.

I know admitting this is borderline embarrassing, but the suppository form is really nice as well. Much better than the traditional pill.

It may excuse a brief deviation, but there are lots of threads for political venting, and we can always make more.

We should always strive to keep this thread non political and non religious. There are lots of other places to have those discussions.

I may be overly touchy about this this because my own views can be so intense.

Anyone know where that guy with the Zon-Kuthon avatar went? Is he on the OTD still?

I can't go on political or religious discussions. My views are intense.

Mildly political? I don't know:
First page of the Ron Paul thread I almost said something that, to the majority of those posting there, would have been inflammatory, though not for the reason you may expect.
I tried, during my first stint on the forums, to keep off those threads and content myself with yelling at the radio and newspaper.

Liberty's Edge

I don't like to offend people in one place and then pretend at cordiality elsewhere. From what little I already know of you (BT), I expect I'd alienate you very quickly. I know I offended Solnes once (well, she offended me first). It was sad.

Oddly enough, my forum etiquette decayed with time.

Yeah, that rings a bell. I think that was him.

I don't think it's two faced to have some compartmentalization. My Dad and sister have far different views than I, but I still love them. We are not likely to change the others' views, but that doesn't define our relationship. My views are extreme enough that very few people who are close to me have very similar views, but that doesn't prevent us from being close.

I'm not saying you should necessarily jump into the political threads, but I think it's quite possible to have very divergent views and get along fine without merely pretending to be cordial.

Does that make sense?

I'm 42. 4 years ago I started having some difficulty seeing street signs. I now have 20/30 vision. Never had surgery. The thought of putting something actually ON my eye freaks me out -- so I have glasses. (But only really wear them to watch tv/movies and for driving.)

My eyesight is horrid, I must wear glasses. Can't stand touching my eyes. I might get to the contact level at some point but not today.

I wear glasses. I've tried contact lenses several times, but I'm still not to the point where I can keep them in. (Plus the whole "stabbing yourself in the eye with your finger" thing doesn't work for me.) I've worn glasses since 5th grade because I wasn't able to read the board. (No, not that board.) I don't need them for driving, fortunately, but I wear them all the time anyway. So, results of poll: Everyone here wears glasses!

RIP Marshall Dillon

I bet you've never heard ol' Marshall Dillion say
Miss Kitty have you ever thought of running away
Settling down would you marry me?
If I asked you twice and begged you pretty please
She'd have said yes in a New York minute
They never tied the knot
His heart wasn't in it
He just stole a kiss as he rode away
He never hung his hat up at Kitty's place

I should've been a cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
Oh I should've been a cowboy

I might of had a sidekick with a funny name
Running wild through the hills chasing Jesse James
Ending up on the brink of danger
Riding shotgun for the Texas Rangers
Go west young man, haven't you been told
California's full of whiskey, women and gold
Sleeping out all night beneath the desert stars
With a dream in my eye and a prayer...
In my heart

I should've been a Cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
Wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
Oh I should've been a cowboy

I should've been a Cowboy
I should've learned to rope and ride
I'd be wearing my six-shooter riding my pony on a cattle drive
Stealing the young girl's hearts
Just like Gene and Roy
Singing those campfire songs
Oh I should've been a Cowboy
Yeah I should've been a Cowboy
Yeah I should've been a Cowboy

Marshall Dillon. Stuff of my early childhood.

If so, does that mean Freehold is leaving soon, 'cause I really want his corner office...

Ok, so a bunch of people use glasses, except for 8th dwarf.

Gark the Goblin wrote:

Glasses. I tried contacts for a while, but my allergies rendered that impossible. My eyes were always either too watery or too dry and very much too itchy. There were a lot of things I liked about contacts, but I just couldn't make them work for me.

Edit: Wearing nothing bu glasses for the top. :)
